Chapter 1599: Chapter 1160: 4 Star Gods Surrounding Him

Emre was plunged into a state of shock and absurdity, a feeling akin to watching someone about to walk straight into a ditch. You scream desperately, "Turn around, turn around, quickly turn around!" only for them to take their head off and throw it away instead.

Originally, he believed that with the group damage sharing of the Holy Spirit, he should be invincible. Because of this, he had not taken the Little Angel seriously. Something akin to a Combat Retainer of the Lord of Light posed no threat to him. He even kindly encouraged the opponent to go home.

A rather ordinary Light Feather, a seemingly simple lock of gaze, yet it made Emre feel absurdity. This relentless torrent of damage came crashing down like a torrential rain—impossible to evade, absurd to the extreme. Even the activation of the group damage sharing could do nothing to stop it. The enemy’s Light Feathers simply wouldn’t stop.

No words were exchanged—he ran.

Emre turned and bolted, but the Heroic Spirit attached to him lagged just half a body behind, maintaining its face toward the enemy and raising a shield to block the Light Feathers.

Da-da-da-da-da... It sounded like raindrops striking a door or knocking on a rooftop. The shield raised by the Heroic Spirit kept shattering, reforming, shattering, and reforming again, repeating this cycle more than a dozen times. Emre realized that he had failed to widen the distance between himself and the enemy.

Competing for speed in the Void against an enemy with wings, Emre held no advantage whatsoever.

He couldn’t take the damage head-on, and he couldn’t outrun it. Emre suddenly pivoted and swung his Longsword toward the Little Angel.

As he swung the sword, Emre’s gaze caught sight of something peculiar—the fractured parts of the Longsword seemed to be regenerating. It was repairing itself? At this rate, give it two days, and the damaged sections should completely restore themselves.

"It really is a Divine Artifact!" Emre shouted in astonishment. Guided by the Longsword, his body surged forward, cutting through the barrage of Light Feathers as he charged toward the Little Angel.

Negris, who had been idly commenting at the time about such Divine Artifacts, asked in confusion, "Since when did you start dealing in this kind of business? Counterfeit Divine Artifacts? Aren’t you afraid of ruining your reputation?"

Although Silver Coin was notoriously considered a profiteer, he actually placed great importance on commercial integrity. He would never sell inferior goods as premium or deal in counterfeits. Selling fake products was absolutely not something his Commerce Guild would ever do.

On most matters, he could tolerate a lot, but such an accusation enraged Silver Coin immediately. "What counterfeit Divine Artifacts? This is a genuine Divine Artifact, mind you. Blessed by the Goddess of Dawn! Don’t talk nonsense, or I’ll sue you for defamation."

Negris retorted sarcastically, "Explain this to me—a deity who oversees marriage—how exactly does she bless a sword? Wishing it a happy marriage? Pairing it with another sword? Or pairing it with a sheath? A blessing for armor would make more sense; after all, she has her Wall of Dawn."

Silver Coin replied, "Obviously, to repair cracks. The Goddess of Dawn’s blessing can heal the rifts in marriage. Every bowl, ladle, or clay pot blessed by her—bed frames, tables, chairs too—those are all symbols of marriage. Even if they crack, they can slowly repair themselves. Naturally, weapons and armor also benefit from this blessing."

"Huh? Auto-repair? That Dawn deity has this kind of ability? You could really call this a Divine Artifact, then," Negris said in surprise.

"Exactly. I’ve always said that her Divine Techniques being wasted without her becoming a blacksmith is a shame, so now she actually is forging," Silver Coin confirmed.

Negris widened his eyes in disbelief. "Forging? She’s gone to forge weapons? Seriously?"

"Yes, I even set up a forgeworks for her. I must say, her Wall of Dawn makes the hardest hammer," Silver Coin added.

"The Dawn Temple is now managed by Faradi. Lisa suggested they open a matchmaking agency, then hire bards, composers, playwrights, and performing troupes to create a series of marriage and love-themed works centered around the Temple of the Dawn Goddess. It’s been very popular," Silver Coin explained some of the peripheral projects involving their team members.

