Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 588: Sugar Daddy

Chapter 588: Chapter 588: Sugar Daddy

Yu Holea felt helpless and dragged Mo Jiang to her room. Ni Wulin and Jung Xiao followed behind her.

Once in Yu Holea’s room, Mo Jiang suddenly hugged Yu Holea and said softly,

"Don’t be sad, I will take care of the rumor. It’s alright. We know you are innocent."

Yu Holea was utterly confused, as she pushed Mo Jiang away and asked,

"What do you mean? Why can’t I understand any of your words?"

Mo Jiang blinked, her eyes were filled with confusion. Ni Wulin and Jung Xiao were surprised too, by Yu Holea’s reaction.

Yu Holea stared back at them trying to figure out their absurd reaction.

"Holea, you don’t need to act for us. It’s okay to feel vulnerable." Mo Jiang misunderstood Yu Holea’s staring. She thought Yu Holea was trying to act strong for them.

Her heart ached.

Ni Wulin and Jung Xiao however felt that there was something amiss with Yu Holea’s reaction.

"Holea, did you see the internal group?"

Yu Holea frowned and shook her head explaining,

"They chat too much and all of them are nonsensical, so I don’t pay attention."

Ni Wulin, Jung Xiao, and Mo Jiang exchanged glances and came up with a plan. Tell her the truth.

Mo Jiang held Yu Holea’s hands, leading her to a nearby chair, Ni Wulin went to fetch a water bottle, while Jung Xiao looked around to ensure no one was eavesdropping before closing the door.

Yu Holea’s confusion grew as she watched her friends fuss over her with such seriousness, and she sat down, trying to make sense of it.

Mo Jiang’s hand tightened over hers, and Ni Wulin held out the water bottle, urging her to take a sip.

"Holea, take a deep breath," Mo Jiang began, her expression solemn. "What I’m about to say...I need you to stay calm before reacting, okay?"

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow but nodded.

What could be so dire?

Mo Jiang inhaled deeply, choosing her words carefully.

"There’s a rumor going around among the cast. Someone has been spreading the word that...well, that you’re having a relationship with Director Gong."

Yu Holea’s brows furrowed, and she tilted her head, genuinely baffled.

"A relationship with Director Gong?"

Mo Jiang quickly continued,

"Not just a relationship, but they’re saying you’re...intimately involved. Apparently, Ai Han, Director Gong’s assistant, is claiming she saw you and Director Gong together. That he’s been... funding you."

As Mo Jiang’s words sank in, Ni Wulin and Jung Xiao watched Yu Holea closely, each holding their breath, expecting an emotional reaction.

But rather than reacting with anger or embarrassment, Yu Holea’s expression remained steady.

She blinked a few times, then set her water bottle down carefully.

"Oh," she said finally, a slight smile playing on her lips. "That’s what it’s about?"

She was thinking about what Yu Mei could be possibly pulling next.

’Was this the trick she could up with?’ Yu Holea thought.

Jung Xiao, who had braced himself for an outburst, exchanged a bewildered look with Ni Wulin. Mo Jiang’s brows knitted together in concern.

"Holea, didn’t you hear me? Ai Han is spreading the word that you’re...using Director Gong as a sugar daddy."

Yu Holea chuckled softly, shaking her head.

"I heard you perfectly, Mo Jiang. And trust me, I appreciate you all telling me. But... this? How should I explain...It’s just a rumor, one that I’ll handle soon enough. It’s hardly worth the worry."

The trio stared at her, stunned by her poise. Mo Jiang bit her lip, uncertain.

"Are you sure? I mean... these kinds of things can spread fast."

"People love a good scandal, Mo Jiang. Let them talk," Yu Holea replied. A smirk appeared on her face as she continued, "If they dare to lie without evidence, I can prove truth with evidence."

Anyways she had already taken a video clip copy from Zhang Meilin and could post it anytime, but she wasn’t going to upload the truth right away.

If Ai Han wants to act so shamelessly and ruin her(Yu Holea’s) reputation, then she, Yu Holea won’t mind teaching her a thing or two.

Her calmness was unexpected, almost unnerving. Mo Jiang opened her mouth to argue, then closed it, reconsidering.

