The moment she left, Qiao Li emerged out of the shadows, her eyes filled with sorrow as she watched Yu Holea leave. She had been hiding there, silently observing the entire interaction between Yu Holea and her brother.

Qiao Li approached Qiao Jun’s bed and gently took her brother’s hand, feeling the coldness of his skin. She sat down and sighed deeply.

"Brother, I wish you could wake up soon," she murmured.

"Yu Holea...she’s spiraling. She’s doing all this for you, but it’s tearing her apart. I don’t know why but...she doesn’t seem alright. Brother Jun, you love her, right? So please wake up."

Phoenix masked woman was sitting in the hall with the other candidates.

The swan-masked woman’s face paled as she listened intently, her heart pounding.

"What do you mean, captured?" the phoenix-masked woman demanded, her voice barely masking her fear.

"Yeah. Yesterday..." Then Fioana told everything to a phoenix-masked woman. Including the misfortune she had suffered yesterday.

Phoenix masked woman was stunned and said,

"What? Is she that powerful? Wait! Did she use misfortune talismans on you?"

Fioana was surprised,

"Ah? Misfortune talisman? What is that?"

The phoenix-masked woman took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts.

Carl’s eyes showed a hint of concern, but he nodded.

In his heart, he felt pity for Yu Holea.

A 16-year-old has to face so many things, yet she doesn’t complain.

She sleeps for 5 hours, performs her morning routine, deals with some cases, helps Boss Qiao by managing important matters in his absence, studies, and at the same time devises plans on how to get revenge and visits Boss Qiao every day.
