Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 456: Puppet
Chapter 456: Chapter 456: Puppet
Yu Holea exchanged a determined glance with Junjie, silently urging him to stay strong. She knew that the entity fed on fear and uncertainty, and she refused to give it any advantage.
"And who said that?" Yu Holea raised an eyebrow.
Then without wasting any more time, Yu Holea flicked the talisman on that entity.
A burst of brilliant light erupted from the Exorcism Talisman.
The protective runes inscribed on the talismans she wielded flared to life, creating a shimmering barrier that enveloped her and Junjie.
The entity recoiled from the radiant energy, its form writhing and distorting in response to the talisman’s power.
"You dare to challenge me with such feeble magic?" the entity spat, its voice a mixture of rage and disbelief.
Yu Holea knew that the power of the exorcism talisman had decreased since she couldn’t materialize the talisman in the Dream Realm perfectly.
Only 1% of energy could be used in the dream realm.
Hence the entity thought that her mystic energy was weak.
However, Yu Holea didn’t correct it.
In her heart, she was sure that the entity that was harming Junjie and the ghost that had visited her wasn’t the same.
What a coincidence she had such a dream, and Junjie was too trapped in the dream...how strange...
This entity was a puppet, a distraction. The real threat was still out there, and Yu Holea knew she had to act swiftly.
"Weak or not, it’s enough to deal with you," Yu Holea replied, her voice calm
The entity snarled, its form shifting into a more menacing shape, shadows twisting and darkening.
"Your confidence will be your downfall," it hissed, launching another attack.
Yu Holea deftly dodged the tendrils of darkness, flicking another talisman toward the entity.
This time, it was a Binding Talisman, designed to restrict and weaken malevolent forces. Even if it was at a fraction of its full power, it could buy her the time she needed.
The talisman glowed as it latched onto the entity, causing it to falter and convulse.
The dark tendrils weakened, loosening their grip on Junjie. He gasped, taking in deep breaths as the pressure around him eased.
Yu Holea swiftly used her mystic energy to break the tendrils, her hands glowing with a soft, ethereal light.
The tendrils disintegrated under her touch, freeing Junjie completely.
Junjie staggered, but Yu Holea steadied him with a firm grip.
"Stay strong," she whispered, her eyes never leaving the entity.
The entity roared in fury, its form flickering as it struggled against the Binding Talisman.
"You think you can defy me?" it spat, but its voice was losing its edge, sounding more desperate.
Yu Holea ignored the taunt, focusing on the next step. She knew that binding the entity wasn’t enough; she needed to entirely expel it from Junjie’s dream.
Drawing on the last of her strengths, she prepared another talisman, a Banishment Talisman.
The Banishment Talisman was powerful but required a precise incantation to activate fully.
Yu Holea began to chant, her voice steady and clear despite the strain she felt. The talisman in her hand started to glow, its runes shining with a brilliant light.
The entity’s eyes widened with recognition and fear. "No!" it shrieked, its form starting to disintegrate.
"This isn’t over! You haven’t seen the last of me!"
With a final, defiant roar, the entity was enveloped by the light from the Banishment Talisman.
It let out a piercing scream as it was torn from the dream realm, its dark presence dissipating into nothingness.
The dream realm stabilized, the oppressive darkness lifting and giving way to a serene, twilight landscape.
Junjie’s soul suddenly started to lighten and before Yu Holea could take action, Junjie said,
"Thank you for freeing my soul. For days I was trapped in an endless nightmare, unable to escape."
Yu Holea raised an eyebrow,
"You are returning to your body?"
"Yes. I can’t remember your face, so please tell me your name. One day when the ghost stops harassing me, I will come to meet you and thank you in person." Junjie said in a gentle voice.
"Don’t worry by the time you wake up, you will know it anyway." Yu Holea said.
The dream realm continued to stabilize, the serene twilight landscape becoming more defined and peaceful.
Junjie’s form grew brighter, a sign that his soul was reintegrating with his physical body.
