Chapter 577: Revenge
Chapter 577: Chapter 577: Revenge
"Then can you help me, please?"
Su Min chuckled,
"I can, but...I want something in return."
Yu Mei gritted her teeth in hatred. How can she not understand what Su Min meant? But right now, it was the safest method.
Hence she continued with the innocent facade and said,
"I will do whatever you want me to do."
"Is that so?" Su Min chuckled. Then he turned to look at the door and said in a voice filled with gloating,
"Then I want a blow job. Do you agree?"
’Blow job? That was easy.’ Yu Mei thought. If she could get away with just a blow job then it will be alright.
"Alright." Yu Mei showed a slight smile.
Before Su Min could reply, an angry voice sounded,
"Yu Mei!"
Yu Mei’s eyes widened as she turned to look at the door.
At the door, a man in a white suit, with black hair and black eyes was staring at Yu Mei with anger in his eyes.
Yu Mei’s face turned pale and she instantly explained to the man,
"Huan’er it’s not like how it looks, please, let me explain it to you!"
Leng Huan strolled and lifted Yu Mei in one scoop. With a dark face, he glared at Su Min and said,
"I will deal with you later."
"Ah? Truly? Then I think you will have to take care of certain things like that..." Su Min wasn’t scared at all and pointed at the camera in a nonchalant manner.
His nonchalant manner made Leng Huan angry, but he suppressed his anger for the time being and walked out of the room with Yu Mei in his hand.
Yu Mei’s pulse raced as she clutched at Leng Huan’s suit jacket, her eyes pleading, desperate for him to understand.
"Huan’er, please," she whispered, her voice cracking from the weight of everything that had just unfolded.
"It’s not what it looks like. You have to believe me."
Leng Huan’s dark eyes flickered.
His jaw clenched, and though his voice was low, there was an unmistakable edge of menace in it.
"Not what it looks like?" he growled, his words seething with barely contained rage.
"I walk in and find you agreeing to give a blow job to that piece of trash, and you want me to believe it’s all a misunderstanding?"
Yu Mei’s heart sank further.
The cold, cutting tone in his voice shattered any illusion of safety she had hoped for.
She had seen him angry before, but this... this was something entirely different. His fury felt like a storm ready to break, and she was the one caught in its path.
"I had no choice," she tried to explain, her voice shaking as she clung to him.
"They drugged me, Huan’er. It was a setup. Su Min and Director Hao—they planned everything! Yu Holea hired them. You have to believe me!"
Leng Huan stopped in his tracks for a moment, his expression unreadable.
He glanced down at her, his dark eyes boring into hers, searching for any sign of deception.
His brows furrowed, and though his grip didn’t loosen, there was a flicker of doubt in his gaze.
"Yu Holea..." he murmured, almost to himself, before his eyes hardened again.
"You think dragging her into this will make me forget what I just saw? What I heard? You were ready to sell yourself for a way out. You agreed to his demand!"
Tears pricked at Yu Mei’s eyes as she shook her head vehemently.
"No! It wasn’t like that. I had to say it—there was no other way! I didn’t mean any of it, Huan’er, I swear!"
"Shut up!" Leng Huan scolded.
In the past three months, Yu Mei helped him win a lot of projects, which softened his heart to quite an extent.
Previously he only saw her as someone who brought back his brother, but in the past three months with her wits and clever comeback, she won his heart.
He fell for her.
Slowly he became tolerant of her too. He even started to think of marrying her.
But what did he hear today?
Her being so casual about a blow job...truly broke his heart.
Yu Mei tugged Leng Huan’s jacket and said with tears in her eyes,
"You can go through my phone, or even check the surveillance camera
Yu Mei tugged at Leng Huan’s jacket, her face streaked with tears, her voice raw with desperation.
"You can go through my phone, or even check the surveillance cameras. Huan’er, I would never do anything to betray you! You have to believe me."
Leng Huan’s face remained cold.
