Chapter 660: Chapter 660: Lin Meixi

"Same for me," he said confidently. "100 talismans and the rest is your fee."

Yu Holea’s smile grew wider.

"You two are... quite generous," she said, slipping her phone back into her pocket.

Just then, Mrs. Chu, who had been quietly observing the exchange, stepped forward with a bright smile.

She looked Yu Holea up and down, her eyes full of approval.

"Miss Yu," Mrs. Chu began, her voice sweet and cheerful, "you’re so capable! And strong! My son, Wugao, is very talented too, you know.

He’s a top-tier businessman and a martial arts champion. And he’s very kind and respectful. You’d make a great pair!"

Chu Wugao: "..." Martial Arts champion? Mom, I have only won a kid’s karate championship!

Yu Holea forced a smile.

"Mom, stop it!" Chu Wugao hissed, his face turning red.

Mrs. Chu ignored him and continued, "He’s also very handsome, don’t you think? And he’s got a good heart. You won’t find a better man!"

Yu Holea rubbed the back of her neck, clearly uncomfortable.

"Uh... thank you, Mrs. Chu, but I think I should get going now," she said quickly, inching toward the door.

Mrs. Chu opened her mouth to say more, but Yu Holea was already halfway out. She gave a polite bow and said,

"Take care, everyone," before disappearing down the hallway.

As the door closed behind her, Chu Wugao buried his face in his hands.

"Mom, why did you do that?!" he groaned.

Mrs. Chu just chuckled. "I’m just looking out for you, Wugao. A woman like her doesn’t come around often."

Nan Kelin smirked, patting Chu Wugao on the back.

"Well, at least now we know who she favors," he teased, making Chu Wugao glare at him.

Chu Wugao rolled his eyes,

"She is not interested in me and I am not interested in her. My girlfriend just now got arrested, do you truly think I will be in the mood to think about all of this stuff?"

Nan Kelin gave an understanding look to Chu Wugao,

"I can understand you! How about this, to comfort you, I will sleep with you today."

"Sure." Chu Wugao agreed.

Mrs. Chu rolled her eyes. The reality was both of them were afraid and didn’t want to be all alone and hence were acting this way.

She turned to leave but didn’t forget to tell them,

"Don’t sleep in bed together. Anything beyond kissing has to wait till marriage."

Chu Wugao: "..."

Nan Kelin: "..."

..............................

When Yu Holea returned to her villa, it was already 4 pm.

She used refreshing talismans and took a nap in her space for the next 3 hours. With a fresh face, she went to the shooting location.

A news went viral in the morning.

Nan Kelin, one of the top A-Rank celebrities, had followed an E-Rank celebrity named Yu Holea.

Some thought they were dating, while some thought the news was fake.

The news was soon buried.

Yu Holea arrived at the drama set in the afternoon.

Her expression was calm as she made her way to her assigned room, ready to prepare for her scenes.

However, when she pushed the door open, she was greeted by an unexpected sight.

The room was no longer hers.

The third female lead, Lin Meixi, was lounging comfortably on the sofa, sipping tea while her assistant busily organized her things.

Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed slightly as she stepped into the room.

"This is my room," she said firmly, her voice cool but polite.

Lin Meixi didn’t even look up.

She took another sip of tea, then placed the cup down delicately before finally meeting Yu Holea’s gaze.

"Oh, I know," Lin Meixi said, her tone light and unbothered.

"But I needed a more comfortable space. Your room is bigger, and I thought it’d be better for me to stay here."

Yu Holea’s expression didn’t change.

"You thought wrong. This is my room. Please move your things out."

Lin Meixi gave a small, amused laugh. "You’re straightforward. I like that." She leaned forward slightly, her smile sharp.

"How about this? I’ll pay you 500 yuan per day. You let me use your room, and we both benefit."

Yu Holea’s eyes turned icy.

"I’m not interested. I suggest you leave now."

At that, Lin Meixi’s assistant stepped forward, her face filled with annoyance.

"Miss Yu, I think you don’t understand the situation," the assistant said sharply.

"Our Miss Lin isn’t just anyone. Her backer is the second-biggest investor in this drama. You don’t want to upset someone as important as her."

