Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 534: Fight

Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Fight

For a moment, Qiao Jun looked at Vivian, really looking at her.

Her expression was full of sympathy, but it felt rehearsed, almost too perfect. He suddenly recalled Yu Holea’s earlier words—"She has some wrong intentions."

A flicker of doubt crossed his mind.

"Vivian," Qiao Jun began, his tone more guarded now.

"I appreciate your concern, but this is something I need to handle on my own. It’s between me and Lea."

Vivian’s face fell slightly, but she quickly masked it with a smile.

"Of course, Brother Jun. But remember, I’m always here for you, no matter what."

Qiao Jun nodded, though his thoughts were elsewhere. He needed to calm down, to think clearly.

"Thanks, Vivian. But I need some space right now."

Vivian reluctantly stepped back, watching as Qiao Jun disappeared into his room, the door closing with a quiet click.

She lingered for a moment, her expression shifting from concern to a flicker of irritation.

She had hoped to drive a deeper wedge between Qiao Jun and Yu Holea, but it seemed her plan wasn’t working as smoothly as she’d expected.

Downstairs, Yu Holea stood alone in the kitchen, staring at the unfinished lunch on the counter.

She was angry at herself for letting her emotions get the best of her. She knew Qiao Jun’s boundaries and knew how much he hated having his relationships questioned.

She’d crossed a line, and now she was paying the price.

As Yu Holea was about to leave the Qiao residence, she noticed Aunt Mila watching her from the corner of the living room.

There was a smugness in Aunt Mila’s eyes as if she enjoyed the fight between Yu Holea and Qiao Jun.

Yu Holea thought,

’Such type of person shouldn’t be left enjoying their life.’

She suddenly bowed to Aunt Mila and said,

"I am sorry."

Before Aunt Mila could understand anything, Yu Holea made some strange hand signals that Aunt Mila couldn’t understand and left.

Whoosh.

Aunt Mila barely had time to react as the golden waves emitted from Yu Holea’s hands. Those waves slowly reached her and passed through her.

"Haha! What type of cheap magic trick was this? I must say, I overestimated you." Aunt Mila chuckled.

Yu Holea wasn’t angry and turned to leave.

"Stop right there!" Vivian’s voice sounded.

’Oh...How can I leave her?’ Yu Holea thought.

She turned back and saw Vivian who was descending from stairs.

Vivian had a disdainful look on her face and asked,

"What did you say to brother Jun? Why is he sad?"

She didn’t give any chance to Yu Holea and continued,

"If you have some self-respect, you should leave him alone and break off the engagement!"

"Break off the engagement, so that you can take my place?" Yu Holea raised an eyebrow.

Vivian’s expression changed for a minute second before it returned to normal,

"You’re delusional, Yu Holea. I don’t want to take your place. I just want what’s best for Brother Jun. And clearly, that’s not you. You bring nothing but chaos into his life."

Yu Holea chuckled softly, unfazed by Vivian’s outburst.

"You keep saying it’s about what’s best for Qiao Jun, but we both know what this is really about, don’t we?" Her gaze sharpened, "You’re not fooling anyone, least of all me."

"You think you’re so smart, don’t you? But you’re just a nuisance, an outsider trying to worm your way into a family that doesn’t need you." Vivian taunted.

Yu Holea sighed. Truly she was fighting against a dumb person.

Vivian wasn’t a member of the Qiao family and her words didn’t matter. As long as the Qiao Family doesn’t think those things about her, she doesn’t need to mind Vivian and Aunt Mila.

Yu Holea made some hand signals and a golden light enveloped Vivian.

Before Vivian could say anything, Yu Holea waved her hand,

"Enjoy."

With that Yu Holea left.

"Hey! Stop! I said stop! What were those strange hand gestures just now?"

From Aunt Mila and Vivian’s perspective, Yu Holea only waved her hand in the air. They couldn’t see the golden light that developed them.

"She...did she curse us?" Aunt Mila asked in confusion.