Really? Negris was flabbergasted. "Faradi can handle all that?"

"Why not? The Dawn Temple hardly involves the actual Dawn Goddess anymore as long as she doesn’t mess things up," Silver Coin remarked disdainfully.

The Goddess of Dawn was practically the least useful person in the entire Dawn Temple. Her absence, even for blacksmithing, wouldn’t impact the temple’s functioning.

The Goddess of Dawn was still confined in the Endless Cage, and it was Faradi who kept the temple running. Without Faradi tirelessly matchmaking and connecting people, the Goddess of Dawn would have long since run out of Divine Power.

"Speaking of which, have there been any leads on those Crystal Wall Mages—the People of the Boundless?" Negris asked.

Almost forgot about them. Back when they had rescued the Goddess of Dawn, they had encountered those Crystal Wall Mages, People of the Boundless. They never showed up again afterward. Those mages could sacrifice their lives to nurture Plane Consciousness and even create Endless Cage-like spatial transformation boundaries. No matter their technological prowess or power level, they were not to be underestimated.

Anthony knew more about this topic since all intelligence, including what Silver Coin gathered, would eventually pool in his hands. Anthony remarked, "No leads. It’s as if they vanished into thin air. Who knows whether they’re deliberately hiding or if very few of them remain."

Negris nodded indifferently. Even if those Crystal Wall Mages could sacrifice themselves to amplify Plane Consciousness, so what? These days, who didn’t have access to Plane Consciousness?

With Little Sapling, Little Ghost, and Kram present, even Plane Consciousness would just end up getting ganged up on.

Just at that moment, Anthony suddenly exclaimed, "Okay, the swordsman is going all out now! He’s unleashed his power, swinging the Longsword to sweep away the Light Feathers. His Sword Technique is remarkable! He’s carved out a path and is closing in on the Little Angel. Bold move! He’s getting closer, closer—it’s a remarkable decision—but oh no, here it comes again! The Little Angel struck him in the eye!"

Although they were chatting idly, in truth, everyone’s attention was focused on the battlefield. At critical moments, they instantly snapped back to the topic at hand. When encountering an ingenious maneuver, Anthony would even offer commentary, fearing that those without martial technique expertise might miss out on the finesse.

As Emre thrust his Longsword forward, its tip trembled constantly, swatting away Light Feathers one after another. Through sheer precision, he cut out a pathway to close in on the Little Angel.

In this context, his counterplay was undoubtedly ingenious, though highly challenging to execute—akin to deflecting raindrops mid-fall with a sword during a storm. It was a testament to Emre’s exceptional martial technique.

Of course, it was impossible to deflect every single Feather, but the few that slipped through weren’t enough to break through his Heroic Spirit’s defense. Sadly, closing in on the Little Angel wasn’t necessarily the best idea.

The Little Angel used Flame Feather Bullets not because she excelled in ranged attacks but because Ange had forbidden her from killing. If the enemy approached for melee combat, it suited her just fine. Her opening move—Friendship Smiling Fist.

This wasn’t the same level of power she used against Negris. Emre took a punch straight to the eye socket so forcefully that his Heroic Spirit almost got blown away. Just as he managed to stabilize himself, the Little Angel was already in his face, her tiny fists raining down in rapid succession.

Group damage sharing had its limits—when the damage exceeded the threshold, it could no longer redistribute. The Little Angel’s punches easily surpassed that limit. Though Emre’s martial technique was outstanding, after parrying dozens of punches, his Heroic Spirit’s defense was shattered, and a wing slap left him unconscious.

His Origin Fighting Spirit, under the overwhelming Holy Power, was rendered entirely impotent—like an immortal ember facing a typhoon. No matter how high its level, it was utterly futile.

When he finally woke up, he shuddered as he opened his eyes, only to find four Star Gods encircling him, bending down to examine him with great curiosity.
