Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 482: Forbidden Method
Chapter 482: Chapter 482: Forbidden Method
A soul issue was far more complicated and dangerous than she had anticipated.
She needed to find a solution quickly, but she also needed to tread carefully.
The consequences of mishandling such a delicate matter could be catastrophic.
"Thank you, Fioana. We’ll look into it. If you remember anything else, please let us know immediately," Sister Phoenix said, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Of course, Sister Phoenix. I’ll help however I can," Fioana replied before the call ended.
All the candidates trembled in fear.
Sister Phoenix turned to the group, who were still covering their eyes.
She cursed them in her heart. Such a coward. Even during the time of planning, they like dumb people followed her lead and even now they were trying to rely on her.
Do they see her as their mother?
"Sister Phoenix, what should we do next? If it is a soul-related problem, we would at least need 3 years to solve it! How could we cure him in three days?"
Sister Phoenix knew they didn’t have three years. Heck they don’t even have three months!
They had to find a way to solve Qiao Jun’s soul issue quickly, or else face Yu Holea’s wrath. Her mind raced as she tried to come up with a plan.
"We don’t have three years," Sister Phoenix said, her voice firm. "We need to find an alternative solution."
"An alternative? Like what?" one of the candidates asked, her voice trembling.
"There are ancient rituals and forbidden techniques that can accelerate the process. We might need to consider them," Sister Phoenix replied.
"But those are dangerous!" another candidate protested.
"Do you have a better idea?" Sister Phoenix snapped. "We don’t have a choice. If we don’t act now, Yu Holea will destroy us."
The room fell silent. No one dared to argue further.
"Listen," she said, taking a deep breath,
"we’ll need to gather all the necessary materials and find a secluded place to perform the ritual. We can’t do it here; it’s too risky."
"But where will we find those materials?" the lion-masked woman asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"We’ll split up and search," Sister Phoenix replied.
"We need to act quickly and quietly. Avoid drawing attention to ourselves."
With a plan in place, the candidates reluctantly nodded in agreement.
They removed their hands from their eyes and began to disperse, each heading in different directions to gather what they needed for the ritual.
"Sister Phoenix, what forbidden method are you planning to use?" The swan-masked woman asked.
Sister Phoenix looked at the swan-masked woman, her eyes hardening with determination. "The Soul Binding Ritual," she said.
"It’s risky and highly forbidden, but it’s the only way to mend a damaged soul quickly."
The swan-masked woman gasped,
"But that ritual requires a sacrifice."
"I know," Sister Phoenix replied coldly.
"We’ll have to find a way to perform it without a human sacrifice. Perhaps we can use an animal or a symbolic object."
The candidates exchanged uneasy glances but remained silent.
They knew better than to question Sister Phoenix when she was this resolute.
"Let’s move quickly," Sister Phoenix urged. "We don’t have much time."
................
Meanwhile, back at Yu Holea’s house, she was oblivious to the desperate plans being concocted by other candidates.
Yu Holea lay on the bed and was about to fall asleep when she heard a knock on her window.
As if she expected it, Yu Holea stood up and turned to open the window.
Outside was one of the ghosts, who had constantly haunted the candidates of the goddess city.
"Master Yu they are planning to use a forbidden technique to cure Master Jun’s illness."
Yu Holea’s face turned gloomy, " Don’t they know that it is dangerous?"
The ghost nodded, its translucent form flickering in the moonlight.
"They are desperate, Master Yu. They fear your wrath more than the consequences of meddling with forbidden magic."
Yu Holea clenched her fists.
The candidates’ desperation was expected, but their willingness to risk everything on a dangerous ritual was reckless.
She needed to intervene before they caused irreparable damage.
"Keep an eye on them," she commanded the ghost.
"Report back to me if they make any progress with their preparations."
The ghost bowed and vanished into the night, leaving Yu Holea alone with her thoughts.
..............
The candidates worked tirelessly at the warehouse, gathering the rare and often illegal materials required for the Soul Binding Ritual.
