Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 450: Hardships
Chapter 450: Chapter 450: Hardships
Mrs. Yu was more concerned about Yu Holea’s well-being. She didn’t want her daughter to blame herself if something went wrong.
What if she loses her confidence and never touches the needles again?
From Yu Holea’s action just now, Mrs. Yu concluded that Yu Holea might be interested in becoming a doctor and has learned a few tricks.
Thinking about Yu Holea’s cute actions and her serious face, Mrs. Yu wanted to encourage her to become a doctor.
However, the premise was, that Yu Holea had taken training.
Without training, if she tried and failed then Yu Holea would be disappointed.
Seeing Mrs. Yu’s distress, Yu Holea softened her approach,
"Don’t worry, I have learned a thing or two from an Old Man who used to live behind the house I used to live in the village."
Outside the room.
A few of the maids were peeking inside the room and commented,
"Did you see that? Miss Holea is using needles. Is she really going to perform acupuncture?"
"I’ve never seen a 16-year-old performing acupuncture before. Is it safe? What if something goes wrong?"
"I heard her mention learning from an old man in the village. Do you think she really knows what she’s doing?"
"Miss Holea is always so determined. I trust she wouldn’t do anything if she wasn’t sure about it."
"But what if she’s wrong? What if she hurts Mrs. Yu by mistake?"
"We should keep an eye on them, just in case."
Inside.
Due to her exceptional hearing skills, Yu Holea was able to hear the conversation between the maids.
Mrs. Yu on the other hand hesitated for a long time before finally gritting her teeth and saying,
"Alright! I am ready. But if something happens to me..."
Yu Holea thought that Mrs. Yu was concerned about side effects,
"Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen."
Mrs. Yu interrupted and said,
"Even if something happens to me, don’t blame yourself. When you become an exceptional doctor someday, you will know that today’s failure was just a step in your journey. Remember that, okay?"
Yu Holea was amused and a bit touched.
She understood that even though Mrs. Yud didn’t trust her skills, instead of worrying about her body, she was more worried about Yu Holea’s mental health.
Mrs. Yu wasn’t that bad once she was not under Yu Mei’s control.
"Just trust me this once." Yu Holea softly said and Mrs. Yu finally laid on the bed and closed her eyes.
Her body was tense and she looked as if she was about to face death.
In fact, in Mrs. Yu’s mind, she was indeed thinking that she was about to either get injured or worst case scenario, suffer even more pain.
But she can’t bear to see disappointment in Yu Holea’s eyes and hence she swore that she would not make any noise even if she was in extreme pain.
Yu Holea approached Mrs. Yu with the needles in hand, her expression calm and focused.
She carefully inserted the first needle, her movements precise and practiced.
Mrs. Yu flinched slightly but remained silent, determined not to discourage her daughter.
Outside the room, the maids continued their hushed conversation.
"She’s doing it! Do you think it’ll work?"
"I don’t know, but Miss Holea looks so confident. Maybe she does know what she’s doing."
"I just hope Mrs. Yu will be okay."
Inside, Yu Holea moved on to the next acupoint, her concentration unwavering.
As she inserted each needle, she monitored Mrs. Yu’s reactions closely, making sure to adjust her technique as needed.
After a few minutes, Mrs. Yu began to feel a noticeable reduction in pain.
Her fear slowly turned into shock, followed by joy.
Seeing Yu Holea’s swift action, all the maids outside the room couldn’t contain their surprise and admiration.
"Look at Mrs. Yu’s face! She looks so relieved."
"I can’t believe it. Miss Holea knows what she’s doing."
"Maybe she did learn something useful from that old man."
"She might have a real talent for this."
Inside, Mrs. Yu’s eyes were wide with amazement.
"Lea, the pain... it’s getting better," she said, her voice filled with wonder.
Yu Holea smiled softly.
"I’m glad to hear that. Just relax and let the needles do their work."
Mrs. Yu nodded.
Yu Holea continued with the acupuncture, her movements steady and confident. Each needle was placed with care, and soon Mrs. Yu’s pain was almost completely gone.
