Chapter 1277: Chapter 1277: A Promise is an Important Thing

Jasmine Yale wouldn’t let him ask, so he just had not to inquire any further.

"Then, Jasy, shall we go sit on the swing? Daddy made it by hand for baby, there are two of them."

"Two?"

Jasmine Yale didn’t understand why there were two.

"Yes, two, a big one and a small one. It’s perfect for you, Jasy, to sit on the big one, and the small one is for me."

Saying this, Chale Cheney took Jasmine Yale’s hand and they went out.

Jasmine Yale left her knitting behind and followed him down to the swings.

The swings, side by side, were indeed one big and one small.

Jasmine Yale first helped Chale Cheney up, then carefully sat herself down.

"Slow down, be careful, don’t fall off." Jasmine Yale said worriedly.

"I won’t swing. I’ll just sit and bask in the sun with Jasy, and we can chat." The little one’s pure eyes sparkled brightly under the sun.

Chale Cheney really didn’t move erratically; he asked the servant to bring a basket of fruits and placed it beside the swing.

The little guy casually peeled an orange for Jasmine Yale: "Jasy, here!"

Under the sunlight, the little one’s dark hair shone with a silvery brightness.

Jasmine Yale gazed at his little face, somewhat mesmerized.

Chale Cheney was very sensible.

Jasmine Yale was really grateful to Sylvan Cheney for not spoiling Chale into a pampered child; she liked him, the way he was.

With Sylvan Cheney around, Chale Cheney would surely become even better in the future.

After eating the orange Chale Cheney gave her, Jasmine Yale’s eyes curved into crescent moons.

"Jasy, bring Sweet Kitty next time; baby hasn’t seen it for a long time."

"Sweet Kitty has gained weight. When Jasy goes back, I’ll take a picture for you."

Winter was the perfect time to bask in the sun and chat.

The warm sunshine fell on their clothes, making them feel all warm and cozy.

The garden’s flowers and trees released a fresh fragrance. The vast estate looked peaceful and serene, the residential area resembled a palatial, imposing palace.

The sunshine, like shattered gold, cascaded down in layers, sifting through the gaps in the branches, and on the ground, it interwove into a chaotic painting of the scenery.

...

Such peaceful days were always very brief.

Jasmine Yale eventually had to return to Cakago.

On the morning of the day she was leaving, she helped Chale Cheney put on his clothes and shoes and tied his shoelaces.

"Jasy, can you not go?" Chale Cheney looked at Jasmine Yale with teary eyes, they hadn’t been together for long.

"I can’t, you also said to be serious. So Jasy has to go back to school, and you in Lonton must also be obedient, listen to your teachers and Aunt Lilac, understand?" she patiently tied his shoelaces.

"I understand," Chale Cheney’s voice lowered as he nodded.

"Little Chale is the best behaved."

"When will you come again? Will it be like last year when you didn’t come for a whole year?"

Jasmine Yale choked up.

She didn’t know how to respond to Chale Cheney right away.

She had always known that promises were important, that what was promised must be fulfilled.

So... she didn’t know how to make a promise to a child.

What if she couldn’t fulfill it.

After a long moment, she finally looked into Chale Cheney’s beautiful big eyes and smiled, "Jasy will come whenever she has time, okay?"

"Okay!"

Just then, Jasmine Yale’s phone rang; she looked down and saw it was Yukon Carbon.

"Jasy will answer a call."

Saying that, Jasmine Yale hurriedly walked towards the balcony.

"Yukon."

"Is today’s flight coming back? I hope I didn’t disturb you?"

"Yes, today’s flight back. I haven’t gone to the airport yet."
