Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 483: New Authority

Chapter 483: Chapter 483: New Authority

....

At warehouse.

"So does anyone have any of Miss Yu’s stuff?"

The candidates looked at each other and shook their heads.

Sister Phoenix: "..." Why do I have such a pig teammate? They know nothing, do nothing, and are cowards!

"I want one courageous person to carry out the duty. Who is willing to volunteer?" Sister Phoenix asked and she noticed almost everyone was looking at somewhere else.

Only the lion-masked woman was looking at Sister Phoenix with a dumb expression.

The phoenix-masked woman got her scapegoat and she commanded,

"You! You go and fetch something from Miss Yu’s mansion."

Anyways among the candidates after Yu Holea, she disliked the lion-masked woman the most.

"Ah? Why? Why me?" The masked woman asked with some dissatisfaction.

"Because I asked you to. If you don’t do as I say, I will strip you of your position. I couldn’t teach Miss Yu a lesson but you are different.

You aren’t acknowledged by Heaven’s and nor have a backer. So it’s better if you start to work, or I will ask my knight to punish you for disobeying my demand."

The Lion masked woman’s face changed.

In her heart, she lamented at her bad luck.

If only she knew that she would turn the scapegoat in the last, she wouldn’t have agreed with the plan in the first place.

Seeing the dazed expression on the lion-masked woman’s face, Sister Phoenix was dissatisfied,

"What are you waiting for? Go!"

The lion-masked woman nodded and quickly left the warehouse, heading towards Yu Holea’s mansion. As she approached, she felt a chill run down her spine.

The mansion seemed eerily quiet as if it were holding its breath.

She climbed the trellis to the second floor and slipped into Yu Holea’s bedroom through the window.

Moving quickly, she began searching for something that belonged to Yu Holea.

Just as she found a silver hairpin on the vanity table, she heard a soft, almost imperceptible whisper behind her.

Turning around, she saw nothing but shadows.

Shrugging off the eerie feeling, she pocketed the hairpin and made her way back to the warehouse.

In her heart the lion masked woman scolded herself,

"Why was I even nervous? Even though she is powerful, what’s the use of being powerful when she even can’t detect my presence in her house?"

The lion masked woman felt a bit smug.

Unbeknownst to her, the ghost had already informed Yu Holea of her actions.

"Master Yu, she has taken your hairpin," the ghost reported upon returning.

"Good," Yu Holea said, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Let them think they have the upper hand. We’ll see who triumphs in the end."

Back at the warehouse, the lion-masked woman handed the hairpin to Sister Phoenix, who inspected it carefully.

"This will do," Sister Phoenix said, her voice filled with grim satisfaction.

This time Yu Holea was done for!

Even if Yu Holea knows that she is performing a Soul-binding technique and comes in the middle to stop her, she would be too late.

Once this ritual begins, Yu Holea’s life would be in danger anyhow.

"Begin the ritual."

The candidates formed a circle around the altar, their faces set with determination.

Sister Phoenix stood at the center, holding the hairpin aloft.

As she began chanting the ancient incantation, the air around them grew heavy with power.

The candles flickered wildly, casting long shadows on the walls.

The ritual was intense, the air crackling with energy.

The candidates poured their combined will into the incantation, focusing on the hairpin and its connection to Yu Holea.

At that moment, the ghost reappeared in the warehouse, silently observing the scene.

It floated behind Sister Phoenix, unseen and undetected.

Just as the ritual reached its peak, the ghost whispered a counter-incantation that disrupted the flow of energy.

The candles went out, plunging the room into darkness.

"What happened?" one of the candidates cried out, panic rising in her voice.

"The ritual was interrupted," Sister Phoenix said, her voice shaking with anger and fear. "But how?"

It was impossible to stop the ritual in the middle!

Yu Holea, meanwhile, stood outside the warehouse, her eyes fixed on candidates.

Some people truly can’t live a day without courting death.

Now it was time for her to finish what she had started.

"Sister Phoenix...does...does Miss Yu know about our ritual?" The swan-masked woman asked with a pale face.