She felt a warmth spread through her body, easing the discomfort she had been enduring for so long.
The maids outside whispered among themselves, unable to tear their eyes away from the scene.
"Miss Holea is incredible. I never knew she had such a talent."
"We should tell everyone how skilled she is. This is amazing."
"We definitely underestimated her. She might be even better than some trained doctors."
"Hey, I always thought that Miss Mei was talented enough, but seeing Miss Holea’s talent I think she is just a small fry!"
Inside, Yu Holea finished the acupuncture session, gently removing the needles and massaging the areas around the acupoints to ensure Mrs. Yu felt completely at ease.
"How do you feel now?" Yu Holea asked, her tone gentle and caring.
Mrs. Yu opened her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips.
"Much better, Lea. Thank you. "
Mrs. Yu was touched by Yu Holea’s care and felt proud thinking how her daughter was so talented!
At the same time, she felt a pang of sadness when she looked at Yu Holea’s innocent face.
If only...her daughter hadn’t swapped at birth, Yu Holea wouldn’t have had to suffer so much during her childhood years.
Even though Yu Holea mentioned that she had learned the skill in the passing of time, medicine and acupuncture weren’t a thing that could be learned without suffering.
One has to sharpen their memory, be persistent, and even practice the same thing time and time again...
Not to mention, Yu Holea in her past 15 years of life only suffered.
Mrs. Yu never knew about the exact details but from her elder son’s description, Yu Holea had suffered a lot.
Suddenly Mrs. Yu thought of Yu Mei. That girl lived in their luxurious mansion surrounded by wealth and comfort, receiving the best education and care.
Yet here was Yu Holea, having faced countless hardships, still managing to excel and show such talent.
But what made her angry was how due to Yu Mei, she talked coldly with her own daughter because of Yu Mei.
Mrs. Yu’s heart ached.
How sad Yu Holea was that time when she was kicked out?
She suffered so much and when she thought that she would finally receive some warmth, her family made her suffer even more...
"Lea."
"Yes?" Yu Holea acknowledges her while sterilizing the needles and putting them back in the box.
"I am sorry." Mrs. Yu said with tears in her eyes.
Yu Holea froze for a second.
Her heart suddenly felt a twitch.
She suddenly felt a strange gloom overwhelming her.
Was this the original body owner’s emotion?
Yu Holea blinked when she realized that her vision was turning blurry and she felt helpless.
Taking deep breaths and trying to steady herself, Yu Holea managed to keep her emotions in check. She carefully finished cleaning and storing the needles before turning back to Mrs. Yu.
"You don’t need to apologize," Yu Holea said softly, though her voice trembled slightly. "It’s not your fault."
Mrs. Yu felt bitter.
On the surface, it may seem that Yu Holea wasn’t angry. But in reality, neither Yu Holea addressed her as a mother, nor did she say that she had forgiven her.
Mrs. Yu’s heart ached as she watched her daughter’s composed yet distant demeanor.
She realized that the pain and resentment Yu Holea harbored couldn’t be easily erased by a single apology.
"Lea, I know I can’t undo the past, but I want to make things right. Please give me a chance," Mrs. Yu pleaded, her voice sincere and full of regret.
Yu Holea wanted to decline. She wasn’t the original owner. However, when she opened her mouth to decline she realized, the words wouldn’t come out.
She could only smile and say,
"Rest properly."
Outside the room, the maids continued to watch, their initial skepticism completely dissolved.
They exchanged glances, each silently agreeing to spread the word about Yu Holea’s talents and dedication.
"She’s going to be a wonderful doctor one day," one maid whispered.
"Indeed," another agreed. "We should support her and let everyone know about her skills."
"For some reason, I am feeling sad for Miss Holea."
"Me too."
"Hey, she is coming out, let’s leave before she catches us."
"Yes!"
With that the maids left hurriedly, unaware that Yu Holea had heard their entire conversation. However, Yu Holea simply chose to act as if she hadn’t heard them.
Returning to her room, she soon fell asleep.
At midnight a shadow suddenly arrived at the window of Yu Holea’s room.
