Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 582: The Game

Chapter 582: Chapter 582: The Game

Sheng Yin hoped Qiao Jun would understand her words and make a vice decision.

If she knew he would take such a decision she would have slapped his head hard and asked whether he had listened to any of her words or not.

Sheng Yin sighed in her heart and decided to confront Qiao Jun later.

Looking at Yu Holea’s red eyes, Sheng Yin patted her back and consoled,

"Please don’t cry."

Meanwhile, hidden in one of the corners of the room, a small, inconspicuous camera blinked red, recording everything.

Outside the villa, a sleek, black car sat parked discreetly, its tinted windows concealing the occupants inside.

Aunt Mila sat in the passenger seat, her sharp eyes fixed on the monitor displaying the live feed from the hidden camera.

Beside her, her daughter Vivian leaned back in her seat, an amused grin plastered across her face.

"Look at her," Vivian scoffed, pointing at the screen where Yu Holea’s tear-streaked face filled the frame.

"She thinks she can charm her way into Qiao Jun’s heart again? Pathetic. This time, she’s done for."

Aunt Mila chuckled, though her expression was more reserved.

"It’s amusing, really. She’s always been resilient, but not this time. Qiao Jun isn’t coming back to her, not after what’s been set in motion."

Vivian turned to her mother, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

"I heard a juicy rumor the other day. Apparently, Yu Holea’s been cozying up to a certain Director Gong.

If I post it online, it’ll blow up. She’ll be finished in the entertainment industry in no time. No one survives a scandal like that."

Aunt Mila’s expression darkened, and she shook her head.

"No. Don’t do it."

Vivian blinked, taken aback by her mother’s sudden sternness.

"What? Why not? This is the perfect chance to ruin her completely!"

Aunt Mila sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Vivian, you don’t understand the full picture. There’s more going on here than you realize."

Her daughter’s eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping into her voice.

"Are you... defending her? Since when do you care what happens to Yu Holea?"

Aunt Mila met her daughter’s gaze, her voice calm but firm.

"It’s not about caring for her. It’s about Qiao Jun."

"Qiao Jun?" Vivian repeated, clearly puzzled.

"What does he have to do with this? He broke off their engagement! Isn’t that what we wanted?"

Aunt Mila’s lips thinned as she leaned back in her seat, her gaze distant, as if recalling something that had happened behind the scenes.

"Yes, he broke off the engagement—but not for the reasons you think."

Vivian frowned, her confusion deepening. "What do you mean? He finally did it. Why aren’t you celebrating?"

Aunt Mila folded her arms, her tone cold and calculating. "Qiao Jun made a deal."

"A deal?" Vivian leaned forward, her interest piqued.

"Yes. He came to us before the breakup and made it very clear. He knew we were scheming against Yu Holea, and he asked us to stop," Aunt Mila explained, her voice measured.

"In exchange, he promised to break off the engagement with her."

Vivian’s eyes widened, disbelief written all over her face.

"He... what? He knew what we were doing?"

Aunt Mila nodded.

"Of course. He’s always been sharp, and you should have known better than to think we could get away with it unnoticed."

Vivian was silent for a moment, trying to process the information.

"So he broke up with her... to protect her?"

"In a sense, yes," Aunt Mila confirmed.

"He was willing to sacrifice his relationship with her if it meant we wouldn’t harm her any further. That was the deal. And I agreed."

Vivian’s face twisted in confusion and frustration.

"But why? Why would you agree to that? We had her on the ropes! One more push and she would have been finished!"

Aunt Mila sighed, her expression softening slightly as she turned to her daughter.

"Vivian, I’ve lived long enough to know when to push and when to pull back. Yu Holea has a lot of influence, and if we had gone too far, it would have backfired on us.

Qiao Jun made the deal because he wanted to protect her, and I agreed because it was the smartest move for us."

Vivian shook her head, still incredulous.