"Even if she knows, she can’t stop us!"

"Unless..." A cold voice asked.

"Unless the item...wait! Who said unless?" Sister Phoenix asked and turned to look around.

Yu Holea’s chuckling voice sounded,

"Me. Candidate Phoenix."

Sister Phoenix’s pupil dilated in fear. Her body trembled but she tried to keep a strong front and scolded,

"Yu Holea are you crazy? How could you stop the rituals? This ritual is done to protect your fiance! Or is it that you want to kill us anyway and hence you are stopping us from performing the ritual?

What do you think guys?"

It was a clear hint to others to support her.

But everyone else was mesmerized by Yu Holea’s entry. She was currently levitating, in her white robe, she looked beautiful and like a holy goddess.

Sister Phoenix felt a strange kind of crisis and shouted,

"Am I right?"

Everyone came back to their sense and one by one started to echo.

"Yeah, right!"

"You are clearly framing us!"

"You can’t use this excuse to kill us all!"

"Yu Holea you are selfish!"

......

Sister Phoenix heaved a sigh of relief.

As long as she declined and had the support of others, Yu Holea wouldn’t be able to punish her.

Hmph! There is strength in number! Let’s see how you will deal with us!

"Enough," Yu Holea’s voice echoed through the warehouse.

"You think I don’t know what you were trying to do? Using my life force for your selfish ritual?"

Sister Phoenix tried to maintain her composure

"We were only trying to save Qiao Jun," she insisted, her voice trembling.

"You must understand, we had no choice."

"No choice?" Yu Holea repeated, her tone icy.

"You had every choice. You chose to use forbidden magic, to put my life at risk, and to deceive me.

You knew that forbidden magic could harm my fiance yet you continued. This is enough to prove everything."

Sister Phoenix gritted her teeth and said,

"You are just overreacting! The forbidden method is the most effective method!"

"Indeed I would be called overreacting if you used the right method. Effective method?

Soul Soul-binding method was never meant to heal a soul still bound to its body. You would have destroyed Qiao Jun’s soul and mine in the process."

Sister Phoenix’s face paled. She was about to argue but Yu Holea raised her hand,

"You know what I am not interested in arguing any further."

Yu Holea condensed her power in her hand and made a blue energy ball,

"I, hereby declare, that Sister Phoenix was found guilty of using the forbidden method to kill two innocent people.

Her punishment is...death penalty."

"What? Yu Holea are you crazy? How can you give me the death penalty? No! Wait! You are no one to judge me! Go and call goddess if you want justice!"

Sister Phoenix calmed down when she thought how Yu Holea doesn’t have any authority or power to punish her!

As long as the goddess was there, she would be saved!

Yu Holea as if reading Sister Phoenix’s thought chuckled.

"Sorry." She said in an amused tone.

All the candidates felt relieved.

Looks like Yu Holea was finally scared and will back off.

"Hey! Yu Holea as long as you kneel and copy the Diamond Sutra 100 times, we will let the matter go!" The cat-masked woman said arrogantly.

Yu Holea chuckled. She wanted to ask if this was an ancient time and if was she the (cat-masked woman) queen and viewed her(Yu Holea) as her daughter-in-law.

"Right!" Other courageous candidates too started to chime in.

The swan-masked woman didn’t rush to comment.

She was the type of person who would react only after knowing everything.

But from what she knows, the situation isn’t as optimistic as everyone is considering it to be!

The swan-masked woman stared at Yu Holea, trying to understand what she was thinking.

Just then Yu Holea turned her face and smiled at her. The smile made her heart chilled.

Sister Phoenix too thought like swan masked woman.

Suddenly her right eye started to twitch, and a bad premonition settled in her heart. She knew Yu Holea was not someone to be trifled with.

The calm demeanor, the levitation, the chilling smile—it all screamed danger.

"Yu Holea, if you think you can scare us with your tricks, you’re mistaken!" Sister Phoenix shouted, trying to muster as much authority as she could.

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow, her amusement only deepening.

"I am just apologizing... for not telling you about my new authority...."

The breathing of all candidates fastened.
