Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 581: Recording

Chapter 581: Chapter 581: Recording

"You really think two weeks will make any difference?" Vivian taunted.

"You’re just delaying the inevitable, Holea."

Ignoring her, Yu Holea kept her gaze locked on Qiao Jun, her voice steady though her heart was trembling.

"I believe in us, Jun," she said softly. "I believe that something’s not right here, and I want to give you the time to figure out what it is."

Vivian rolled her eyes and leaned closer, her voice low and mocking.

"He doesn’t need time. He’s already made up his mind. Just stop embarrassing yourself."

Yu Holea shot her a sharp look, her anger barely contained.

"This isn’t about you, Vivian," she said coldly. "It never was. Stay out of it."

Vivian smirked but said nothing more, sensing that Yu Holea’s resolve was stronger than she’d anticipated.

Saying so Yu Holea turned and left.

..........

Back to the present

Sheng Yin patted Yu Holea’s back and said softly,

"Alright, don’t cry. He hasn’t answered you yet, right?"

Yu Holea’s eyes turned even more red,

"That is the problem, he did, and he said with certainty, that he wants to break things off. Even Uncle apologized, confirming that the engagement is broken off."

Sheng Yin gritted her teeth and wished she could beat Qiao Jun right away.

But compared to Yu Holea, she knew many more things. So she could only wait to meet Qiao Jun and confirm those things before scolding Qiao Jun.

But one thing was for sure, he would get a beating from her hand before he started to explain anything.

How come even after her intervention, the result was the same?

Sheng Yin remembered the night, Qiao Jun dropped Rong Xue at his home.

................

Sheng Yin knocked on the window of the car and Qiao Jun was surprised,

"You...what are you doing here?"

Sheng Yin only asked him to open the backseat’s door and once he did, she sat inside.

She wasn’t surprised that even after Qiao Jun forgot his memories, he knew her. How could he not, when after waking up and meeting Yu Holea, the first thing Qiao Jun did was to get all the information regarding Yu Holea?

"What do you want? And how do you know I was here?" Qiao Jun asked.

Sheng Yin chuckled,

"I want to stop you from making the biggest regret of your life and I know about your location because I am a divination master."

Qiao Jun rolled his eyes,

"What the hell are you saying?"

"You are in a hurry, right?" Sheng Yin asked, instead of answering his question.

Qiao Jun gave a bored look to Sheng Yin,

"If you don’t want to say anything serious, please leave."

Once he finished he looked at his phone subconsciously.

Sheng Yin chuckled,

"I bet you want to hear the recording on your phone, right?"

The statement surprised Qiao Jun and he even started to suspect whether Sheng Yin could read his mind.

"Don’t give me that look." Sheng Yin stopped chuckling, "the truth is you won’t be able to find the recording."

Qiao Jun clenched the steering wheels and frowned,

"What nonsense are you spouting?"

"Am I?" Sheng Yin raised an eyebrow, "Then I dare you to unlock your phone and check whether the recording is there or not."

Qiao Jun’s heart skipped a beat and he unlocked his phone. His instincts was telling him that something wrong was about to happen.

Qiao Jun’s fingers moved swiftly across his phone screen, his heart pounding louder with each passing second.

His mind buzzed with unease as Sheng Yin’s words echoed ominously in his head:

"You won’t find the recording."

He opened the voice recordings app, fully expecting to prove her wrong.

But when he scrolled down, his breath caught in his throat.

The recording was gone.

"What the...?" Qiao Jun’s voice trailed off as he checked again, scrolling through his files in disbelief.

There was nothing.

No trace of the conversation he had secretly recorded earlier that day—no evidence of the tense discussion he had hoped to revisit to clear his doubts.

He glanced at Sheng Yin, who was sitting calmly in the back seat, her gaze steady and almost too knowing.

A cold chill ran down his spine as he met her eyes.

"How did you know about this? How could you know the recording would be gone?" he demanded.

Sheng Yin sighed and leaned back against the seat, folding her arms.

