"We went to confront Grandmother. It didn’t go as planned. She’s... stubborn and unrepentant."

Yu Sile nodded, his expression grim.

"She denied everything, called us ungrateful, and even tried to turn the situation around by blaming our mother for her own suffering."

Yu Shuchang leaned back on the sofa, closing his eyes briefly.

"It was a mess. But we didn’t expect it to be easy."

For the Yu brothers, it was an eye-opening incident.

They never thought that the sweet grandmother that they had seen since their childhood had such a dark side to her.

What made them even more ashamed was...even though Yu Holea had only stayed with them for 2 days, she knew more about the Yu family than them!

Won’t they look like incompetent people in their eyes?

She saw a black masked figure, who had a strange device in their hand and was pointing at Yu Holea’s body.

Yu Holea turned to look at her body and was even more surprised.

If a person leaves his/her body, the body which is just a shell, falls. However, Yu Holea saw her body working perfectly fine.

Was it some evil entity?

Yu Holea shouted at her body and for a moment the body indeed turned to look in soul Yu Holea’s direction.

However, that was just for a second.

The next moment Yu Holea’s body looked away.

A strange kind of familiarity rose in Yu Holea’s heart.

Yu Holea looked around and saw Qiao Jun who was standing on the other side of the road, waiting for the traffic light to turn red.
