Chapter 21: Jiang Feng Didn’t Want to Remarry—An Enraged Xu Na!
“Teacher Rong Shuang, Daddy, let’s all take a nap together!”
Jiang Feng didn’t spare Xu Na any courtesy.
Xu Na was momentarily stunned by his scolding.
Was this the same easygoing Jiang Feng???
A surge of anger rushed to her head, and she instinctively wanted to lash out. But after typing out the words, she deleted them.
Jiang Feng wasn’t that penniless loser anymore.
With a monthly income of 200,000, even in the capital, he was undeniably high-earning!
She replied: “Next time, you and Youyou can meet with me—just the three of us.”
In her mind, Jiang Feng must still want to remarry her.
So, they’d meet.
If he was willing to hand over the shop’s operations to her while he just worked, she might even give him another chance.
However—
Jiang Feng instantly replied: “No.”
Xu Na was taken aback.
Didn’t Jiang Feng want to remarry her?!
Why wouldn’t he meet her?!
Had she misread the situation?
She sent another message: “You don’t even want to see me once? Is it really that bad?”
After reading it, Jiang Feng didn’t bother responding.
He’d already said everything he needed to.
If not for his obligation as Youyou’s father to facilitate Xu Na’s visitation rights, he would’ve deleted her long ago.
Xu Na waited several minutes but got no reply. Only then did she accept the truth—
Jiang Feng had never even considered remarrying her!
Xu Na was furious!
She had been the one to file for divorce, but the fact that Jiang Feng hadn’t thought about reconciliation infuriated her!
“Making a little money and suddenly thinking you’re hot stuff!”
“I refuse to believe I can’t find someone better than you!”
“You’ll never find anyone better than me! Just wait—you’ll see!”
She screamed a few curses in her car before calming down and driving off.
Meanwhile, back at Jiang Feng’s shop—
Jiang Youyou had stopped crying.
“Daddy, Teacher Rong Shuang, I’m hungry.”
She looked up at Jiang Feng, her eyes red and swollen like peaches.
Jiang Feng asked, “Should I buy you something? Do you want noodles from Uncle Cui’s place?”
Jiang Youyou shook her head.
Rong Shuang offered, “Then let me treat you. Here’s my phone—pick whatever you want to eat.”
She handed her phone to Jiang Youyou.
But the little girl clung to Rong Shuang’s arm and looked at Jiang Feng.
“I want to eat the food you make, Daddy.”
“Then I’ll go buy groceries.”
The shop’s ingredients were all used up. The last of the buns and porridge had been Jiang Feng and Rong Shuang’s lunch.
Jiang Feng didn’t mind the trouble—he planned to buy some ingredients and borrow a neighbor’s kitchen to cook a meal for Youyou.
“Let’s go home to eat. And bring Teacher Rong Shuang with us.”
Jiang Feng thought for a moment, then nodded.
“Alright. Once I finish cleaning up here, we’ll all go back together.”
It made sense.
He could nap in the shop alone, but with Rong Shuang and Youyou, it was better to go home.
There was a spare room at home—perfect for Rong Shuang to rest in.
Rong Shuang stood up and walked over to Jiang Feng.
“I’ll clean up. You go spend time with Youyou.”
Jiang Feng had been working nonstop all morning.
He was exhausted.
Her heart ached for him.
Besides, she was just Youyou’s teacher—it was better for Jiang Feng to comfort her.
But Jiang Youyou trotted over and said, “You two clean up together. I’ll supervise.”
“Hurry up, so we can go home!”
Jiang Feng and Rong Shuang both laughed, exchanging a glance.
Rong Shuang’s stunning face flushed slightly. She lowered her head, her long hair covering half her face—leaving only a delicate jawline and soft lips visible to Jiang Feng.
She was truly beautiful.
Jiang Feng also looked down and got back to work.
Soon, the shop was tidied up.
The three of them headed home together.
At the supermarket downstairs, Jiang Feng bought three tomatoes and half a pound of noodles.
Back home, he cooked tomato egg noodles for Youyou.
Even without the system’s enhancement, Jiang Feng’s cooking was delicious.
The tomatoes were stir-fried perfectly, their acidity mellowed, the broth rich and appetizing.
“Wow, it smells amazing!”
“Way better than sushi!”
“Daddy’s food is the best!”
Jiang Feng smiled as he watched Youyou eat.
Rong Shuang, meanwhile, stole glances at him.
She loved his smile—it made her feel safe.
She was falling harder.
Should she make a move?
But what if Jiang Feng still had feelings for his ex-wife?
They had been married for years…
Lost in thought, she stared at Jiang Feng until he turned and met her gaze.
Flustered, she pretended to look elsewhere, lightly touching her slender neck.
With a full stomach, Jiang Youyou finally relaxed.
“Teacher Rong, have some water.”
While waiting for Youyou to finish eating, Jiang Feng poured Rong Shuang a glass of warm water.
“Thank you.”
“No need to be polite.”
After eating, Jiang Youyou suddenly said:
“Daddy, Teacher Rong Shuang, can you both nap with me?”
“I’m sleepy.”
“No!” Jiang Feng refused outright.
This kid was pushing it!
Both of them napping together?!
The moment she felt a little better, she was already scheming again!
Jiang Youyou tried to pout pitifully, but Jiang Feng flicked her forehead, making her behave.
“Fine, no group nap. I’ll sleep in the small room. You two take the big one.”
She waved her hand dismissively, as if to say, “I’m a big kid—I get it, don’t mind me.”
??
With a red mark on each side of her forehead, Jiang Youyou followed Jiang Feng into the master bedroom.
Rong Shuang chuckled before heading to the guest room.
The room was simple—just a bed with a dark blue sheet.
She lay down and checked her phone.
Tang Hemei had sent several messages:
“[Picture]”
“This takeout is awful! Can you bring me some buns? I’ll die without your man’s cooking.”
“Hurry up and snag him so he can feed us.”
“Oh, and bring 10 extra buns tonight—5 beef, 5 chive and egg.”
Rong Shuang replied: “I don’t like him just so he’ll cook for us.”
Her feelings were genuine.
Tang Hemei fired back:
“Okay, okay, we get it—you’re a devoted wife already, and you’re not even together yet.”
“After raising you all these years, now your heart belongs to another man.”
Rong Shuang: “No buns for you.”
Tang Hemei: “Dad, I was wrong!”
“I fully support your mission to seduce him!”
Rong Shuang stretched, her fair toes curling slightly.
She turned on her side, her silky hair spilling over the sheets.
The bedding carried a faint, familiar scent—the same as Jiang Feng and Youyou’s clothes.
It was nice.
If only things could stay like this forever.
Holding a corner of the sheet, she soon drifted off.
2 PM.
Jiang Feng woke up to prepare for the afternoon.
He had planned to leave Youyou and Rong Shuang at home, but the moment he stirred, Youyou woke up too.
When he stepped out, he saw Rong Shuang placing a glass of water on the coffee table.
Neither of them needed to be called—they had woken up early, wanting to accompany him.
Spotting Jiang Feng, she walked over and handed him the water.
“Have a drink.”
Her voice was soft.
After finishing the water and getting ready, the three set out together.
Once they returned with supplies and reached the shop, Jiang Feng noticed a few people loitering near the entrance.
When they saw him, they quickly left.
Jiang Youyou instantly grew wary: “Daddy, were they trying to steal something?”
Cui Hao stepped out and said, “No, I know them—they’re shop owners from this street.”
“Probably here to check out your layout, trying to copy you.”
