The next morning, Yu Holea woke up early, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. She dressed quickly and headed to the Zhao residence. Mr. Zhao answered the door, looking tired but determined.

"Good morning, Celestial Master Yu," he greeted her.

"Good morning, Mr. Zhao," she replied. "I hope you had a restful night."

"We did, thanks to your talismans," he said, leading her inside. "Please, come in. We have something to discuss with you."

Yu Holea followed Mr. Zhao into the living room, where Mrs. Zhao was waiting with a cup of tea. She looked nervous but resolute.

"Celestial Master Yu," Mrs. Zhao began, "we talked last night and realized that we need to share everything with you."

Mr. Zhao nodded in agreement.

Please, have a seat."

Yu Holea sat down, her expression calm and encouraging. "I’m here to listen. Please, tell me everything."

Mr. Zhao took a deep breath and began.

"My grandmother, as we mentioned, was a healer and practiced traditional rituals. She was revered in our community, but there were rumors that she had angered a powerful spirit.

This spirit was said to be vengeful and malicious, and it caused several tragedies in our village."

Mrs. Zhao added,

"To protect our family, she performed a ritual to trap the spirit in a mirror. It was a desperate measure, but she believed it was the only way to keep us safe."

"After the ritual," Mr. Zhao continued,

"She warned us never to break the mirror or let it out of the attic. For years, we kept it hidden away, and we thought the danger had passed.

But recently, strange things started happening. Objects would move on their own, and Junjie began seeing things we couldn’t."

Mrs. Zhao’s eyes filled with tears.

"We didn’t realize the spirit had found a way to influence our home again. And then it possessed Junjie."

Yu Holea listened intently, her mind working to piece together the story.

"It seems the spirit’s influence weakened over time, but something triggered its resurgence. Do you know what might have caused it?"

Mr. Zhao looked pensive.

"There was an incident a few months ago. A construction crew was working on the roof, and they accidentally damaged a section of the attic.

We didn’t think much of it at the time, but perhaps that disturbance weakened the seal on the mirror."

Yu Holea nodded thoughtfully.

"That makes sense. Disturbing the mirror’s resting place could have given the spirit an opportunity to regain its strength.

We need to perform a stronger ritual to banish it permanently."

Mrs. Zhao looked worried.

"What if the spirit resists? Will it try to harm Junjie again?"

Yu Holea’s expression was resolute.

"I’ll ensure Junjie’s safety. We’ll need to prepare carefully and gather the necessary materials. The ritual will be challenging, but with your cooperation, we can succeed."

"We’ll do whatever it takes. Just tell us what we need to do."

Yu Holea outlined the steps for the ritual, including gathering specific herbs, candles, and sacred objects.

The Zhaos listened attentively and began making preparations immediately.

"Master Yu, when will we perform the ritual?" Mrs. Zhao asked.

After the incident last night, she completely believed Yu Holea’s capability.

"What the heck!" A young woman clad in a white dress with a golden border near her waist, and a Phoenix mask shouted in anger.

All the other candidates shut their mouths.

"Please calm down." Another young woman dressed in the same manner as the previous woman, wearing a white swan mask said.

"How the hell am I to calm down? Wasn’t that b*tch’s power going down? Why is her power now rapidly rising?" The phoenix masked woman asked with anger.

"Maybe she has figured out the way to awaken her powers." A blue-haired young man in a knight’s uniform standing behind the young woman wearing a swan mask said.

The phoenix-masked woman’s chest heaved fast, a clear indication that she was very angry.

"No! We can’t let come to the goddess city!"

"How about using the same previous trick?" A cat-masked woman suggested.

The swan-masked woman shook her head,

"It may seem easy but it really isn’t. Last time, the goddess was away we could take action against that girl, but now that the goddess is back, we can’t harm her for the time being."

"What about Fiaona? How about if we use her?" A bird masked woman suggested.

The phoenix woman’s eyes lit up.

"But how?" The swan woman asked.

"If you want to deal with her, give her a final blow this time. A blow that should be powerful enough to completely break her.

Once her confidence is shattered, she will never be able to come here."

"Call Fioana, tempt her with the offer. If she can come up with a good plan, one that could completely weaken that girl, we will accept her in the circle." The phoenix masked woman said.

After some while, the swan-masked woman returned and said,

"Fioana is asking for some divine tools, such as..."

"Give her everything! Don’t ask! Even if you empty my treasury I won’t blame you but remember you must get the work done." The phoenix masked woman said with gritted teeth.

"Oh okay!" The swan-masked woman was delighted.

In the name of Fioana, she could at least ’borrow’ some more jewelry from phoenix masked woman, right?

She won’t take away much! Just 20 kg of jewelry!

Qiao Jun was sleeping on her bed.

In the quiet of the Yu family residence, where peace usually reigned, Qiao Jun’s distress was starkly out of place.

His features contorted with residual fear, a testament to the intensity of whatever he had just experienced in his dream.

"It was a dream! It was a dream!" He repeated two times.

It was unknown whether he was confirming or assuring himself.

Yu Holea talked with the Yu family and Qiao Li before calling Qiao Jun.

When the call was connected Yu Holea said in a slightly guilty tone,

"Hi..."

However, the other side was silent for a long while, making Yu Holea wonder whether the phone was hung up.

Just as she was about to speak again, Qiao Jun’s voice finally came through, quiet and somewhat weak.

"Lea" he greeted softly.

Relief washed over Yu Holea upon hearing his voice.

But when she sensed the slight weakness in his tone, she was instantly worried.

"What happened? Why are you sounding so weak?"

"Nothing."

However, Yu Holea didn’t wait for him to finish his words and hung up the call. She video-called him and after 4 rings, Qiao Jun accepted the video call.

"Show me your face." Yu Holea said the moment the video call was connected.

Qiao Jun was sitting in the dark due to which she wasn’t able to see Qiao Jun’s expression at all.

"Lea, be good. I have rashes on, my face and can’t show it to you for the time being." Qiao Jun said in a low voice.

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow,

"Jun you will show me your face within 1 minute, otherwise I will use 100 teleportation talismans just to reach you. Even though that would harm my body, I will do it."
