Yu Holea wanted to mock him again, but her body told her that any further action could lead to serious consequences, hence she gave up and smiled obediently.

Qiao Jun satisfied by her obedience continued,

"Next time, don’t provoke me."

"Hm." Yu Holea gave a half-hearted response.

Qiao Jun raised an eyebrow and he suddenly caressed her hair, in a soft voice he said,

"Baby, I love it when you scheme against others. Even if you scheme against me, I will still love you. A lot. But if you dared to mess with the engagement, see how I will deal with you."

Yu Holea’s body trembled and she couldn’t help but look away. A hint of guilt flashed in her eyes, which she tried her best to hide but Qiao Jun noticed it.

He narrowed his eyes and fell into deep thought. He snapped out of his daze when Yu Holea agreed softly,

"Yes, I know."

Qiao Jun didn’t continue to threaten her. He wasn’t the type of person who barks like a dog. Especially after what he had gone through.

Yu Holea suddenly asked,

"Brother Jun, were you truly in a coma for 3 years?"

Qiao Jun’s body stiffened a bit. He calmly cradled Yu Holea,

"Yes."

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow. Why was he lying?

How come Yu Holea didn’t know about where Qiao Jun was? In fact, she had a crazy possibility in her mind.

Just she couldn’t confirm it, yet.

"Okay. It must have been hard, right?" Yu Holea continued to probe.

Qiao Jun chuckled,

"Baby, are you worried? Don’t stress yourself out. Let’s sleep, okay?"

Yu Holea didn’t force him and agreed. Once Qiao Jun lay her on the bed, her body relaxed. Even though she was slightly angry with him and wanted to teach him a lesson, she couldn’t deny the relief every time she felt when she was around him.

Once Qiao Jun lay beside her, he wrapped his hand around the waist and pulled her closer. His other hand acted as a pillow for Yu Holea.

So she first removed those spies who didn’t tell her the news in time and asked one of her trusted subordinates to check all the other subordinates.

The result that came out made her even more surprised. 50% of her subordinates were already bought by Yu Mei and were working for her(Yu Mei)

As for the rest 50%, Yu Holea doubted that Yu Mei knew about their existence.

Yu Holea stepped into the hallway, her gaze landing on Sheng Yin and Yu Shuchang, who were crouched down in a quiet conversation.

At her sudden appearance, both of them snapped to attention, startled expressions quickly morphing into calm composure.

Sheng Yin straightened up, a hint of warmth in her eyes as she looked at Yu Holea.

"Good morning, Holea. Hope we didn’t wake you."

Yu Holea shook her head,

"Not at all. I actually feel well-rested, thanks to the peace last night. Thank you for coming to listen to my rant last night."

To make herself look like a pitiful woman, Yu Holea squeezed out some tears and looked as if she was trying to look strong, though she was heartbroken.

Sheng Yin and Yu Shuchang immediately felt sad for her.

Sheng Yin felt her anger slightly rising. That scumbag Qiao Jun dared to hurt her Lea, just wait! She will take revenge for her Lea soon!

Qiao Jun sneezed and rubbed his nose, muttering,

She wished Qiao Li and Sheng Yin could become her sister-in-law but Qiao Li likes the stinky young master of the Ou family, which made Yu Holea disheartened.
