Yu Holea couldn’t enter her body at all.

She watched helplessly as her body which was occupied by her past self, tried her best to stop the bleeding.

Yu Holea felt helpless at that particular moment.

Without looking at the statue of the god, Yu Holea turned around and ran towards the hospital.

Once she reached the ward, Yu Holea used her superpower of invisibility and entered the emergency room.

Yu Holea quietly used her mystic power to heal Qiao Jun.

After inserting her mystic energy into Qiao Jun’s body for 10 minutes, Yu Hoela noticed that Qiao Jun’s condition was improving a bit.

Yu Holea was excited and continued to insert her energy.

The doctor who was performing the surgery couldn’t help but become stunned,

However, she refused to give up.

Just then the door to the emergency room opened and the head doctor came out,

But first, she wanted to see Qiao Jun, to be by his side when he woke up.

She made her way to his room, her steps slow and unsteady.

Once inside, she took a seat beside his bed, watching the steady rise and fall of his chest.

The sight of him alive and breathing filled her with relief.

Soon the Qiao Family arrived too.

When Mrs. Qiao saw Qiao Jun’s pale face, tears welled up in her eyes. She rushed to his bedside, taking his hand gently in hers.

"Oh, my poor boy," she whispered, her voice trembling. "How did this happen?"

Even though Mrs. Qiao shows that she likes her youngest son the most, in her heart only she knew that she loved her second son the most!

Yu Holea stood up, feeling a bit out of place.

"It was an accident. He was hit by a truck. But the doctors did a great job. He’ll recover."

Mr. Qiao nodded solemnly, placing a comforting hand on Mrs. Qiao’s shoulder.

"Okay...Lea, what happen to you? Why is your face pale too? Did you get injured too?"

All the Qiao family who were worried about Qiao Jun till now, looked in Yu Holea’s direction.

"Yeah...Lea...why is your face so pale?" Qiao Li was instantly worried and she hurriedly poured a cup of water for Yu Holea.

Yu Holea didn’t decline and said softly,

"Nothing happened to me, I was just worried, and hence my complexion istooo pale."

"Lea, are you sure?’ Mrs. Qiao asked worriedly.

"Hmm." Yu Holea nodded.

The Qiao Family stayed in the hospital room for the next 2 hours and when the nurse asked them to leave, Mr. Qiao said,

"You all go and I will stay!"

"No! That won’t do! I am his mother I will stay!" Mrs. Qiao said.

She knew how inconvenient it was for Mr. Qiao to stay at the hospital overnight with his work commitments.

"Aunt, please let me stay with Qiao Jun tonight. You’ve all had a long day," Yu Holea interjected, her voice steady despite her fatigue.

"I’ll call you if there’s any change."

Mrs. Qiao shook her head,

"Lea you are not fine too! Not to mention, you are a girl, it is not safe for you to stay in the hospital room alone."

Yu Holea softly held Mrs. Qiao’s hand and said,

"Aunt, I am his fiance, why can’t I stay with him? Not to mention, I have superpowers, who would dare to hurt me? You should be worried that others don’t get harmed by me."

Mrs. Qaio chuckled when she heard Yu Holea’s words and finally after much insistent, Mrs. Qiao said,

"Thank you, Lea. Please take care of him."

As the Qiao family left the room, Yu Holea settled into the chair beside Qiao Jun’s bed.

She watched his peaceful, sleeping face, feeling a deep sense of relief. She had saved him, but she knew the danger wasn’t over yet.

Many questions have still not been answered.

Who was that black-masked figure? Why did it want to harm both of them and what was the equipment that figure used?

Yu Holea didn’t know much about time travel. But one thing that she knows is that it was absolutely not allowed to replace a person’s past self with their current self.

So will that figure suffer backlash or karma?

"Oh? What are they?" Qiao Jun asked.

"I too don’t know. Maybe when I will encounter it, I will tell you and you protect me from it."

"Ok, wifey! But I will charge fees." Qiao Jun agreed and put forth his condition.

"Sure, Captain Qiao." Yu Holea joked.

Now when remembered the scene, Yu Holea felt a strange kind of bitterness and she said to Qiao Jun,

"Didn’t you ask what I am afraid of? I will tell you. I am afraid that I will lose you. I am afraid that you will leave me. Now wake up and fulfill your promise."

However, Qiao Jun remained silent. He was lying on the hospital bed as if he was sleeping.

Yu Holea felt a lump in her throat and she scolded him,

"Brother Jun you are too cruel when I ask you to shut up, you keep on calling me wife. When I ask you to speak, you don’t say a word."