This was Holea after all—a woman who rarely let anything shake her.

She could exorcise the ghosts and cure a disease even top experts in the medical field can’t cure.

Still, to be this composed?

Jung Xiao crossed his arms, a slight smile appearing on his face as he watched her.

"I don’t know how you do it, Holea. That’s a nasty rumor, yet here you are, acting like it’s nothing."

Yu Holea shrugged a glint of mischief in her eyes.

"A nasty rumor, yes, but it could be a chance to become famous."

Mo Jiang’s eyes suddenly widened as a thought struck her. She turned to Yu Holea, her mouth half-open in shock.

"Wait, Holea... do you have evidence against Ai Han?"

Yu Holea didn’t hesitate, her tone smooth and assured as she replied,

"Yes, I do. Ai Han was the one involved with Director Gong, not me. I managed to get a video clip from Zhang Meilin that shows her sleeping with Director Gong and getting caught by everyone. She’s the one playing these games, so there’s no need for any of us to stress over this rumor."

Mo Jiang, Jung Xiao, and Ni Wulin froze, processing her words.

The expressions on their faces shifted from shock to realization, and then to indignation. Mo Jiang gripped the water bottle in her hand tightly, her voice laced with frustration.

"That... that shameless woman! She has the nerve to go around spreading lies about you while she’s the one sneaking around with the director? How low can she get?"

Jung Xiao crossed his arms, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I knew Ai Han was ambitious, but this... this is something else entirely. And here she is, acting so righteous in front of everyone."

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow,

"You know her?"

"Hm. I have worked with Director Gong once and I felt that the man was quite talented, who knew....forget it. A man’s nature and words can never be trusted." Jung Xiao waved her hand.

"But what irritates me the most is Ai Han! That witch is like a crazy dog biting anyone she sees." Jung Xiao rolls her eyes.

Ni Wulin clenched his fists, visibly annoyed.

"It’s disgusting. And that Director Gong? To think he’d go along with her games and play innocent."

Yu Holea chuckled, her eyes glinting with an amused calm.

"Let her play her games. If she’s so eager to ruin my reputation, I’ll show her the consequences of her actions.

But not just yet. If I release the video now, she’ll just deny everything, and it’ll turn into a he-said-she-said situation.

I want to wait until she’s comfortable, thinking her lies have stuck. When the time is right, that’s when I’ll expose her."

Mo Jiang leaned in, her gaze fierce.

"You’re right, Holea. If we act too quickly, she’ll just play innocent. But when the truth comes out... she won’t have anywhere to hide."

Jung Xiao and Ni Wulin exchanged a look, admiration, and excitement clear in their eyes. Ni Wulin grinned, giving Yu Holea an approving nod.

"You’ve got the perfect plan. Ai Han won’t know what hit her."

Mo Jiang’s initial anger softened into a grin as she leaned back, feeling more at ease now that she knew Yu Holea had everything under control.

"You’re amazing, Holea. I was ready to go out there and give Ai Han a piece of my mind, but you’re right. We need to play it smart."

Yu Holea smiled, appreciating their support but urging them to stay patient.

"Exactly. I know it’s frustrating, but trust me on this. Ai Han thinks she has the upper hand right now, so let’s let her keep thinking that."

Mo Jiang raised her fist in the air, her face lighting up with excitement. "Then we’ll be here, ready for the day you drop that video. She’ll regret every word she’s said about you."

Jung Xiao smirked,

"And we’ll make sure she feels every ounce of embarrassment she tried to put on you."

Just then the door was knocked by the assistant director who asked them to come out as the shooting was about to begin.

Yu Holea nods at Mo Jiang, Ni Wulin, and Jung Xiao and all of them leave the room.

Once they exit the room, they hear some of the staff whispering.

"Hey did you hear? That actress playing the role of the second lead sleeps with Director Gong."

"Really? But she doesn’t look like the type of person who would resort to such measures. She looks so innocent."

"What do you know? That is the persona she is trying to create. Can an innocent person survive in our field?"

"Hm...now that you have pointed out, I think I know why she wasn’t afraid of Tao Huaqin! Maybe her sugar daddy took care of him."