Vivian slumped on the sofa and rolled her eyes,

"Maybe she just wanted to act like a mysterious person."

Aunt Mila nodded, she too thought that Yu Holea was only pretending to be mysterious to scare them off.

Vivian continued,

"Brother Jun is not ready to open up to me."

Aunt Mila’s eyes darkened and she stood up.

"I will check on him..."

"No need. I think we should leave him for the time being." Vivian said lightly.

Aunt Mila quietly sat down and asked,

"Oh right, I heard that you recently signed a contract with some director?"

Vivian nodded,

"Yes. I am planning to enter the entertainment industry."

"But why? Is it because..." Aunt Mila didn’t finish her words but Vivian understood what her mother meant.

She smiled,

"The entertainment industry may seem a simple place for everyone, but trust me, it the also the place where a lot of dirty things happen.

The celebrity you see shining on screen may have used dirty tricks to make themselves famous and shine.

It is also the place where a human can stoop to any level just so they can gain fame. Even if they have to pay a huge price.

How could I not enter such a place? In fact, no one could be more qualified to enter such a place than me."

........

In the goddess city.

"These b*tches!" A loud shout attracted the attention of all the other candidates.

They couldn’t help but turn to look at the head seat where Candidate Phoenix was sitting.

Candidate Phoenix’s eyes were filled with anger and it looked as if she would kill someone.

Candidate Swan shook her head and asked,

"What happened?"

Candidate Phoenix gritted her teeth and showed them the crystal ball in her hand through which the scene that had happened on the earth before could be seen.

Candidate Swan shook her head calmly and said,

"I know, you are angry but I advise you to not interfere."

"Yeah...yeah. I know." Candidate Phoenix sighed. Her tone was filled with boredom.

If she had the power, she would be by now by Yu Holea’s side.

Candidate Swan shook her head and suddenly said,

"Ah, right! Your birthday is around the corner, have you decided what you want?"

Candidate Phoenix shook her head with a slight smile on her face and said,

"No. You all have already given me a huge gift by doing that ritual with me."

To awaken Qiao Juna ahead of time, Candidate Phoenix and all the other candidates performed the rituals and succeeded. This was the reason why the day she left the goddess city she saw none of the candidates in the Justice Hall.

Though only Candidate Phoenix endured all the pain as a side effect, others turned weak too.

How can she still continue to ask for more things?

Candidate Swan frowned,

"No. That was our punishment. Not to mention you took the majority of the pain and bore the consequences alone. We didn’t do it as a gift for you; it was our responsibility." Candidate Swan’s voice was calm but tinged with a hint of guilt.

Candidate Phoenix leaned back in her seat, trying to mask her discomfort.

"I don’t need anything else. Besides, we’ve all paid our prices, haven’t we? It’s all for the greater good."

Her gaze shifted back to the crystal ball, where the images of Yu Holea, Vivian, and Aunt Mila continued to play out.

It was a bitter reminder of how far she was from the person she cared about most.

"I still think you should ask for something, Phoenix. You deserve it, even if it’s just a small wish."

"I want to spend my birthday with my Em...with Candidate Qilin. I want her to make a birthday cake for me, buy a birthday gift for me...and I want her to braid my hair. Can you make her do this for me?" Candidate Phoenix asked with slight hope in her eyes.

Candidate Swan felt a lump in her throat and looked away.

They say love makes a person blind. It was true.

Only the love between Candidate Phoenix and Yu Holea was far more different than the love between two lovers.

It was much more purer and innocent.

The only problem was...it was one-sided.

Seeing Candidate Swan silent, Candidate Phoenix had her answer. Her heart clenched, and it became a bit difficult for her to breathe.

Phoenix gave a weak smile.

"It’s alright I can understand."

She calmly placed the crystal away and lowered her head to deal with the other matters.

Candidate Swan clenched her hand. Looking at Candidate Phoenix’s gloomy aura, her heart ached and she made a decision in her heart.

........

Yu Holea walked back to her villa in a bad mood.

However, seeing a strange man standing outside her villa made her even more displeased.
