Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 562: Meeting With Yu Mei
Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Meeting With Yu Mei
It took the subordinates some time to understand that Qiao Jun was talking about Vivian.
A small smile appeared on their face. It was confirmed. Even when Boss doesn’t have his memory he still loves Yu Holea a lot!
Yu Holea started her shooting.
The second female lead’s scenes weren’t more than the female lead’s, but each of them was impactful.
Though Yu Holea’s acting was good, some of the scenes had to be re-shooted. Sometimes having good acting isn’t enough.
Vivian on the other hand delivered a good performance. Her acting was good.
After the tiring shoot day, Yu Holea removed her makeup and walked out of the shooting location.
She saw Qiao Jun’s car parked outside the shooting location and a smile appeared on her face.
Just as she was a few feet away from the car, someone rushed past her and said in an excited voice,
"Brother Jun!"
Vivian knocked on the car window and felt smug in her heart.
The window of the car lowered and Qiao Jun’s face appeared in Vivian’s perpherical view.
"Brother Jun, are you here to cheer me up? Or is it that you wanted to give me a surprise since it was my first day of shoot?"
Some of the passersby unconsciously looked over and couldn’t help but mutter,
"Is that Vivian’s brother? He is so handsome!"
"Ah! From the model of the car, I am damn sure he belongs to a rich family."
"Yeah! If possible I want to be close to him! God, I wish he could look in my direction. What if he falls in love with me once he does?"
"That is what you think! As far as I know, he has been waiting for someone in his car for the past half an hour. If he is here to pick someone up, he is definitely in love with that person.
I thought if his partner was an average-looking person, I could have had a chance but the other person is Vivian, I am nothing compared to her."
Vivian felt even more smug when she heard those comments.
Yu Holea stopped walking when Vivian bypassed her and reached Qiao Jun first. She was thinking of whether to go near him or not, since she didn’t know whether he was truly waiting for her or not.
The next second Qiao Jun opened the door of the car and walked out.
Vivian shyly tugged a hair strand back and said,
"Brother Jun there is no need to open the door for me, I will..."
But Qiao Jun ignored her and walked up to Yu Holea.
The cold expression on his face melted and he said softly,
"Let’s go?"
His hand itched. He wanted to pull Yu Holea in his arms and hug her tightly. He wanted to tell her that he missed her...but he held himself back.
A smile appeared on Yu Holea’s face and she nodded her head.
"Brother Jun, are you going to take Miss Yu with you too?"
She emphasized the word ’too’ to show others that the person for whom Qiao Jun was actually waiting was her.
Qiao Jun turned toward her and smiled,
"Yes. I was thinking of taking you with us too. But what to do, I have heard that your father’s company is in trouble, I will not stop you from letting you take care of your father."
"Ah? What are you saying?" Vivian was confused. But her confusion didn’t last long because the next second she received a call from her mother and her face changed.
She looked at Qiao Jun with widened eyes and once the call was hung up, she jumped toward Qiao Jun,
"Brother Jun how can you do this with me-"
Yu Holea pulled Qiao Jun behind her and Vivian missed her target causing her to fall on the ground.
Gasps echoed around the small crowd of onlookers who had gathered, curious about the drama unfolding before them.
Vivian’s face flushed red, both from the shock of the fall and the embarrassment of being in such a position.
She glared up at Yu Holea, her eyes filled with disbelief.
"Miss Yu, how dare you!" Vivian spat, "You pushed me!"
Yu Holea remained calm, her expression neutral as she stood protectively in front of Qiao Jun. "I didn’t push you," she replied evenly.
"You lost your balance. Maybe you should be more careful next time."
She would never let anyone touch her fiance especially those who have bad intentions.
Vivian’s fists clenched at her sides, her eyes darting between Yu Holea and Qiao Jun.
"Brother Jun, are you not going to tell her anything?"
Qiao Jun nodded,
"Miss Yu, good work."
The crowd: "..." Wow! This scene is straight out of the novel!
