Chapter 986: Chapter 595 Lizard Queen_2
"All gifts here belong solely to the Queen; how could they be given to someone else?" the hiss of the Spirit Soul Naga was filled with a frosty chill.
Mickros was taken aback, then remembered the nature of Giant Dragons, their greed for wealth was endless, especially the Colored Dragons. The moment he brought his goods to Tun Marsh, they had been marked as hers. He had no right to touch even a fraction of them, including taking them away, let alone gifting them to this Spirit Soul Naga.
Having realized this, Mickros quickly bowed and apologized, "This is my mistake. Please wait a moment, and I will immediately have someone prepare three carts of the same amount of Gold Coins to come over."
He then turned and whispered to a Mage in the convoy. In just a few minutes, three wagons loaded with Gold Coins magically appeared not far from Mickros. This was clearly teleported directly from Sambia, which not only showed the importance Sambia placed on Mickros’s visit but also demonstrated their exceptional wealth and formidable power.
The Spirit Soul Naga then nodded in satisfaction, "My wealth belongs to Her Majesty, so let all of it be transported to the Queen’s Dragon’s Nest as well. Gregory, you take over from here. Mr. Mickros, come with me. I believe Her Majesty will be very pleased to meet someone who brings her such wealth."
At the Spirit Soul Naga’s command, the lush water grass trembled, and numerous figures emerged from the marshes. In the blink of an eye, the convoy brought by Mickros was surrounded tight.
Surrounding their convoy were, naturally, not Humans, but a type of reptilian humanoid creature. Their average height was astonishing, well over two meters seventy, with many exceeding three meters. Muscles were highly developed all over their bodies. The deep eye sockets and flat noses made their faces resemble skulls. When they fixed their orange-yellow eyes on you, you could not perceive any emotions but rather felt like a dish ready to be served at the table. When they opened their lizard-like mouths, revealing their full set of fangs, it only corroborated this.
Their bodies were covered with black scales, and the tops of their heads were not bald but bore fin-like protrusions, made of hard bone spikes and skin membranes, meaning they could not retract like fish fins. They had massive tails that were a meter and a half long, more akin to crocodiles than Giant Dragons.
They did not wear much armor, just a leather cross-strap and a Combat Belt, on which five or six Long Spears, comparable to siege crossbows, were carried, and the majority of the weapons they held were Warhammers mostly carved from stone. But given their exaggerated size and the bearer’s developed muscles, these weapons could definitely deliver terrifying lethal force.
Lizardfolk, these were Lizardfolk Giants.
Mickros had seen Lizardfolk before, but it was his first time seeing such tall and robust ones.
Usually, Lizardfolk have white abdomens, green Dragon Scales, heads crowned with red and yellow crests, and they stand taller than the average person but only to a limited extent, generally about two meters.
The reason why these Blackscaled Lizardfolk have a body type so different from typical Lizardfolk wasn’t hard to guess. The race known as closest to Giant Dragons wasn’t the Gnolls, but the Lizardfolk. They were born speaking Draconic. If there were no Giant Dragons in their environment, they generally held primitive beliefs and had Shamans as the tribe’s highest leaders. But if there were Giant Dragons nearby, they would unhesitatingly throw themselves into the embrace of that Giant Dragon, offering their tributes to curry favor.
They did not have the variability of Gnoll bloodlines, but if they mixed in Giant Dragon bloodline, it would be different. The more accurate term for this group of Blackscaled Lizardfolk should be Half-Black Dragon Lizardfolk, the direct troops of the Lizard Queen’s Royal Court.
The one named Gregory at the front was particularly massive, exceeding four meters. He was about eighty percent similar to the Blackscaled Lizardfolk, with the biggest difference being the huge Dragon Wings on his back, indicating his bloodline was purer, a true Half-Black Dragon Lizardfolk. And there were more than a dozen such Half-Dragons, serving as Commanders among these Lizardfolk.
Seeing these enormous Blackscaled Lizardfolk, Mickros’s heart, which had been on edge, finally settled somewhat.
As he had said before, his greatest concern was not whether he could persuade the Black Dragon, but whether she had the capacity to consume or pose a fatal threat to the Conqueror Army. Their Hobgoblin Regiment and Golia Brigade, although not numerous, could deal a considerable sudden, striking lethal force on the battlefield, especially against the Monster Tribe with their puzzling morale, easily breaking through quickly, creating a herd-chasing tactic that could lead to a total collapse of the Monster Army.
With these massive Blackscaled Lizardfolk, it was like having the means to confront these special corps. Their number was not small by any means, definitely no less than three hundred, which was double the special corps of the Conqueror Army.
The vast expanse of Tun Marsh, over ten thousand square kilometers, absolutely could not nurture only this small number of Blackscaled Lizardfolk. Either there were more Blackscaled Lizardfolk or a large population base of ordinary Lizardfolk, just like Hobgoblin Giants amongst the Hobgoblin Tribe of the Giant Plains, they were meticulously selected Elites.