"I told you, Qiao Jun. It’s not about knowing. It’s about understanding what’s happening around you."

"What do you mean by that?" Qiao Jun’s frustration was rising, his voice edged with irritation.

He hated being left in the dark, and right now, it felt like Sheng Yin was holding all the answers.

Answers he needed.

Sheng Yin gave him a sad smile.

"Look, I’m not a divination master. I don’t have supernatural powers or anything like that. But I know things, and right now, you’re in danger of making the biggest mistake of your life."

Qiao Jun scoffed, shaking his head.

"Mistake? What are you talking about? You’re not making any sense."

He didn’t like where this was going, and a part of him wanted to shut her out.

But something about her words kept him from walking away. Something told him to listen.

Sheng Yin leaned forward, her eyes locking onto his.

"You’re giving up Yu Holea for Rong Xue," she said, her voice calm but firm.

"And if you go through with this, you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life."

The mention of Rong Xue immediately set Qiao Jun on edge.

His best friend, the one person who had stood by him through thick and thin—how could Sheng Yin accuse him of anything?

He frowned, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly.

"Rong Xue? You have no idea what you’re talking about. He’s my friend. He’s always been there for me."

Sheng Yin’s expression softened,

"I’m not saying Rong Xue isn’t your friend. But right now, he’s manipulating you. You don’t see it, but he’s using you, Qiao Jun."

"That’s ridiculous!" Qiao Jun’s voice rose defensively.

"Rong Xue would never do that. He cares about me—"

"He cares about herself," Sheng Yin interrupted sharply.

"He’s been planting doubts in your mind ever since you lost your memory, hasn’t he? He’s been there, quietly pushing you toward breaking things off with Yu Holea. Am I wrong?"

Qiao Jun froze.

He wanted to deny it, to refute everything Sheng Yin was saying, but the words got stuck in his throat.

Because deep down, he knew there was some truth in what she was saying.

Since his accident and subsequent memory loss, Rong Xue had indeed been closer to him than ever, subtly encouraging him to focus on his own feelings, telling him that his hesitation about the engagement was normal.

"Look you might not believe this but Rong Xue is not as innocent as he seems to you. He loves Yu Holea and he is using your memory loss to his advantage." Sheng Yin warned.

In fact, she didn’t know much about what had happened in her previous life.

She only knew that the engagement between Yu Holea and Qiao Jun had broken off for a period of time.

Yu Holea had cried a lot during that time.

When they got back together, Yu Holea had once asked Qiao Jun as to why he had become so dumb, but he didn’t answer and changed the topic.

He told Yu Holea, how he was under the hypnosis of his Aunt Mila and recorded a recording so that he could remember that she had hypnotized him but later he couldn’t find the recording and made the biggest mistake of his life.

As for who deleted the recording and why Aunt Mila’s hypnosis works so well on Qiao Jun...Sheng Yin never got the answer of that question.

Though she always felt that the matter was fishy, she was so busy with her life’s matters that she didn’t get to the bottom of the matter.

If she knew that she would go back in time, she would have paid more attention to the matter.

"Rong Xue isn’t your enemy, Qiao Jun," Sheng Yin said softly, her tone almost pitying.

"But he’s not innocent in this, either. He wants something from you—something he’s afraid of losing if you stay with Yu Holea."

Qiao Jun shook his head, his chest tightening.

"You don’t know what you’re talking about. You don’t know what I’ve been through."

Sheng Yin nodded slowly. "You’re right. I don’t know everything about what you’ve been through. But I do know that you’re not thinking clearly right now. And I know why."

Qiao Jun looked at her warily, unsure if he wanted to hear what she had to say next.

"It’s your Aunt Mila," Sheng Yin said, her voice steady. "She’s been hypnotizing you."

"How...how do you know that?" Qiao Jun asked.

"Does it matter? The only thing that matters is...you have to make the correct decision. Please rethink about your decision." Sheng Yin said softly.

Please don’t let Yu Holea suffer anymore.
