Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 576: Su Min

Chapter 576: Chapter 576: Su Min

Yu Mei’s eyes widened as she felt her body becoming weak, her limbs growing stiff.

Panic welled up inside her, and she tried to move, to summon the dark energy she had always relied on to get her out of tough situations.

But nothing happened. Her powers, usually so reliable, seemed to have abandoned her completely.

What’s going on?

She had been fine just moments ago. She glanced around the restroom, searching for any signs of what could have caused this.

Then the door opened.

Director Hao walked in, his expression calm.

Yu Mei quickly composed herself, forcing her features into the sweet, innocent expression that had charmed so many people before.

She smiled weakly, pretending like nothing was wrong, though her body was betraying her.

"Director Hao..." Her voice was soft, almost a whisper.

"I—I think something’s wrong. I’m feeling weak. Can you help me stand?"

Director Hao didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he slowly approached her, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that made Yu Mei’s heart race.

She couldn’t move, couldn’t even push herself off the couch.

As he came closer, her unease grew.

There was something off about the way he looked at her, something predatory in his gaze.

"Please," she continued, trying to keep her voice steady, her aura of innocence clinging desperately to the situation.

"I just need a little help."

But Director Hao didn’t offer her his hand. He simply smiled a slow, deliberate smile that sent shivers down Yu Mei’s spine.

He stood directly in front of her, towering over her as she sat helplessly on the couch.

Without a word, he reached down, his fingers grazing the fabric of her sleeve.

Before she could react, he tore it slightly, exposing her arm.

Yu Mei’s heart pounded in her chest, fear clawing at her as she struggled to understand what was happening.

"What...what are you doing?" she stammered, her voice trembling.

Director Hao’s smile widened, but there was no warmth in it, only cold calculation.

He knelt down beside her, his hand brushing against her arm as if inspecting her like an object, not a person.

"You’ve been very clever, Miss Yu," he said softly, his voice dripping with false admiration.

"Climbing the ladder so quickly, using your charm to get what you want. But you see, whatever you do will come back right at you."

If Yu Mei couldn’t still understand that she was an idiot.

Getting drugged and the director suddenly appearing...

Wasn’t this the setup she had decided on for Yu Holea?

Was this Yu Holea’s revenge?

Everything was too perfectly orchestrated—the sudden weakness in her body, the strange behavior of Director Hao, and now, the terrifying possibility of public humiliation.

She had used similar tactics before, setting up her rivals in compromising situations to ruin their reputations. Now, it was her turn.

Swallowing her fear, Yu Mei forced her voice to remain calm, though panic had already taken root deep inside her.

"Director Hao..." she began softly, trying to appeal to whatever humanity might be left in him.

"Who hired you to do this? Was it Yu Holea?"

Director Hao chuckled darkly, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he straightened up, taking a step back from her.

The cold smile that played on his lips made Yu Mei’s skin crawl. There was no sympathy in his gaze—only ruthless calculation.

"Of course not," he said casually as if they were discussing business. "The mastermind behind this scheme told me to tell you, that not every time you can get away with the wrong deeds you have committed."

Yu Mei’s stomach churned with dread.

She tried to push herself up, but her arms felt like lead, her body completely unresponsive.

Desperation clawed at her, and she bit her lip to suppress the rising panic.

She had always believed she could outsmart anyone—manipulate any situation to her advantage—but now, she was the one being manipulated.

The helplessness gnawed at her, making her feel small and vulnerable.

"Why are you doing this?" she whispered, her voice trembling. "You are a reputable director! Once I recover I can accuse you back."

"You can?" Director Hao mocked, "But who would believe an actress who was caught in an indecent act?"

"Is it about money? I can give you more-" Yu Mei proposed.

But Director Hao cut her off with a laugh.

"It’s not about money, Miss Yu," he said, leaning in close again, his breath hot on her face. "It’s about Karma."

Before Yu Mei could respond, the door creaked open again.

Her head snapped toward it, her eyes widening in disbelief at the sight of the man who walked in.

He looked like a gigolo—his appearance was sleazy, with slicked-back hair, a smirk that oozed arrogance, and a certain air of sleaze that made her skin crawl.

He wore a tight-fitting shirt that emphasized his muscular frame, but there was nothing comforting about his presence.

The gigolo sauntered into the room with an air of confidence, as if he had been here before as if this was just another day at the office for him.

He glanced at Director Hao, who nodded toward the couch where Yu Mei was sitting, her body trembling with weakness.

"Sit beside her," Director Hao ordered coolly, his voice devoid of any emotion.

"Make her look comfortable. When the others walk in, they need to believe something is going on between the two of you."

The words hit Yu Mei like a slap in the face.

Her breath caught in her throat as she realized what was about to happen.

Her career, her reputation—everything she had worked for—was about to be shattered beyond repair.

If anyone in the banquet hall saw her in this state, sitting with a man like this, her life in the entertainment industry would be over.

There would be no coming back from a scandal like this.

The gigolo sat down next to her, much too close, his thigh brushing against hers as he leaned in, his arm casually draped over the back of the couch as if they were old lovers.

Yu Mei flinched at the contact, her skin crawling with disgust. Her mind screamed at her to move, to push him away, but her body was paralyzed, trapped in its weakened state.

"Let her lie on your chest," Director Hao instructed, his voice as cold as ever.

The gigolo complied immediately, guiding Yu Mei’s stiff body so that her head rested against his chest, her face inches from the fabric of his shirt.

His hand brushed against her hair, pretending to caress her in a way that would make anyone walking in believe they were in the middle of something intimate.

Yu Mei’s breathing quickened, panic threatening to overwhelm her.

Her mind was screaming in terror, her pulse pounding in her ears.

This couldn’t be happening. Not to her.

She had always been the one in control. How had it come to this?

She stared helplessly at the door, knowing that at any moment, people from the banquet hall could walk in.

She could already imagine the looks of shock, the whispers, the rumors that would spread like wildfire through the entertainment industry.

Her spotless image, the carefully crafted persona of the innocent, talented actress, would be shattered in an instant.

She would be labeled a fraud, a liar, a seductress. Everything she had built would crumble.

"No..." she whispered hoarsely, her voice barely audible. "Please... don’t do this..."

Director Hao looked down at her with a cold smile, completely unmoved by her plea.

He turned to leave, his hand already on the door handle.

"Please!" Yu Mei’s voice cracked as she begged, her desperation palpable now.

"Don’t leave me like this. I’ll do anything—just don’t ruin me!"

But Director Hao didn’t even glance back.

He opened the door and stepped out, leaving her alone with the gigolo, whose smirk grew wider as he adjusted his position, making their pose look even more compromising.

As Director Hao left, he spoke one last time, his voice echoing in the small room.

"Maybe next time, Miss Yu, you’ll think twice before using such cheap tricks on others. You should know by now... what goes around, comes around."

The door closed behind him with a soft click, leaving Yu Mei in the suffocating silence of the restroom.

For the first time in years, Yu Mei felt truly terrified. However, she didn’t want to give up and asked the gigolo,

"Hey! Can you stay away from me? Help me! I will pay you thrice the amount of what they are paying you!"

The gigolo looked at Yu Mei with a smile that wasn’t a smile and said,

"My darling have you forgotten me? Looks like I didn’t make a lasting impression on you. I am one of your classmates, my name is Su Min."

"You are my classmate?" Yu Mei asked with widened eyes. If he was truly her classmate, then wouldn’t she have a chance to turn everything around?

"Yes." Su Min nodded.

Yu Mei instantly put on a innocent look.