Vivian: "..." How can you be so mean!
Yu Holea: "..." How did he change so much?
"Vivian," Qiao Jun said, his voice firm but calm,
"I suggest you go home and take care of your family. There are more important things for you to worry about right now."
Vivian’s face turned pale at his words, and she quickly scrambled to her feet.
"Brother Jun you have truly hurt me a lot this time, I will not talk with you again!"
She shot Yu Holea one last venomous look before turning on her heel and storming away, trying to salvage whatever was left of her pride.
As she disappeared into the distance, Qiao Jun exhaled softly, his gaze shifting to Yu Holea.
His gaze seemed to asking her for some credit.
Yu Holea chuckled and praised him,
"Good work."
"Ah...so the prince charming was actually waiting for Miss Yu?"
"My god! Both of them look so beautiful together."
"Ah! I could have beat Vivian for once but Miss Yu...that is a hard pass."
"Man...I didn’t know Vivian was a ...green tea!"
"Exactly!"
Hearing the passerby’s words Yu Holea chose to ignore them and walked toward the car.
Once she sat down, Qiao Jun sat in the driver’s seat and started the car.
Soon they reached a luxurious restaurant.
Yu Holea smiled slightly.
This was one of the restaurants that she and Qiao Jun had visited a lot when Qiao Jun still had his memory.
Just as they reached the entrance, a figure suddenly appeared from behind and held Yu Holea’s hand,
"Hello, Sister."
Yu Holea hurriedly withdrew her hand and looked at the beautiful woman with black hair and black eyes.
"What are you doing here?"
"Sister, why are you being so mean to me?" Yu Mei pouted.
With her glowing face and innocent aura, she could easily attract anyone’s attention.
Yu Holea calmly asked,
"Miss Mei, you are the impolite one. You keep on calling me sister when we are not even biologically related."
Yu Mei’s eyes flashed, but she still put on a smile and said,
"Sister, I know that I shouldn’t have become the beloved daughter of the Yu family. I know this was the reason why you are so angry with me."
Once Yu Mei finished her words, she tried to hold Yu Holea’s hand.
But surprisingly Yu Holea didn’t resist, instead, she turned on her phone camera and said,
"Do you think you are the only one who could use such a cheap trick?"
Yu Mei’s face stiffened for a moment.
"What...what cheap trick...are you talking about sister?" Yu Mei asked but her lips were slightly trembling.
Qiao Jun frowned and pushed away Yu Mei’s hand from Yu Holea’s.
"Don’t touch my fiance."
A small smile appeared on Yu Holea’s face when she heard Qiao Jun’s words but she suppressed her smile and said to Yu Mei,
"Do you think I can’t see the camera hiding in the bushes recording from an angle where it may seem that I was pushing you down a sweet innocent woman? Such a boring trick!"
Yu Mei’s face suddenly turned indifferent and cold.
She withdrew her hand and said in a slow tone,
"You have become smart."
Yu Holea chuckled,
"And yet you used your cheap tricks?"
Yu Mei looked at her nails and said in a calm tone,
"Yu Holea you may not know this but, sometimes these cheap tricks can completely destroy a person’s reputation."
Yu Holea narrowed her eyes. She didn’t know if it was her illusion, but it felt as if there was another meaning to Yu Mei’s words.
"You may be right but....what will you do when the truth comes to light?"
"Truth? That is the weakest thing. Yu Holea, you might know this but truth is always revealed when the person in question has died." Yu Mei’s eyes shone.
"Smart ones will leave when they know that the truth is about to be revealed and maybe they will be never punished for their deeds."
"I see," Yu Holea replied, keeping her voice steady.
"So that’s your plan? To cause chaos and vanish before anyone can pin you down?"
Yu Mei’s lips curled into a faint, chilling smile. "Sometimes, Sister, it’s not about disappearing. It’s about being untouchable. You see, people only see what they’re shown, and if you play your cards right, the truth never even gets close to the surface."
