Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 476: Lira And Sir Aldric
Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Lira And Sir Aldric
"Yu Holea... please. There must be another way. I... I’ll do anything."
Yu Holea’s eyes hardened.
"I’ve given you your options. Save my fiancé or face the consequences."
With that, Yu Holea turned and left the room, her radiant aura fading as she exited, leaving the candidates in a state of panic and disarray.
The cat-masked woman was the first to speak, her voice shaky but resolute.
"We have to work together. It’s the only way we can get through this."
The swan-masked woman nodded, though her eyes were still wide with fear.
However, all of them knew that they were only lying.
Without mystic energy, they could never exorcise any ghost!
....
Yu Holea didn’t care about the outcome. This was only a small gift prepared by her.
If they can’t even stand it, then it was truly a waste for her to come to Goddess City just to bring justice for her boyfriend. Such cheap people can be dealt with while she stays on earth.
As soon as Yu Holea walked out, she saw a knight and a maid-like person.
Both of them had worried looks on their face.
"Miss, are you alright? Did they harm you? Did they flog you? Miss don’t mess them for the time being, we promise to take revenge on them for you in the future!"
The woman dressed in maid’s clothes said.
The knight had a cold expression, but Yu Holea could sense that he wasn’t hostile to her.
"Who are you?" Yu Holea asked.
The maid-like woman stepped forward, bowing slightly before speaking.
"I am Lira, a maid assigned to assist you during your time in the Goddess City. This is Sir Aldric, one of the knights entrusted with your protection."
Sir Aldric nodded curtly, his cold demeanor softening just a bit as he addressed Yu Holea.
Lira was slightly chubby, her clothes were clean, and her hairs were parted and made into a bun. She looked like a kind woman. Black hair, brown eyes, and slightly fair skin.
Yu Holea guessed that she was in her late twenties or early thirties.
Sir Aldric just like Lira looked like a person in his early thirties, he too had black hair. However, his blue serene eyes made his average-looking face much more handsome.
He had a tall build and looked fit.
"We were concerned for your safety. The candidates you faced are known to be ruthless."
Yu Holea studied them both for a moment before responding.
"Thank you for your concern, Lira, Sir Aldric. But as you can see, I am unharmed. The candidates may be ruthless, but they lack the strength to truly challenge me."
Lira’s eyes filled with admiration.
"Miss, your power is incredible. I have never seen anyone stand up to them like that."
Yu Holea smiled slightly.
She was thankful for their concern. Even though they had met her one time, she could see genuine care and love for her in their eyes.
However, Yu Holea didn’t plan to get close to them for the time being. She can’t trust anyone, till she takes her revenge.
"I appreciate your support, but we must remain cautious," Yu Holea said, her voice firm.
"Until I have taken my revenge and restored justice for my fiancé, I can’t afford to trust anyone completely."
She didn’t hide the fact, that she couldn’t trust them fully.
Lira nodded, understanding Yu Holea’s hesitance.
"Of course, Miss. We are here to help in any way we can."
Sir Aldric remained silent, his stoic expression revealing nothing.
Yet, Yu Holea sensed his resolve and loyalty. She needed allies, but she had to be careful about how much she revealed and to whom.
Yu Holea then yawned and said,
"I am feeling tired I would like to sleep."
"But miss you haven’t eaten anything yet," Lira said in a concerned voice.
"Doesn’t matter, I am alright." Yu Holea said politely.
Lira was about to argue when the Knight gave her a look and she could only give up for the time being.
Lira could only guide Yu Holea to a small but warm villa, in one of the corners.
Yu Holea noticed that the villa was surrounded by the forest.
A clear path was made from the Grand mansion to her villa.
Soon they reached outside the villa.
The gate was intricately designed with vines and floral patterns, giving it a quaint yet elegant appearance. Yu Holea paused, taking in the serene surroundings.
The villa, though modest in size, exuded a comforting warmth, contrasting sharply with the cold, imposing grandeur of the Goddess City.
Lira opened the gate and led Yu Holea inside. The interior was cozy, with soft lighting and simple but tasteful furnishings.
The scent of fresh flowers filled the air, and Yu Holea couldn’t help but feel a small measure of peace wash over her.
"Miss, if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to call for me," Lira said softly.
"I’ll be nearby."
Sir Aldric, who had followed them silently, nodded in agreement.
"We are here to ensure your safety and comfort."
Yu Holea gave them both a tired smile.
"Thank you, Lira, Sir Aldric. I will rest now."
Lira and Sir Aldric bowed slightly and left the villa, leaving Yu Holea alone. She walked to the bedroom, her body heavy with exhaustion.
Once outside, the faces of Lira and Sir Aldric fell.
Both Sir Aldric and Lira were a bit disappointed in their heart that Yu Holea didn’t trust them.
However, they didn’t express it.
Yu Holea lost her fiance and they didn’t even help her.
Even though they knew Yu Holea was their destined master, they didn’t keep enough tabs on the other candidates, and because of this Yu Holea had to go through so much pain.
It could be seen how painful everything was for her.
"Say...will Miss Yu ever trust us?" Lira asked in a downcast mood.
"Does it matter? We don’t need her trust. We need to protect her and assist her. Trust is not something that could be built in one day." Sir Aldric said with a serious expression.
Lira sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly.
"I suppose you’re right. We just need to do our duty and hope she sees our loyalty in time."
Sir Aldric placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Exactly. We have to prove ourselves through our actions. Now, let’s make sure everything is in order for her comfort and safety."
Inside the villa, Yu Holea lay on the soft bed, staring up at the ceiling.
Today she punished those who had harmed her fiance and to say she didn’t feel any satisfaction would be a lie.
However, a sense of heaviness still lingered in her heart.
After all, the misery of the other candidates couldn’t cure her Jun.
Yu Holea took out her phone and stared at some of the photos she had of Qiao Jun.
She wasn’t lying when she said that she would let those go, who would cure Qiao Jun.
Revenge was important but her brother Jun was much more important.
She could forget the grievance she had suffered as long as they cured him.
But if they can’t...
A glint flashed past Yu Holea’s eyes.
If they can’t then she will take her revenge and make it such they will regret their decision their entire life.
If they hated her so much, if they found her a threat to their position, they should have killed her and prevented their best from letting her enter the Goddess city.
But they were incapable and couldn’t stop her from entering the goddess city, so now they have to bear the consequences.
Goddess City...
Who would have thought that such a beautiful place existed?
In fact, what made it more admirable was how no one can enter this place as long as they awaken their power.
Yu Holea remembered how she got to know about this piece of news from Cui Wang.
For the past few months, she was trying to find a way to enter the goddess city and had some breakthroughs, but then the process was extremely slow.
It was so slow...so slow that Yu Holea doubted whether she would be able to enter the goddess city before she turned 29.
But thanks to understanding certain logic, Yu Holea was able to enter the goddess city so early.
Cui Wang found out that as long as she do good deeds she would be able to increase her eligibility and become a candidate.
Carl, Qiao Jun’s subordinate, also found how exorcising the ghost could also increase her chances of becoming a candidate.
With these pieces of news, Yu Holea walked day and night to quickly awaken and surpass the criteria.
Yu Holea still remembered how she awakened completely.
Just a day ago, she finished the charity program and felt her back burning. Soon she felt a surge of energy unlike anything she had ever experienced.
Before she could understand anything, she was enveloped with a golden light.