"Rest now, Junjie," Yu Holea said softly. "When you wake, you’ll be free of this nightmare."
Junjie nodded, his eyes reflecting gratitude and relief. "Thank you."
With those final words, the dream realm dissolved around them, and Yu Holea found herself back in the dimly lit room.
Junjie’s body lay still but peaceful, his breathing steady and calm. The oppressive atmosphere had lifted, replaced with a sense of tranquility.
Mr. and Mrs. Zhao rushed to their son’s side, their faces filled with hope and worry. When they saw Yu Holea, they looked to her for answers.
"Master Yu, how is he?" Mrs. Zhao asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
In the past 1 hour, they watched with their own eyes how their son’s face changed from pain to relief and they realized how much they had neglected their son.
Turns out, not only their son was harmed physically but also mentally!
Mrs. Zhao was grateful that Yu Holea was able to deduce their son’s suffering and help him.
Yu Holea was feeling a bit dizzy.
She extended her arms towards the mug and Mr. Zhao instantly gave Yu Holea a glass od water, at the same time he glared at Mrs. Zhao.
Mrs. Zhao felt a bit ashamed.
How could she overlook Master Yu’s health? Even though she was worried about her son’s health, she shouldn’t be so harsh on Master Yu, right?
After drinking the water, Yu Holea said,
"He is alright for now and no ghost will possess him till he stays in his room."
Now that Yu Holea had destroyed the entity trapping Zhao Junjie’s soul in the dream realm, she was sure that no one could harm him.
After all her talismans were capable of protecting Zhao Junjie’s physical body and now that his mind has broken through the trap too, Zhao Junjie won’t be in any grave danger.
But...
Yu Holea shifted her gaze to Mrs. Zhao and said,
"I can’t guarantee that the ghost will not attack you and Mr. Zhao."
Mrs. Zhao’s eyes widened in fear. "What do you mean?"
"The entity that was harming Junjie was a puppet, a distraction. The real threat is still out there," Yu Holea explained.
"It might target you or Mr. Zhao next. You need to be vigilant and protect yourselves."
Mr. Zhao’s face hardened with resolve.
"What can we do to protect ourselves, Master Yu?"
Yu Holea thought for a moment.
"I will leave you with protective talismans for your home. Place them at all entrances and in your bedrooms. Additionally, I will perform a cleansing ritual to rid your home of any lingering malevolent energy."
Saying so she passed the talismans.
"Just flick them to activate them and keep 2 with you all the time."
Then she walked towards the living room. On the way she met the maid whom she had met before entering Zhao Junjie’s room.
After knowing that Yu Hoela indeed treated their young master, the maid didn’t dare to look at Yu Holea.
She was worried that Yu Holea would ask Mr. Zhao to fire her.
Not that she would resent her.
In her view, Yu Holea was a Top-Class Celestial Master and just word from her would be enough to fire her.
However, she can’t leave!
Hence the maid started to think of various ways to apologize to Yu Holea.
Beg? Or kneel in front of her?
Yet Yu Holea bypassed her as if she didn’t even see her.
This stunned the maid and she couldn’t help but feel joyful.
Yu Holea’s aloof image in her heart directly changed to a high mighty and kind person.
Unaware of the changes in the maid’s way of thinking, Yu Holea simply, walked towards the center of the living room and started to chant.
A blue ethereal light began to form around her, creating a circle of protective energy.
The light grew brighter and expanded, filling the room with a calming presence.
As Yu Holea chanted, the atmosphere in the house shifted.
The oppressive energy that had lingered was being cleansed, replaced with a sense of peace and purity.
After completing the cleansing ritual, Yu Holea lowered her hands and took a deep breath.
"The cleansing is done," she said, turning to face the Zhaos.
"However this is only a temporary solution, if you want to completely eradicate the threat, you need to tell me the backstory. I will leave for now."
Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Zhao nodded after dropping Yu Holea out, both of them said at the same time,
"Let’s not hide it. It won’t do us any good!"
"Let’s tell her!"
