Chapter 1260: Chapter 1260: Did Not Abort the Baby
The next morning.
The fog was thick, both damp and cold.
Aunt Waverly had breakfast ready early, and Jasmine Yale was awakened by Little Candy’s crying.
"Miss Yale, it’s time to wake up," Aunt Waverly greeted.
"Oh, Jasmine, did the little one wake you up?" Ann Nolan was holding the baby on the balcony.
The outside world must have seemed fascinating to the little one, who stopped crying immediately upon standing by the window, her big eyes wide and shiny.
She reached out her little paws, trying to touch the cold glass.
Ann Nolan quickly grabbed her hand.
"No, it’s not early. Little Candy’s awake, so of course I can’t stay in bed."
"Zachary Santos is coming over in a bit to join us for breakfast," Ann said.
"Sure," Jasmine Yale stretched out her hand, "let me hold her."
"Little Candy, let Auntie hold you," Ann Nolan passed the little one into Jasmine Yale’s arms.
The little one wasn’t crying anymore; her eyelashes still had droplets on them. She kept looking at Jasmine Yale and giggling.
"Little Candy really likes you. You’ll have to come to Old York more often."
"Sure, as long as I’m not a bother," Jasmine Yale pinched the little one’s chubby cheeks, which were soft and cute.
"Do you have any plans for the New Year? Are you going to be with Mr. Carbon in Cakago?"
"Chale Cheney called me yesterday; I plan to go to Lonton to spend the New Year with him."
"Is it... Little Chale Cheney by himself in Lonton?" Ann Nolan felt something was amiss, "If you go there, will it..."
Jasmine Yale knew her concern: "He’s with his master in Lonton, no one else."
Ann Nolan nodded, then dropped the subject.
That seemed alright.
Shortly after, Evan Guerrero arrived.
Aunt Waverly served them a sumptuous breakfast of buns, steamed dumplings, and porridge... it all looked delicious.
"Ann, Yukon said he’d take me to the park for a walk after breakfast," Jasmine Yale said.
"All right, remember to come over for lunch and bring Mr. Carbon with you," Ann Nolan said with a smile.
She knew that ever since Jasmine Yale had broken up with Sylvan Cheney, she hadn’t been in much contact, especially in Cakago where her life had completely changed.
In Old York, where she frequently met Yukon Carbon, she knew he was good-tempered, gentle, and considerate—such a man was very suitable as a boyfriend.
Yukon Carbon and Sylvan Cheney were also utterly different people.
She had compared them in her heart and felt that Jasmine Yale and Yukon Carbon might be more suitable for each other.
But her thoughts couldn’t represent Jasmine Yale’s, and whoever Jasmine Yale liked or was with, Ann Nolan would support her.
"Ann, what’s Little Candy’s full name? Have you decided?" Jasmine Yale asked, sipping milk and looking at the little one in Aunt Waverly’s arms.
The little one was playing with a fabric doll, wearing a silver bracelet that she had bought for her.
"Yara Nolan," Ann Nolan had decided, looking gently at her little daughter.
The little one was too adorable, adorable to the point where Ann thanked her lucky stars every day that she hadn’t gone through with an abortion.
Similarly, she was deeply grateful for the man sitting beside her at this moment.
"That’s a beautiful name."
"When you get married, Jasmine, I guess she’ll be able to ’help out,’" Ann Nolan joked.
After a while, Little Candy stopped playing and felt hungry, waving at Ann Nolan with her brows furrowed tightly, as if she was about to cry out loud.
Knowing that this meant she was hungry, Ann Nolan had no choice but to put down her chopsticks apologetically, "I need to feed her."
With that, Ann Nolan carried Little Candy to the bedroom, followed by Aunt Waverly.
At the dining table, only Jasmine Yale and Zachary Santos were left.
