Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 540: Doubts And Clashes

Chapter 540: Chapter 540: Doubts And Clashes

Director Ou waved his hand and said,

"I want to introduce you all to the second lead of the movie. Miss Yu."

Yu Holea looked at the room which was covered with black energy and couldn’t help but lick the hard palate of her mouth.

Looks like the shooting will be very interesting for her.

A few polite nods and forced smiles greeted his introduction, but it was clear some of them were struggling to hide their reservations.

One of the actors, Ni Wulin, known for her sharp tongue, couldn’t resist a snide remark.

"So she is the one who snagged the role of the second lead? I thought the second female lead of the movie would be someone with good confidence, not someone who would hide their face."

Ni Wulin had blue hair, fair skin, and greyish eyes. She looked very beautiful however her aggressive personality made everyone feel aversion from her.

Yu Holea calmly took out her mask and said,

"You are right. I will introduce myself. Hi everyone. I am Yu Holea."

Her words made the atmosphere in the room turn cold.

All the people were busy looking at the beautiful face and smooth silver hair. With an aura of that of a goddess, almost no one in the room could resist her.

Ni Wulin’s mouth was wide open as she saw the beautiful face of Yu Holea. It took her 3 minutes to snap out of the daze and she said hurriedly,

"Wait! I don’t think I have seen you during the time of the audition...so how did you get the role of the second female lead?"

Compared to the audition of other directors, Director Ou preferred transparency, and he would share the audition clips openly for the crew to see, making sure that every casting decision was fair and justified.

So, Ni Wulin’s question wasn’t just a dig at Yu Holea—it was also a subtle jab at Director Ou’s credibility.

Director Ou cleared his throat, sensing the unease growing in the room. He had anticipated this reaction but had hoped Yu Holea’s talent would speak for itself.

Before he could respond, Yu Holea stepped forward, her expression calm,

"I didn’t audition traditionally," Yu Holea admitted, her voice steady. "I was offered the role directly by Director Ou after a private screen test.

Ni Wulin’s eyes narrowed, her skepticism only growing.

"Private screen test? Sounds like favoritism to me. We all had to work hard and prove ourselves in front of everyone. Why should you be any different?"

"Ni Wulin! If you keep on talking nonsense about Miss Yu, then it would be better if you leave the crew!" Director Ou’s face turned red from anger.

If Yu Holea wasn’t fit for the role, even if she had begged him, he wouldn’t have given her that role.

Yu Holea narrowed her eyes and suddenly said,

"Let’s throw accusations at each other when one of us fails, alright?"

Ni Wulin had calmed down the moment when Director Ou had threatened to kick her out of the production house.

Yu Holea’s words only calmed her down further.

Yeah.

Until and unless she saw how talented this new actress was, she couldn’t accuse her!

However, before she could agree, another sweet voice said,

"Lin’er why are you acting so dramatically? Apologize to Miss Yu right away! If you talk to Miss Yu like that what will Miss Yu think about our company?"

Yu Holea looked at the person who said those lines and saw a short black hair girl. The girl had beautiful blue eyes and looked very innocent.

Yu Holea’s eyes brightened and she thought in her heart,

’Oh my god! First green tea spotted!’

"Mo Jiang, can you shut up? The smell of your green tea can reach to me." Ni Wulin frowned and covered her nose as if she could truly smell a disgusting smell.

Mo Jiang shook her head and said,

"How childish!"

Yu Holea enjoyed their argument.

Today was a truly good day. Two fights in one day...

Yu Holea quietly took out some melon seeds and started to chew on them and see how the fight would end.

Director Ou’s one glare was enough to make both of them shut up.

"Let’s start the script reading."

Yu Holea sat attentively.

"Hm...Director Ou what about the male lead and female lead?" One of the side characters asked in a timid voice.

Director Ou rubbed his temples, clearly already exhausted from managing the earlier drama. He sighed and addressed the room with a forced smile.

