Chapter 1195: Chapter 1195: A Kiss Won’t Give You a Cold

What was he trying to do again?

She remembered Grandfather Santos saying that establishing a family and settling down was one condition for him to consider handing over the Santos Family business to Zaiden.

It was part of the conditions.

Some time ago when she visited Grandfather Santos’ villa, he also asked her why they didn’t yet have a child.

Having a child eh, things would be different, the house would be filled with laughter.

When she felt lonely, she would have the children there with her.

She remembered she had smiled and declined Grandfather Santos’ suggestion, "Grandfather, we don’t want to have children just yet, we’ll think about it after the New Year, Zaiden is busy these days, and I am too."

Grandfather Santos was always doting on her, he believed whatever she said.

Right then, Grandfather Santos did not press her further, he even said, "No rush, no rush."

She didn’t know how long she could keep making excuses.

Now, Zaiden suddenly bringing up children made her shudder, scaring her considerably.

Her heart pounded wildly, panicking, her pupils drowning in a deep ocean.

She weakly pushed him away, her voice trembling, "Don’t joke about this with me, I couldn’t possibly have your child."

How could she allow herself to have his child?

"Scared like this? It was just a joke," Zaiden Santos scoffed coldly.

"Can you fucking not joke about this with me? I’m not someone you joke with."

"Ann, you’re really boring."

"I was never interesting to begin with, is this your first day meeting me? Go find someone interesting, can you?"

"Ann, I’ll be staying in Landon for three days, and during these days, I’ll stay here."

"If you aren’t afraid our relationship will get exposed, then stay."

"Don’t you ever care about me?" Zaiden Santos angrily grabbed her wrist, pulling her close, his hot breath flushing over her face, "I have a cold, don’t you know?"

Saying this, Zaiden coughed twice.

Ann had heard him coughing earlier in the afternoon but simply didn’t bother asking.

She couldn’t be bothered to ask about anything concerning him now.

"If you have a cold, then stay away from me, don’t get me sick."

"Ann!"

Angry in the darkness, he pinned her down, turned his head, and his kiss landed precisely on her lips.

Ann instinctively closed her eyes; she couldn’t see his expression, only feeling the force of his anger.

He was very angry.

Ann equally didn’t understand why he was angry, what was there to be angry about?

Was there a problem with what she said?

He had a cold, why couldn’t he be more considerate? Why would he kiss her?

She grew angry too and pushed against his shoulders.

His breath, heavy with the scent of tobacco mixed with his own smell, lingered around her lips.

Ann was familiar with it yet also greatly repelled by it.

She frowned deeply and pushed him hard.

This time, Zaiden Santos didn’t insist on prolonging the moment; he quickly let her go and stopped kissing.

"You have a cold and still do this, are you doing it on purpose? Trying to get me sick, asshole?" She hated getting colds, especially in winter—it really messed up her plans.

And whenever she got a cold, she felt sluggish and wilting.

"A kiss won’t give you a cold," he retorted, sounding aggrieved.

"Don’t you even know the basics?" Ann didn’t want to argue with him.

Sometimes he acted as if the whole world owed him, always feeling justified in his actions, convinced what he did was right.

Yet, he never considered the feelings of others.

"So, you know I have a cold, what should you do?" Zaiden Santos asked, as if his reasoning was completely sound.