"So what now? We just let her get away with everything? She’s still in the entertainment industry, still trying to get close to Qiao Jun!"

Aunt Mila’s lips curled into a small, knowing smile.

"Let her be. Yu Holea is more resilient than you give her credit for, but she’s also human. She’ll make mistakes.

The industry is unforgiving. You don’t need to ruin her—she’ll ruin herself eventually. All we need to do is wait."

Vivian slumped back in her seat, her frustration simmering just below the surface.

She had been so close to bringing Yu Holea down, and now her mother was telling her to do nothing.

It didn’t sit well with her, but Aunt Mila’s calm, collected demeanor gave her pause.

There was a reason her mother had survived so long in the cutthroat world of socialites and schemers—she knew when to strike and when to hold back.

"Fine," Vivian muttered, crossing her arms.

"But if she slips up, I’m not going to just sit by and do nothing."

Aunt Mila chuckled softly, her eyes gleaming with amusement.

"I wouldn’t expect anything less from you, dear. But for now, we wait."

Inside the villa, Yu Holea had finally composed herself, her eyes red but no longer brimming with tears.

She forced a smile and turned to Sheng Yin,

"I need some time alone."

Sheng Yin, sensing that Yu Holea needed some space, nodded understandingly.

"Alright. But if you need anything, you know where to find me."

With a reassuring smile, she gently guided Yu Holea to her bedroom, making sure she was comfortable before quietly slipping out of the room.

The moment the door clicked shut, the warmth and vulnerability that Yu Holea had displayed earlier evaporated like mist in the morning sun.

Her tear-filled eyes, once filled with sadness and despair, were now sharp, calculating.

The mask of grief she had worn flawlessly was gone, replaced by a steely, determined expression.

She walked over to her bed, her steps deliberate, and reached for her phone on the bedside table.

The faint glow from the screen illuminated her face as she tapped a few times.

A soft, satisfied chuckle escaped her lips as the live footage from the hidden camera in the living room came into view.

On the screen, Aunt Mila and Vivian were still sitting in their parked car outside, unaware that their every word and action had been recorded.

Yu Holea watched them in silence for a few moments, observing their smug, self-satisfied expressions as they reveled in their perceived victory over her.

"They really think they have the upper hand," Yu Holea muttered under her breath, her voice dripping with disdain.

She leaned back against her bed, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the side of her phone as she studied the two women on the screen.

Vivian, always the impulsive one, had been so eager to destroy her, to spread rumors about her relationship with Director Gong.

As if a fabricated scandal would be enough to bring her down.

"They think they’ve won, but they’re the real fools," Yu Holea whispered, her voice laced with indifference.

"I’ll teach them what happens when they try to destroy my life."

Yu Holea’s smile widened as she locked her phone and placed it back on the bedside table.

She stood up, stretching her arms, her mind already calculating her next move. Vivian and Aunt Mila had no idea what was coming.

They had poked the hornet’s nest, and soon enough, they would feel the sting.

"Let the game begin," she whispered, her voice low

Yu Holea turned to the window, looking out at the quiet night, her reflection staring back at her.

She had played the role of the victim perfectly, but now it was time for the tables to turn.

And when they did, she would make sure no one doubted her strength or her resolve again.

A faint, almost imperceptible sound filled the air behind her, like a whisper carried on the wind.

Without turning around, a knowing smile curved on her lips.

In a swift, seamless motion, a black figure appeared behind her, materializing from the shadows as if they had always been there, waiting for the perfect moment.

A strong arm wrapped around Yu Holea’s waist, pulling her gently into an embrace.

The figure leaned down, their breath warm against her ear as they let out a low chuckle.

"You’ve done an amazing job," the voice murmured, filled with admiration and amusement.

Yu Holea’s smile widened, her body relaxing into the familiar hold.

She let out a soft chuckle of her own and leaned further into the figure’s arms, finding comfort in their closeness.

"Of course I did. Did you expect anything less from me?" she teased.