"Our male lead, and female lead, are running late due to another commitment. They should join us shortly. In the meantime, let’s make the most of this session."

As he spoke, Yu Holea noticed a few disappointed murmurs ripple through the group. It was clear that many were eager to see the leads.

She wondered how they would react once they saw Vivian and Zhan Yibao’s fight.

Director Ou clapped his hands to gather everyone’s attention.

"Alright, let’s start from Scene One, Act One. Ni Wulin, you’ll be reading opposite Yu Holea for now."

In the movie, Ni Wulin is Yu Holea’s assistant who later betrays Yu Holea and tells the male lead the truth, which will completely convince that Yu Holea was the one who was committing the murders.

Ni Wulin looked at her dialogues.

The scene which they were going to play out was the turning point of the movie. It was when Ni Wulin’s character realized that Yu Holea’s character whom she thinks was a goddess wasn’t pure.

The scene began.

Ni Wulin bit her lips and asked,

"Dr. Han, you can see that Miss Cai is not the culprit so why are you forcing her to confess?"

Yu Holea calmly said,

"Oh? And how do you know that she is innocent?"

Ni Wulin blinked,

"Because even when you hypnotized she couldn’t tell details what had actually happened. She is merely repeating the words that she is the killer.

Maybe...maybe she was hypnotized by someone else to repeat these words? Or maybe she feels guilty for their death though she is not and hence she..."

"Miss Bai." Yu Holea called out. Even though her voice was still calm, there was a hint of irritation and anger hidden in her tone.

"Yes, Dr. Han?" Miss Bai replied cautiously, her voice quivering as if she was treading on dangerous ground.

Yu Holea’s gaze pierced through Ni Wulin, and she leaned forward slightly, her presence dominating the room even without any grand gestures.

She spoke with the kind of icy authority that made it clear who was in control.

"Your loyalty is touching, but misguided. Do you think innocence is defined by a lack of confession? How quaint.

Miss Cai’s mind may be clouded, but the evidence isn’t. Her actions, her behaviors—they all point to one conclusion."

"I don’t care what she remembers or doesn’t remember. This isn’t about her truth; it’s about mine. And in my truth, Miss Cai is guilty."

Miss Bai’s eyes widened, and Ni Wulin found herself momentarily overwhelmed by Yu Holea’s intensity.

For a split second, she was no longer just acting; she was genuinely intimidated.

Yu Holea’s eyes were filled with a hint of authority as well as madness. It was as if she was trying her best to prove something.

Suddenly Yu Holea snapped and those emotions disappeared.

"But Dr. Han... if you do this, if you make her confess to a crime she didn’t commit, how are you any different from the real murderer? You’re supposed to be a protector of justice, not its manipulator."

"Whoever said I was here for justice, Miss Bai? Sometimes the truth is nothing more than a convenience for those who hold power. And right now, that’s me."

"If there is nothing else. Leave." Yu Holea’s said calmly. Her voice held so much authority as if... as if she whatever she was saying was true.

Ni Shulin gulped and stood up to leave, however, Director Ou suddenly said,

"Cut! Excellent scene! That’s exactly the energy we need. You two brought the characters to life perfectly."

The room, which had been filled with a tense silence, erupted into applause.

Even those who had been skeptical of Yu Holea couldn’t deny the powerful performance they had just witnessed.

For a moment they felt as if...Yu Holea was indeed a confident yet psychopath hypnotist who was only concerned with results rather than the procedure.

"You did well." Yu Holea praised.

She was genuinely impressed by Ni Wulin’s acting.

Now she understood why Ni Wulin was so upset when she heard that a random person had taken away the second female lead.

If she was in Ni Wulin’s place maybe she would have done something similar.

"Thanks," Ni Wulin replied, slightly embarrassed by how caught up she had been in the moment.

"You were... something else."

Her face slowly turned red and she asked,

"Uh...can you tell me which theatre school you have joined."
