Chapter 591: Chapter 591: Aunt Mila’s Arrival
Vivian’s pride flared, but her desperation was starting to show.
She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Hu Song stepped forward, addressing her directly.
"Vivian, you made a big deal about this.
Said you’d teach her a lesson, that you’d win no matter what.
And now? You’re just going to walk away?"
Another staff member joined in, unable to hide their smirk.
"I thought you were more... dignified than this, Vivian."
Vivian’s face contorted as the shame and frustration bubbled up inside her.
Her eyes darted to the expectant faces around her, all waiting for her next move.
Finally, she exhaled in resignation, her voice bitter.
"Fine," she muttered through clenched teeth. "If this is what you all want."
With a quick, jerky motion, she took out her phone, tapping furiously on the screen as she navigated to her banking app.
She looked up, her eyes burning with resentment as she met Yu Holea’s gaze.
"I hope you’re proud of yourself, now that you have snatched money from me, you gold digger!" she spat.
Yu Holea’s expression softened,
"I’m simply holding you to your word, Vivian. It’s what you wanted, remember?"
Does she want to paint Yu Holea as a person who scams money from others? Dream on!
Vivian gritted her teeth as she punched in the transfer amount, her hand trembling with anger.
As she hit the final button, a notification pinged on Yu Holea’s phone, confirming the transfer.
One of the crew members couldn’t resist a final jab.
"Guess she really taught you a lesson, Vivian."
Vivian’s face burned as she tried to hold back tears, barely holding onto her dignity.
"You...Yu Holea just wait! My mother will be here soon, just see how I will deal with you once she arrives!"
She glared at Yu Holea one last time before storming off the set, her heels clicking sharply against the floor.
Mo Jiang mocked,
"Some people just don’t reform even after seeing the coffin."
Ni Wulin chuckled joining hands with Mo Jiang,
"Right? According to them, they are never wrong."
Vivian almost staggered, she turned her head in Mo Jiang and Ni Wulin’s direction with a glare.
Mo Jiang made a face and ignored her.
Jung Xiao patted Yu Holea’s back and said with admiration in her eyes,
"Wow, where did you learn the piano from? With that type of piano skill, you can easily rank on an international scale! Who is your teacher?"
"Self-learned." Yu Holea replied calmly. Her mind was occupied with other thoughts. After knowing about Qiao Jun’s suffering she was dead set on teaching the mother-daughter pair a lesson...
"I have a script for you." Director Ou’s voice broke Yu Holea’s daze.
She raised an eyebrow, not understanding what Director Ou was saying.
Director Ou’s eyes sparkled as he told the truth,
"I recently encountered a talented scriptwriter. The script I am talking about is written by the scriptwriter and it is based on a genius pianist.
I want you to audition for it once the shooting of this movie is over."
Yu Holea’s piano skills touched Director Ou. Other than preparing for the movie on which he was working on currently, he was also working on casting for the other script.
There were many candidates, but Director Ou particularly wished for an actress who not only knows acting but also piano.
He did find many, but most of them could only be on par with some domestically famous pianists.
When he saw Vivian’s piano skills just now, he was filled with excitement and almost handed the script to her.
But Yu Holea’s performance made him realize how low his standard was.
Yu Holea shook her head,
"Let’s see."
Her acting though good, couldn’t be called excellent. She didn’t want to take any movie, she didn’t have the confidence to perform well.
Director Ou noticed her hesitation, his tone softening.
"Holea, I wouldn’t have offered it if I didn’t believe you were ready. It’s not just your talent at the piano that impressed me—it’s your poise, your presence. You have a rare quality that few actresses can master."
Yu Holea smiled modestly, glancing down for a moment before looking back at him.
"Thank you, Director Ou. It means a lot, but I... I’d like to think about it."
Jung Xiao nudged her playfully.
"Are you kidding, Yu? With those skills? Don’t downplay yourself. You made everyone feel something when you played. That’s more than just technique!"
The jovial atmosphere was ruined when Aunt Mila entered, heels clicking loudly on the floor, her gaze sharp and directed at Yu Holea.
Vivian, who had been waiting near the door, rushed over to her mother, grasping her arm.
