Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 585: Marriage

Chapter 585: Chapter 585: Marriage

Yet she asked with trembling lips and clenched fist,

"What was it?"

Qiao Jun lowered his head,

"To marry someone else."

Yu Holea’s breathing hitched. Her mind was filled with the possibilities.

What if Qiao Jun didn’t recover his memory? He might have...

"I called my aunt right away and told her, to stop the hypnotism imprints and I would do as she said.

She was pleased with my attitude and agreed and paused the imprint for the time being."

"Who was that person?" Yu Holea asked but an answer had appeared in her mind.

After hearing the entire story, she had a basic understanding of how twisted Aunt Mila was.

"Vivian." Qiao Jun almost whispered in a soft voice.

Yu Holea’s fists tightened, her knuckles turning white as the revelation sank in.

The fury and disbelief she felt were overwhelming.

"Vivian?!" she spat out, her voice trembling with anger.

"She wants you to marry her daughter, after everything she’s done to you? After manipulating you, controlling your mind, and trapping you in her sick game?"

Qiao Jun’s expression was grim. He knew how much this would hurt Yu Holea, but he had no choice but to be honest.

"Yes," he said quietly.

"She thinks that by marrying me to Vivian, she can secure her influence over me forever.

Even if I break free from her hypnotism, being tied to her daughter would keep me within her reach."

Yu Holea couldn’t believe that Aunt Mila would go this far, and she could hardly believe the audacity of it all.

"And you agreed to this?" she asked.

If Qiao Jun dared to nod, Yu Holea swore she would slap him.

"No!" Qiao Jun exclaimed, standing up and grabbing her hands.

"Lea, I didn’t agree to marry her. I’m fighting this, but it’s not easy. My body responds to the hypnotism even when my mind doesn’t.

That’s why I wanted to explain everything to you. I wanted you to know that this engagement—it means everything to me. I would never willingly break it off."

Yu Holea stared straight into Qiao Jun’s eyes as if she were trying to gauge whether he was telling the truth or not.

Once she was confirmed, her eyes softened and she hugged him,

"Then what do we do now? We can’t let Aunt Mila keep controlling you like this. There has to be a way to break her hold on you, once and for all."

"I know, and I am trying to find a way to break her hold but...the only way to do is reversing the blood ritual." Qiao Jun muttered.

Yu Holea remained silent.

From Qiao Jun’s words it may seem that it was an easy option, but who would like the feeling of getting 1000ml of blood every time?

A normal human could only donate 400 to 450 ml of blood, a superhuman on the other hand should have no problem in donating 600 ml of blood.

Once 700 ml of blood is sucked out, the superhuman feels dizzy.

At 1000 ml of blood loss, even a superhuman’s strength would be significantly diminished.

The process would leave Qiao Jun dangerously weak, and vulnerable to any external threats, especially to Aunt Mila’s further manipulation. Yu Holea’s heart ached at the thought.

"Brother Jun," Yu Holea murmured softly, "you can’t go through that... It’s too dangerous."

Qiao Jun sighed, pulling back slightly to look into her eyes, his gaze filled with determination.

"I know," he admitted.

"But it’s the only way to sever the connection. The blood ritual bound me to Aunt Mila in a way that can’t be undone with normal methods. If I don’t reverse it, I’ll never be free from her control."

Yu Holea shook her head, unwilling to accept such a painful solution.

"There must be another way! Something less—"

"There isn’t," Qiao Jun interrupted gently, his expression pained.

"I’ve researched every option, consulted every expert I could. The ritual that Aunt Mila used is ancient, and the only way to break it is to reverse it.

That means draining the blood she used in the original ritual... and it has to be done in multiple sessions, which is why it’s so dangerous."

Yu Holea’s heart clenched.

The thought of Qiao Jun undergoing such a dangerous procedure terrified her, but at the same time, she understood why he was willing to take the risk.

He wanted his freedom back, and he wanted to protect her.

Yu Holea thought for a long time and finally, an idea appeared in her mind,

"Wait...as long as we can find a hypnotist stronger than Aunt Mila, the process can be undone."

Qiao Jun shook his head,

"No. It’s not about being stronger. It’s about blood."

Yu Holea held Qiao Jun’s hand and explained,

"What I mean is, if we can find a hypnotist who can manipulate the blood connection rather than overpower it, they could potentially undo the ritual without draining you."

Qiao Jun’s brows furrowed,

"Do you really think that’s possible? The ritual is ancient magic, Lea. I’m not sure if any modern hypnotist would even understand how it works."

"Maybe not a normal hypnotist," Yu Holea replied. "But what if we find someone who specializes in this kind of magic? A hypnotist who understands rituals, blood connections, and ancient techniques?"

Qiao Jun thought for a while and felt Yu Holea’s words make sense,

"Alright. But we need to find the hypnotist."

"Hm." Yu Holea nodded. Her mind started to filter out the possible superhumans who could help her.

As a special force officer, Yu Holea had many connections inside the industry.

However, what Yu Holea didn’t know was...an unexpected person was going to help her.

Qiao Jun stared at Yu Holea’s beautiful face which had a concerned expression, his heart was filled with warmth.

Slowly he stood up, wrapped his hand around Yu Holea’s shoulder, and patted her back,

"Thank you, Lea, for not leaving me."

Yu Holea snapped out of her daze, the familiar warmth of Qiao Jun’s body and the faint fragrance emitted by his body, made her realize that she wasn’t dreaming.

Qiao Jun was hugging her with gentleness and had recovered his memory...

The painful time has passed.

Now she doesn’t need to be hurt.

Yu Holea knew she shouldn’t cry, but for some reason, tears started to stream down her face.

She felt a lump in her throat, her breathing fastened a little, and her emotions became too overwhelming to hold back.

She buried her face into Qiao Jun’s waist, letting the warmth of his embrace soothe the storm raging inside her.

"It was so difficult...I even started to doubt whether I was doing everything right. When I accused you of knowing about Vivian’s feelings, I was insecure.

I thought...what if...you lost your feeling for me with your memory? I didn’t even know why you liked me in the first place.

If I knew, I would have used it. But I knew nothing. All I hoped was for you to recover your memories quickly.

It was hell for me! I wanted to cry, but I knew you wouldn’t be there for me, even if I cried, so I held on.

Do you know how afraid I was when you didn’t reply to any of my messages? I felt as if I had completely lost you.

Each day was like a battle. Each day I hoped for you to recover your memory so that the torment of not being able to see you can be over.

I refrained from meeting you because I was afraid that you would find me too clingy. I refrained from calling you because I didn’t want to burden you with my feelings when you were already dealing with so much.

But it was killing me, Jun. Every day felt like an eternity, waiting and hoping that you’d remember... that you’d come back to me."

Qiao Jun felt her trembling in his arms, and guilt stabbed at his heart.

He hadn’t realized just how much pain Yu Holea had been carrying, all on her own.

"I’m so sorry, Lea," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

"I never wanted you to go through that. But you are wrong about one thing. My feelings for you can’t be changed.

Even when I lost my memory, I didn’t lose my feelings for you. I can never. Who can’t fall in love with you?

Just one look of you is enough to make anyone fall in love with you."

Yu Holea sobbed and asked with a hint of grievance in her tone,

"So you just like my appearance?"

Qiao Jun chuckled. Appearance?

No. It was her aura that was attractive. Those eyes reflect the raw innocence her soul possessed.

Her beauty lies in her innocence and kindness, as well as how smart she is.

However to uplift the mood, Qiao Jun couldn’t help but joke,

"Well, your appearance is the first thing I noticed. What it is called...Ah! Right! Love at first sight."
