Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 478: First Trial

Chapter 478: Chapter 478: First Trial

When she lowered her arm, she found herself no longer in the cold, dark room but in a vast, open field.

The sky above was a deep, cerulean blue, and the sun shone brightly, casting warm rays upon her face.

Just as Yu Holea was confused as to where she was, Yu Holea heard a charming and sexy voice,

"Lea~"

Yu Holea turned around and for a moment her heart skipped a beat. She couldn’t believe her eyes and almost shouted,

"Brother Jun?"

In front of her Qiao Jun was standing, he looked just like the last time Yu Holea had seen him.

Elegant, charming, and handsome.

"Lea you are finally here? Let’s go to our home, Megan and Jessie are waiting for us."

"Megan? Jessie? Who are they?" Yu Holea is confused.

"Our daughters! Did you forget about them? They are waiting for us at home!" Qiao Jun said with a gentle expression.

"Daughters?" she echoed, her voice shaky. "But, Brother Jun, you..weren’t you in a coma?"

Qiao Jun’s warm smile faltered for a moment, replaced by a flicker of something she couldn’t quite place.

"Lea, what are you talking about? I’m right here. We’ve built a life together, remember?"

Her surroundings blurred, and Yu Holea felt dizzy.

She tried to grasp the situation, to understand whether this was an illusion or reality. It couldn’t be real; she knew that. Qiao Jun was in a coma and she had seen it with her own eyes.

Yet, the vividness of the scene was undeniable.

"Jun, this... this can’t be real," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Qiao Jun’s expression shifted from confusion to concern. He reached out, gently cupping her face in his hands.

His touch was warm and real, and it sent a shiver through Yu Holea. "Lea, maybe you’re just tired.

Come with me. Let’s go home, and you’ll see. Everything will make sense."

He extended his hand towards her, and for a moment, Yu Holea hesitated. His touch felt so real, so warm.

"I... I can’t," she said, stepping back. "This isn’t real. You’re not real."

Qiao Jun’s face twisted with sadness, and the surroundings began to shimmer and distort. "Lea, please. Just come home with me."

Yu Holea clenched her fists, closing her eyes tightly.

"No! This is just an illusion. I have to stay strong. This is the trial."

Hearing Yu Holea’s words, Qiao Jun coaxed,

"Lea, even if this an illusion, why can’t you stay here, with me? Isn’t the real life very tiring? You have to constantly fight against those who harmed us.

You have to constantly live under pressure and you have to sacrifice your rest just so you can take revenge on those stupid people.

Not to mention, so many people doubt you, even though you are sincere to them. And if you treat me well then we can live like a real couple.

We will proceed with our engagement just like our plan and our loved ones will be present too."

Just as he finished speaking Mrs. Qiao’s gentle voice sounded,

"He is right Lea."

Yu Holea was stunned and turned around, only to find herself in the Qiao Mansion.

Strangely the entire mansion was decorated.

"Lea, so what is your answer?"

Yu Holea turned around and saw Qiao Jun who was kneeling in front of her with a beautiful ring in his hand.

Yu Holea looked down and saw herself in a beautiful light blue gown.

Below the stage were the other Qiao family members.

There was also Yu Sicong, Yu Shuchang, and Yu Sile. Mrs. Yu was wiping her tears.

Qiao Li was cheering with a smile.

She shifted her gaze to Qiao Jun. He was wearing a black three-piece tuxedo and looked very handsome.

Everything was just like she had imagined...

Qiao Jun held Yu Holea’s fingers and said,

"Just a single ’yes’ and Lea you won’t be needing to work at all. We can create any scenario you want whether it is taking revenge or getting engaged or getting married.

We will be immortal in this place! We will never die and live together forever."

A single yes could eliminate all of her pain.

A single yes could let her live peacefully.

And most importantly...a single yes could give what she desired the most.

Yu Holea felt her heart pounding.

Finally, she called out,

"Jun."

Qiao Jun instantly answered,

"Yes."

His tone was so gentle that it could melt anyone’s heart.

Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"I am not calling you out, I am asking what about my Jun? If I stay with you, what will happen to my real Jun?"

"He..." ’Qiao Jun’ didn’t have an answer.

Yu Holea took back her hand and said,

"Nice try."

The moment she said those words, the scene around her began to crumble.

The beautifully decorated Qiao Mansion, the smiling faces of her family, and the perfect version of Qiao Jun all started to dissolve into a blur of colors and light.

"No! Lea, please reconsider!" the illusionary Qiao Jun pleaded, his voice desperate and pained.

"We can be happy here!"

Yu Holea felt a pang of sorrow seeing the anguish on his face, but she steeled herself, knowing this was just a facade.

"I’m sorry, but this isn’t real. I have to face the truth, no matter how difficult it is."

If she was still the innocent Lea, she would have cried for sure, but after Qiao Jun went into a coma, Yu Holea felt that it didn’t matter whether she cried or not.

Since crying can’t bring Qiao Jun back she would never cry. Not until Qiao Jun woke up...

As she spoke, the surroundings shimmered and warped, the colors blending and swirling until she found herself back in the cold, dark room.

The transition was jarring, the sudden chill biting into her skin.

The familiar voice echoed once again, this time with a tone of satisfaction.,

"You have passed the first test. Now let’s move to the next part of the trial. We will give you a situation and you have to judge the situation and give an impartial answer.

Are you ready?"

Yu Holea nodded,

"Yes."

"Okay, so here is the situation. A beautiful girl once went on a trip with her friends. Her friends and she mistakenly ended up in a graveyard.

Just as the group was about to leave, a ghost was disturbed by the group. The ghost captured them all and promised to let them leave as long as they sacrificed someone from their group.

The group discusses and finally decides to let the beautiful girl be the sacrifice. The reason was pretty simple. The beautiful girl belonged to a poor family, while others belonged to a rich family.

The beautiful girl begs them to not hand her over but doesn’t listen and after passing the beautiful girl to the ghost all of them hurriedly leave.

The beautiful girl gets possessed by the ghost and kills the group members one by one. When she was about to kill the last person, he asked,

"Didn’t you tell us you would let us go?"

The girl who was possessed says,

"I did. And I even let you go once. But I never said something about not capturing you again." And then she kills him too.

So now tell me, who is at mistake? The group who handed over the girl selfishly, the ghost who played mind games with them, or the beautiful girl who killed her own friend."

After a moment of contemplation, she began to speak, her voice clear and thoughtful.

"In this scenario, each party has its share of blame," she said. "Let’s break it down:

The Group: They made a selfish and morally questionable decision by sacrificing the beautiful girl.

Their rationale was based on socioeconomic status, deeming her less valuable because she was from a poor family.

They betrayed their friend, valuing their own lives over hers, which is a severe moral failing.

The Ghost: The ghost played a cruel mind game, exploiting the group’s fear and desperation.

While it could be argued that the ghost, being a supernatural entity, operates under different moral codes, its manipulation and deceit added layers of psychological torture.

Promising to let them go but not guaranteeing their safety afterward is a deliberate act of malevolence.

As for the beautiful girl...she was the most pitiful. While her actions were extreme and violent, it’s important to consider the context. She was a victim of both the group’s betrayal and the ghost’s possession..."

Yu Holea paused and continued,

"However, considering that the beautiful girl was friends with the group for a long time, she should have realized that those people weren’t good, yet she stayed with them.

So part of it was her mistake. In essence, the root cause of the tragedy lies in the group’s decision to sacrifice the girl.

Their betrayal and willingness to sacrifice one of their own out of convenience and prejudice created a situation ripe for manipulation and violence."
