Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 1194: Give Me a Child

Chapter 1194: Chapter 1194: Give Me a Child

Ann Nolan, teetering in her high heels, lost her balance and stumbled into his arms.

As the world spun around her, her mind went dizzy and hazy.

Looking up, her gaze drunkenly fixed on his face, her eyes shimmered with a shallow layer of mist, like that of a lost deer.

Having had quite a bit to drink that evening, she saw him through a foggy confusion.

At times, she thought he was Zaiden Santos, other times he seemed like Zachary Santos.

Though the brothers were not very alike, to her intoxicated eyes, they just felt... similar.

"The dress I gave you, you refused to accept, but the one he gave you, you put on right away, didn’t you?" Zaiden Santos snapped, gripping her chin and raising his voice.

"Can’t we talk about this inside? You may not be ashamed, but I am. What time is it? It’s a public place. Won’t we disturb others’ rest?"

Ann Nolan left Zaiden Santos at a loss for words.

Fumbling for her keys in her bag, she lowered her head to unlock the door.

She intended to take the opportunity to lock him out.

But Zaiden Santos saw through her intentions, grasping her wrist. As soon as the door opened, he pushed her inside.

"What are you doing!"

Zaiden Santos closed the door, pinning her against the wall without turning on the light!

His dangerous presence enveloped her, and Ann Nolan struggled forcefully against the wall.

"Zaiden Santos, if you have something to say, say it nicely. Don’t get physical. Bullying a woman, you think that’s impressive?" Ann Nolan despised him for this.

Taking advantage because they weren’t divorced yet to lay his hands on her.

"You haven’t answered my question. I give you a dress, and you won’t take it. He gives you a dress, and you put it on immediately, don’t you?" Zaiden Santos’s eyes were red.

"I didn’t know the dress was so expensive."

If she had known, she wouldn’t have accepted it.

Now great, she owed Zachary Santos a favor.

"Just because it’s not expensive, you’ll accept it? You just accept things from other men? Do you even have a sense of being married? Huh? Ann Nolan."

"What do you want me to do? I’ve already given you the divorce papers, and you won’t sign. Is that my fault?"

"I’ve said, unless I get tired of you, I’m not signing!"

"Then tell me, how can you get tired of me? Is it if I sleep with another man, will you get tired of me then?" Ann Nolan gasped for breath, her voice stuck in her throat, "If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind giving it a try."

"Do you have no shame? Is that something a woman should say?"

"Mr. Santos, shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?" Ann Nolan stood her ground, despite feeling dizzy, "I’ve made up my mind. As long as you agree to divorce, I’ll agree to anything you want."

Although she knew, she had nothing of value to offer Zaiden Santos.

As Mr. Santos, he lacked nothing.

"Agree to anything? Fine... have a child for me."

In the darkness, Zaiden Santos’s voice was chilling and deep, his presence emanating a fearful cold.

Although the entire apartment was dark, his piercing eyes sparkled in the abyss, profound with depth.

Ann Nolan shivered, sobering up a bit.

She hadn’t misheard... he said to have a child for him.

Having a child? What did he think she was?

Not allowing her to work, yet demanding a child, did he think himself an emperor?

A chill rose from her feet, her heart growing colder, as if doused in a bucket of ice water from head to toe.

Her hands trembled, and her shoulders shook.

Suddenly, another thought struck her mind—

A child... could that be another bargaining chip for him?
