Chapter 985: Chapter 595 Lizard Queen

Thinking of the opportunity to strike at the Far Sea Witch Meeting, Goste couldn’t help but get excited and bowed respectfully to Simmon, saying, "Lord of the Fortress, your wisdom is as profound as the night sky itself, to think of such a multi-benefit strategy. I am ready to seize the moment and bring the entire Goblin Margins under the rule of Dark Castle."

"It’s too early to speak of this, we need to wait and see how the situation develops," Simmon replied, waving his hand as if it were a trivial matter. "Before that, you just need to be fully prepared."

"Understood," Goste replied loudly.

The entire plan of the Dark Castle was based on the premise that Mickros, the Sambian envoy, could successfully meet the Lizard Queen and persuade her.

Simmon had no concerns about this matter. As a negotiator, Mickros was definitely above average, not only possessing excellent eloquence but most importantly, proficient in the typical Sambian Merchant method of using money to win people over. Many soldiers of Dark Castle had not escaped this tactic and had provided him with much of their own intelligence.

It was just unfortunate that he had his own plans, hence he was not swayed by the persuasion.

The Lizard Queen, however, was different; she lacked such foresight and resistance and would certainly crumble under his onslaught of Gold Coins.

And so it was.

When Mickros learned that he had to persuade a Greedy Dragon, without hesitation, he directly arranged for a million gleaming Nuobao from Sambia through a Portal. With the chests wide open, and under the transport of dozens of large carriages, he proceeded magnificently towards Tun Marsh. He also didn’t ignore Goste’s suggestion, hunting a large amount of game along the way, arriving at Tun Marsh with dozens of large carriages.

Just as Mickros anticipated, he did not need to request an audience; when his caravan reached Tun Marsh, someone was already there waiting for them. If the Lizard Queen lacked even this level of responsiveness, she wouldn’t even be worth meeting, and even if she was willing to act, her fate would likely end up like the young Red Dragon Slark Sata, becoming part of Gaven and the Conqueror Army’s glorious achievements.

"I am the supreme ruler of Tun Marsh, the Lizardfolk Co-Rulers, the Vizier Alhashan of the great Swamp God Kurgor, stranger, please state your purpose."

The speaker was neither Human nor Lizardfolk, but a massive python. It had a thick, colorful body, with a blue-gray back covered in bright, blood-colored patterns that made anyone who saw it shudder; more brightly colored a snake, the stronger its venom, a well-known fact. However, such snakes are typically not very large, as they use their venom for protection, unlike pythons.

This one defied that entirely; its full length was incalculable, at least over three meters since its coiled body alone was nearly as tall as a person, thicker than an adult’s thigh, and its neck could easily expand thrice its width like a cobra.

Most terrifying was its head; not a snake’s head, but a face resembling a human’s, though it spoke with a forked tongue.

Ordinary people, upon encountering such a being, wouldn’t just respond but might be frightened half to death; however, Mickros was no ordinary man. He recognized at once that this face with a snake’s body was a creature called Naga. This particular one was a Dark Naga, also known as a Spirit Soul Naga.

This monster was said not to be born naturally but created by a humanoid race as an immortal guardian to protect their wealth and magical knowledge. The race that created the Naga had long been forgotten by history, but their creations lived on, thanks to their magical essence that enabled eternal rebirth.

Seeing this Spirit Soul Naga named Alhashan, Mickros was not alarmed but pleasantly surprised; the expectations he’d held for the unseen Lizard Queen raised several notches. A Black Dragon that had a Quasi-Legendary Spirit Soul Naga as a Court Minister certainly wouldn’t be weak.

With the utmost respect in his manner and tone, Mickros said, "I have seen Lord Alhashan, I am Mickros Selcok, a merchant from Sambia. This is the gift I have brought for Her Majesty, hoping for a chance to witness Her Majesty’s grace. I will offer information worth ten times that of the present gift."

"Information worth ten times the present gift," the Spirit Soul Naga’s eyes involuntary flickered, a glow known as greed.

Merely judging from the marks of the cargo carriages, he could assess the value of these goods, at least a million or more; this could already make up a significant part of the Lizard Queen’s Dragon’s Nest Treasury. What would ten times that amount entail?

It would fill up three of the Lizard Queen’s treasuries and grant her even greater strength. Though the power of a Dragon isn’t entirely derived from treasures, there is an intricate relationship that ordinary races cannot comprehend.

"Yes," Mickros said solemnly, "I should not have concealed this matter from Lord Alhashan, but it’s of great importance, and walls have ears, hence, I can only present this in front of Her Majesty. To express my apology, these three carriages of Gold Coins are a greeting gift to you."