"And what exactly do you expect me to find?" he asked bitterly.
"Proof that you were being blackmailed? Or more evidence that you were willing to degrade yourself just to save your career?
Tell me, Yu Mei, how am I supposed to believe anything you say when I heard it with my own ears?"
Yu Mei’s heart sank.
She knew that no matter what she said, it would be almost impossible to erase the image of her agreeing to Su Min’s demands.
But she couldn’t give up now. She had to fight—for herself, for her future, for the love that she knew still lingered in Leng Huan’s heart.
"I wasn’t going to go through with it," she whispered, her voice breaking.
"I was trying to buy time. Su Min had me cornered, and I thought if I played along for just a moment, I could figure out a way to escape.
I swear, Huan’er, I would have found a way out before it went that far."
Leng Huan clenched his fists, turning his gaze away from her. His jaw was tight, and Yu Mei could see the battle raging within him.
He wanted to believe her.
"I... I don’t know if I can believe you," he muttered, his voice barely audible. "You were too quick to agree. Too casual."
Yu Mei felt a fresh wave of panic wash over her.
"Please, Huan’er, don’t leave me. I’ll do anything to prove to you that I’m telling the truth. Just... just give me a chance."
Leng Huan remained silent.
Yu Mei and Leng Huan were so immersed in their world that they failed to notice a shadow who heard their entire conversation.
Looking at their receding back, the shadow came out. Sheng Yin smiled when she saw Yu Mei’s panic and Leng Huan’s cold aura.
Haha!
Sheng Yin couldn’t stop herself from laughing.
"Yu Mei... let’s see whether you will still be able to scheme against others while facing a personal life problem..."
Remembering how in her previous life, Yu Mei schemed against Yu Holea and enjoyed her boyfriend’s care at the same time, Sheng Yin’s heart was filled with anger.
"Serves her right.Hmph!"
Did Yu Mei truly think she would get away every time she schemed?
Hehe! If she dared to harm Yu Holea from now on, see how she will deal with her later!
Sheng Yin turned around to leave but she crashed into a ’wall’
"Ouch." Sheng Yin rubbed her nose and scolded without any mercy,
"You b*stard can’t you see..."
Midway through her sentence she stopped.
Standing right in front of her was Yu Shuchang, who was looking at her with amusement in his eyes.
"My dear contracted girlfriend, you are truly an interesting person. Other than my mother, I think only you can call me ba*tard."
Sheng Yin’s eyes widened when she realized who she had bumped into, her face flushing with embarrassment.
Yu Shuchang stood tall in front of her, his arms crossed over his chest, a smirk playing on his lips.
His dark, piercing eyes gleamed with amusement, clearly entertained by her outburst.
"Yu Shuchang?" Sheng Yin stammered, instinctively taking a step back.
She tried to compose herself, straightening her posture and brushing off her clothes as if that could erase the awkwardness of the moment.
Yu Shuchang chuckled, his gaze never leaving her face.
"Oh? So you do know my name. And here I thought you were too busy plotting against poor Yu Mei to pay attention to who you run into."
Sheng Yin’s eyes narrowed.
"What? Do you feel sorry for her?"
Yu Shuchang smirked,
"Do I look like a dumb person?"
Sheng Yin rolled her eyes and muttered,
"Well, I feel so..."
Yu Shuchang’s smirk deepened as he took a step closer to Sheng Yin, his presence dominating the space between them.
His voice lowered to a teasing whisper,
"Oh? You feel what, Sheng Yin?"
Sheng Yin felt a surge of irritation. She crossed her arms and huffed, trying to regain control of the situation.
"Forget it. I don’t need to explain myself to you."
Yu Shuchang laughed softly, the sound almost mocking.
"You really are something. Always so defensive, even when you’re the one causing all the chaos.
I can’t decide whether to be impressed or annoyed by how good you are at stirring the pot."
Sheng Yin scowled, her frustration bubbling to the surface.
"What’s that supposed to mean?"