Yu Holea’s gaze shifted to the assistant, her eyes cold and unyielding.

"Is that supposed to scare me?" she asked, her voice calm but with a sharp edge.

"I don’t care who her backer is. This room was assigned to me, and I’m not giving it up."

Lin Meixi’s smile faltered slightly, but she quickly recovered.

"Miss Yu, you’re being a bit unreasonable," she said, her tone still pleasant but now laced with irritation.

"It’s just a room. Why make a big deal out of it? I’m one of the main cast. Surely you understand who has more influence here."

Yu Holea crossed her arms, her expression unwavering.

"Influence doesn’t matter when you’re wrong. This is my space. You have your own room. Use it."

Lin Meixi’s assistant huffed, clearly frustrated.

"Miss Lin is trying to be kind by offering you money! You should be grateful for her generosity instead of causing trouble."

Yu Holea’s lips curled into a faint, humorless smile.

"Generosity? That’s an interesting way to describe taking someone else’s room without permission."

Lin Meixi’s calm demeanor began to crack. She set her teacup down with a sharp clink and stood up, her eyes narrowing.

"Miss Yu, I don’t think you understand how things work here. If you keep this attitude, you’ll regret it."

Yu Holea didn’t flinch. She stood her ground, her voice steady.

"The only thing I regret is wasting time arguing with you. I’ll say this one last time: leave my room, or I’ll have the director settle this."

Lin Meixi’s assistant scoffed.

"Do you really think the director would side with you? He wouldn’t dare offend Miss Lin or her backer!"

Yu Holea’s patience was wearing thin. She took out her phone and calmly started dialing.

Lin Meixi frowned. "What are you doing?"

"Calling the director," Yu Holea replied coolly.

"We’ll see what he has to say about this."

The assistant’s eyes widened, and she quickly leaned toward Lin Meixi, whispering something urgently.

Lin Meixi’s expression darkened, but she didn’t stop Yu Holea.

Within moments, the director answered the call.

"Miss Yu, is something wrong?" the director’s voice came through the speaker.

"Yes," Yu Holea said plainly.

"There seems to be a misunderstanding. My assigned room is currently occupied by Miss Lin. She refuses to leave and claims her backer has more influence. I’d like this resolved immediately."

There was a brief pause on the other end before the director replied, his tone cautious but firm.

"I’ll handle it right away, Miss Yu. Please wait a moment."

Lin Meixi’s assistant looked panicked now, but Lin Meixi kept her composure, though her jaw tightened.

"You didn’t have to escalate this," Lin Meixi said, her voice cold. "You’ll make enemies you don’t need."

Yu Holea slipped her phone back into her pocket.

"I don’t care about making enemies. I care about doing what’s right."

A few minutes later, the director arrived, his expression serious.

He glanced between the two actresses and then focused on Lin Meixi.

"Miss Lin, this room belongs to Miss Yu. Please move back to your assigned room," he said firmly.

Lin Meixi’s face turned pale, and her assistant immediately started protesting.

"Director, you can’t seriously expect Miss Lin to—"

The director raised a hand to silence her.

"The room assignments are final. If there’s an issue, it can be discussed with the production team. But for now, Miss Lin, please respect the arrangements."

Lin Meixi clenched her fists, her pride clearly wounded. But she forced a tight smile and nodded.

"Of course, Director. I was just trying to make things more convenient, but I’ll move my things."

The assistant muttered under her breath but quickly began packing up Lin Meixi’s belongings.

Yu Holea said nothing, her expression as calm as ever.

Once Lin Meixi and her assistant were gone, the director turned to Yu Holea with an apologetic smile.

"I’m sorry for the inconvenience, Miss Yu. Please let me know if there are any other issues."

Yu Holea nodded. "Thank you for handling it."

The director only smiled.

In his mind though he sighed.

How could he dare not handle it?

Yu Holea was an artist of Bright Star company. Though Yu Holea and the company kept the matter secret, he had his own ways of knowing about these secret connections.

Who was Bright Star? The leading entertainment company!

Only a fool would dare to bully their artist!

"It was not a big deal. If you face any other issues, just tell." The director said with a smile.

Yu Holea nodded.

The director excused himself and left the room, leaving Yu Holea alone.
