Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 535: Li Jinhai

Chapter 535: Chapter 535: Li Jinhai

As Yu Holea approached her villa, she noticed a man standing near the entrance, his posture casual but his presence was strong.

He was tall and slender, dressed impeccably in a tailored gray suit that emphasized his sharp features.

His hair was dark, slicked back neatly, and his eyes—intelligent and calculating—were a striking shade of brown.

The man noticed Yu Holea’s approach and straightened up, his expression warm and inviting. He extended a hand as she reached the gate.

"Miss Yu Holea," he greeted, his voice smooth and refined. "I’ve been looking forward to meeting you. My name is Li Jinhai, owner of MY Entertainment Company."

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow, her gaze narrowing slightly.

MY Entertainment company?

Yu Holea didn’t extend her hand and instead said,

"How do you know my address?"

She never interviewed for MY entertainment company, so logically speaking they shouldn’t have her number.

Yet they took the initiative and asked her to make a contract with them.

If Sheng Yin had not told her that the owner of MY entertainment company, Li Jinhai, was Yu Mei’s admirer, maybe she would have made a contract.

Li Jinhai didn’t know that his lie of being the owner of MY entertainment company, made Yu Holea have a negative impression of him.

He thought, like other girls Yu Holea would feel attracted to him.

He was handsome, had good height and his figure was good too. For now, he wasn’t rich, but he felt that soon he wouldn’t have to worry about it.

Though the MY entertainment company, belonged to his fiance, he thought once he worked hard and killed his fiance then he would have everything.

Fame, money, good looks, and a good body.

Then maybe...maybe Yu Mei would agree to date him.

He recalled how just the day before yesterday, Yu Mei contacted him and told him about his evil relative...Yu Holea.

She told him,

"Jinhai I am very sad today. Do you know when I was a child, I had a countryside relative who loved to snatch my things? She also liked to ruin my reputation.

My mom and my brothers always support her and let her do whatever she wants to. Wu...wu... What should I do? Now she is planning to enter the entertainment industry.

If she makes a name for herself, she will definitely insult me and ruin my reputation. I can’t do anything against her, since I can’t do anything against her since she’s always been good at playing the victim.

Jinhai, I’m scared she’ll take everything from me again. Please, you have to help me. You’re the only one I can trust."

Yu Mei’s voice was laced with a false sense of vulnerability, her crocodile tears flowing effortlessly as she played the damsel in distress.

Li Jinhai had been captivated; he had always seen Yu Mei as delicate, someone who needed protection, and this story only fueled his desire to be her knight in shining armor.

Li Jinhai felt a surge of anger toward Yu Holea at that moment.

The idea of Yu Mei being hurt or overshadowed by her cousin was unbearable. That’s why he was here now.

He wanted to make Yu Holea join his company. Once she joined his fiance’s company he would deliberately show some extra attention to her, so that his fiance who was the real owner of My company would feel threatened and jealous.

If things played out the way he planned, then his fiance would ban Yu Holea, thus helping Yu Mei eliminate her so-called rival without having to lift a finger.

It was a cunning, indirect strategy that would keep his own hands clean while satisfying Yu Mei’s desire to see Yu Holea fail.

Li Jinhai smirked inwardly, pleased with his own cleverness. He did not doubt that his plan would work; after all, he had always been able to manipulate people to his advantage.

But as he stood there, watching Yu Holea with his rehearsed charm, he could sense that something was off.

She wasn’t reacting as he expected—not even a hint of the intimidation or interest he was used to seeing in women’s eyes when they faced him.

Instead, he felt a bit charmed by her presence.

Yu Holea’s silver hair like the color of the moon, cascaded down her back, glimmering softly in the fading sunlight.

Her pale skin was as fair as milk. Her big innocent eyes, clearly shaped eyebrows, and plump lips made Li Jinhai’s heart skip a beat.

He couldn’t help but have some second thoughts.

"Hey? I am asking you something." Yu Holea frowned when she saw the sudden shift in Li Jinhai’s demeanor.

Li Jinhai coughed and answered,

"Ah, my apologies, Miss Yu. I didn’t mean to ignore your question. As I mentioned, I have my ways, and finding an address isn’t exactly difficult when you have the right connections."

"No, the question is, how do you know that I wanted to become an actor? And why did you choose me?" Yu Holea asked.

Li Jinhai had already thought of a story and said,

"I have seen you auditioning for an entertainment company and got your phone number and address from there."

He praised himself for being smart.

"Ah? Is that so? Then you shouldn’t be here. After all, the address that I had given to those companies belonged to my other private apartment."

Li Jinhai hadn’t expected Yu Holea to call him out so directly, nor had he anticipated that she would be so sharp.

His mind scrambled to find a quick response that wouldn’t unravel his carefully crafted lie.

"Miss Yu," he began, forcing a chuckle, "there must have been some mix-up. Perhaps someone on our team made a mistake, but my intentions are sincere. I saw your potential and wanted to personally extend this opportunity to you."

"Yeah. Whatever. I am not interested." Yu Holea said with a bored expression and waited for Li Jinhai to move away.

However Li Jinhai stood where he was and said,

"Uh...Miss Yu, please listen to me..."

By now Yu Holea was too irritated to listen, hence she took out a yellow talisman and flicked it in the air.

"What are..." you doing? Before Li Jinhai could finish his words, the yellow talismans floated into the air above his head.

A golden light slowly emitted from the talismans and started to envelop Li Jinhai.

"Now you will do as I say. Never try to approach me." Yu Holea said.

Li Jinhai nodded with a dumb look on his face, his eyes were dazed as if he had lost his intelligence.

He started to walk towards his car and drove away.

This was one of the talismans that Yu Holea had learned from the talisman pagoda.

By now she had completed 8 levels of it and can now make talismans in various forms.

From the 3rd level, she learned how to make Intermediate Talismans. From 4th she learned how to make some advanced rank talismans, while the 5th level taught her many varieties of advanced rank talismans.

From the 6th level, she started to learn how to make talismans on ebony wood and other materials.

From the 7th level, she learned about charms and their integration with talismans.

But Yu Holea never used them. The reason was pretty simple.

They were too basic and for some reason, the talisman pagoda didn’t teach her much.

From the 8th level, she learned how to make talismans in the air. It was very difficult for her and much more energy-consuming, but in a situation where she didn’t want to alert the enemy of her skills, it was very useful.

However, it was one of the most difficult levels for her since she required an entire year to learn it.

She even started to suspect whether her intelligence had dropped.

But when Lira knew about the existence of the talisman pagoda and how much Yu Holea had learned in just 3 years, she fainted.

"You are a monster!" Lira said before fainting.

That was the first time Lira said something so disrespectful to Yu Holea and it was only then Yu Holea knew that no mystic cultivator could complete 8 levels in just 4 years.

From then on she calmed down and didn’t continue to push herself.

However, she was shocked by the different variety of talismans the talismans pagoda had.

One of them could even help her summon a dragon.

This was something Yu Holea never expected.

According to heavenly dao, there is always a power balance.

If a greater power exists in a lesser world like Earth, where only some superhumans exist then a dragon can never be summoned.

Yet Yu Holea was able to summon it for 10 hours.

The talismans that Yu Holea used just now were Influence Talismans.

Influence Talismans, allows the user to control the mind. It usually works very well on weak-minded people and they quickly execute the task said to them.