"Place the herbs in a circle around the altar," she instructed.
"And make sure the candles are evenly spaced. We can’t afford any mistakes."
The candidates obeyed, their movements precise and deliberate.
They had no room for error. As they arranged the final components, a sense of dread settled over the group.
Sister Phoenix asked,
"Where is the final item?"
The final item was one item that belonged to Qiao Jun. The item would act as a mediator between Qiao Jun’s soul and Qiao Jun’s body.
What the phoenix-masked woman didn’t know was, the soul-binding method was used when the soul had left the body. Qiao Jun’s soul was damaged so the soul-binding method was the least suitable.
It may even backfire.
"Sister Phoenix, we couldn’t find anything related to Qiao Jun..." The cat-masked woman said in a aggrieved voice.
To travel between Earth and Goddess City, a lot of energy is used. She made a trip to Earth but found nothing and at last, she could only return to the goddess cit.
"What do you mean by you couldn’t find? Isn’t there any shirt or t-shirt or anything that he wears or carries? Didn’t you visit his house?"
The cat-masked woman lowered her head,
"Sister Phoenix, I couldn’t enter the mansion in which he lives due to some formation! As for the hospital room, I tried to find it for a long time but didn’t anything related to him, not even his phone."
"Strange." Sister Phoenix muttered.
"We’ll have to improvise," she said, her voice filled with grim determination.
"We can’t let this stop us. We’ll use a proxy—something that holds significant energy or value to him, even if it isn’t directly his."
"But what could that be?" asked the lion-masked woman, her voice trembling with fear and uncertainty.
"Since Miss Yu is connected to her fiance, let’s use her belongings." Sister Phoenix said.
Till now she was thinking of curing Qiao Jun but suddenly she had an idea.
What if...what if Yu Holea gets the choice of using her life force to cure Qiao Jun? Would she still be so calm and act powerful?
The candidates exchanged uneasy glances.
They knew what Sister Phoenix was suggesting was dangerous, possibly even fatal for Yu Holea. But they also knew they had little choice.
"What exactly are you planning, Sister Phoenix?" the swan-masked woman asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"We’re going to perform a ritual that binds Yu Holea’s life force to Qiao Jun’s," Sister Phoenix explained.
"It will use her strength to heal his soul. If done correctly, it could save him. If not..." She let the words hang in the air, the implications clear.
"But won’t that harm Miss Yu ?" One of the women asked.
Sister Phoenix’s eyes hardened. "We have no choice. And didn’t Miss Yu, say that she would let us off as long as we cure her fiance?
Well, she could now finally have the opportunity to save him."
Not to mention, even if they fail, Yu Holea would be the one who would die! She won’t be given any punishment.
No one knows about this risk. And the goddess would most likely not use the Time-Rewind method to find out what had happened.
As long as she claims, that it was only done to cure Qiao Jun everyone would believe her. After all, she wasn’t alone and she had other candidates behind her.
"Okay go and find something that belongs to Miss Yu. Worst come worst, we will ask her upfront to hand over her personal items!"
Anyways Yu Holea was so young she wouldn’t know what the method is!
Back at Yu Holea’s mansion, suddenly, the ghost reappeared.
It then recounted everything that had happened.
"Master Yu, they have begun the ritual," the ghost reported. "They are using your belongings as a proxy."
"Who was the one who suggested using this method?" Yu Holea asked even though she already had a guess in her mind.
"Miss Phoenix." The ghost reported.
Yu Holea was silent.
She now understood one of the most important facts.
Some people never learn their lesson.
Since they are waiting for death, why should she disappoint them?
then she whispered something to the ghost and asked,
"Would you be able to do the things I asked you quietly?"
"Yes, Master Yu," the ghost responded,
"I will carry out your instructions discreetly."
"Good," Yu Holea said, her voice cold.
As the ghost vanished into the night, Yu Holea stood by the window,
"Since you don’t want my mercy I would give you none."