"Mom, you wouldn’t believe what just happened! She humiliated me in front of everyone! She slapped me!"
Vivian cast a scornful look in Yu Holea’s direction, her tone dripping with indignation.
"She even practically forced me to hand over my money."
Mo Jiang instantly defended,
"Hey! You can eat whatever you want, but you can’t say whatever you think! You were the one who provoked her first!"
"Yeah! As for the money, you made the bet and placed money as the bait! Since you lost, it was natural that you have to hand the money!" Ni Wulin scolded
Vivian’s face turned red from anger as she shouted,
"Shut up! Shut up! You both! You are just her lackey! Yu Holea don’t you feel ashamed for hiding behind your minions?"
"Who? Me?" Yu Holea pointed a finger at herself, then chuckled,
"Are you sure, that you want me to open my mouth? What if I did and you lose 2 billion yuan again?"
Vivian’s face turned pale,
"Shut the f*ck up! What are you saying!"
Aunt Mila who was about to scold Yu Holea froze. Her eyes turned toward Vivian as she asked in disbelief,
"What? You lost 2 billion yuan?"
"I-I didn’t lose it... not exactly," Vivian stammered, her voice growing softer under her mother’s piercing glare.
Aunt Mila’s eyes narrowed, her voice icy.
"Vivian, 2 billion yuan doesn’t just vanish into thin air. Explain yourself."
2 billion yuan was a lot even if it was converted into euros.
Vivian shot a desperate glance at Yu Holea, hoping she’d stay quiet.
But Yu Holea remained calm, her expression unbothered as she folded her arms, watching the exchange with mild interest.
"I was...," Vivian started, her gaze shifting.
"It was just a small wager—nothing serious. I... I was certain I would win, so I didn’t think it was a risk."
"Didn’t think it was a risk?" Aunt Mila’s voice was laced with disbelief, and she cast a dark glance toward Yu Holea.
"And I assume you were the one she wagered against?"
Yu Holea met Aunt Mila’s gaze with a serene smile.
"Though I challenged her, I didn’t force her. As for the money, it was indeed me who proposed to use it, but in the end, she was the one who agreed."
Mila’s jaw tightened, and she turned back to Vivian, her eyes flashing with disappointment.
"You gambled our money and lost—over a petty challenge?"
"It wasn’t just a petty challenge, Mother! She’s been undermining me, trying to make me look like a fool in front of everyone!" Vivian tried her best to explain but Aunt Mila’s face turned even more ugly.
Aunt Mila exhaled sharply, her tone barely restrained.
"And did that work out for you, Vivian? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you humiliated yourself."
At that, Jung Xiao couldn’t hold back a snicker. Vivian shot her a venomous glare, but Jung Xiao merely shrugged.
"You were the one who wanted to make a scene."
Ni Wulin chimed in, feigning innocence.
"Maybe next time, don’t put 2 billion on the line just to prove a point."
Vivian clenched her fists, looking as if she was about to explode, but Aunt Mila held up a hand, silencing her.
"Enough."
She turned back to Yu Holea,
"Return her money back to her."
"I won’t." Yu Holea smiled brightly. "I won it fair and square."
Aunt Mila’s face darkened,
"Where is the proof? You don’t have any-"
"I have." Yu Holea waved the letter of guarantee.
Aunt Mila suddenly turned to Jung Xiao who was standing close to Yu Holea and said,
"Tear that paper."
Jung Xiao’s eyes widened for a few seconds before it turned dulled and she suddenly attacked Yu Holea.
Rustle.
Jung Xiao instantly snatched the paper from Yu Holea’s hand and tore it.
Vivian tried to stop her mother,
"Mother she-"
However, Aunt Mila stopped and looked at Yu Holea with a smile.
"Now, where is the proof."
Yu Holea stared at the paper which was torn, and calmly pointed at the people present at the scene,
"They did. They have scene everything. They are my proof."
Aunt Mila smiled maliciously and snapped her finger.
Within a few minutes, the staff, the actress, the actors, and directors turned dull.
"Forget everything that has happened today!" Aunt Mila calmly ordered
