Chapter 905: Chapter 568: Giant Dragon Wide Open Mouth_2
Only at first glance, he matched the identity mentioned in the reports; he was the mastermind behind it all, the initiator of the Conqueror Army, Gaven Nort.
The woman beside him, clad in blood-red sealed armor, was wrapped so tightly that not a single breath of air could escape. The reason she could be recognized as a woman was due to the custom-tailored armor, which possessed a curvaceous design, especially the magnificent scale of the breastplate that required special craftsmanship to support.
This unique design was a symbol of identity, Ms. Katherine, the Goddess of Strategy’s Chosen, who had never removed her armor since becoming the embodiment of the Goddess of Strategy, keeping her true visage hidden from the world. It was said that when she was possessed by the Goddess of Strategy, she had sworn a sacred oath that as long as the Goddess of Strategy did not reveal her true face to the world, she would never show hers.
"Archmage, half a year has passed since we last met, and you look as vigorous as the last time," Gaven bowed and greeted first.
Seeing Feng Geda Hast appear here, he wasn’t surprised at all; given the mistrust between the Conqueror Army and the Giant Dragon Coast Allied Forces, a ceasefire and mere words of peace would need mediation from an external power.
Only one could play this role around here, and that was the Kingdom of Komeer. Since Yasan IV, as the King, could not leave the royal capital lightly, he had to send the Court Archmage, someone with high prestige and great strength.
But the two who followed him were somewhat beyond his expectations, although their faces still bore some traces of youth, he instantly matched them with the information he had.
For these two held significant positions in the Kingdom of Komeer ten years later.
One was known as the Iron Princess, the Regent King; the other had taken over Feng Geda Hast’s position as the new Court Archmage of Komeer.
Feng Geda Hast laughed heartily, "I indeed haven’t changed at all. The changes in you, young friend, are quite unexpected. I felt last time that you were no ordinary person, and now I see you are truly extraordinary."
"Archmage, you flatter me. I merely blundered around and achieved some insignificant results. Let me introduce you." Gaven pointed to Katherine beside him. "This is Ms. Katherine Vantine Blood Eagle, the Chosen of the Goddess of Strategy, Lord of the Fortress of Strategy and First Lord Knight of the Yin Hong Banner. This is Feng Geda Hast, the Court Archmage from the Kingdom of Komeer."
Feng Geda Hast spoke first, "I have long heard of your reputation, lady. This time I also bring a charge from His Majesty. This is Princess Yalusai; she will be the first student to study at your Yin Hong War Academy, as a sign of support for you. Not only will Komeer’s students pay the normal tuition, but they will also donate one hundred thousand Gold Coins to the War Academy every year."
"Please convey my gratitude to His Majesty for his generosity," Katherine showed a slight smile of joy. Such gratuitous support was always welcome.
But compared to Gaven’s earlier contribution, Komeer’s donation seemed rather meager. For Komeer, a yearly donation of one hundred thousand was merely a token; it hardly counted as significant support, thus highlighting Gaven’s sincerity.
"This isn’t a place for long conversations. Let’s discuss matters back in the city," Gaven gestured to the Court Archmage and his companions to follow.
"Agreed," Feng Geda Hast complied amicably.
Since the Giant Dragon Coast Allied Forces had also sent cavalry to greet them, their discussion was not something that could be settled in a few words.
Gaven waved his hand, and fifty Red Falcon Knights surged forward like a tide, encircling everyone in a protective formation and marched towards Efanso without any hint of using the collective teleportation earlier.
It wasn’t that they couldn’t use it, but rather, it was intentional. The prior tactical deployment wasn’t Katherine’s doing but Zalanda’s; she was now in Efanso, with Katherine’s still saved for emergency situations.
Wherever the Red Falcon Knights went, the armies of the Giant Dragon Coast Allied Forces had to retreat like a tide.
It wasn’t because they were intimidated by their formidable strength but rather their unique status. They were the direct army of the Goddess of Strategy; to attack them without a just cause was tantamount to declaring war on the Goddess of Strategy and all her followers.
Not to mention that they had no intention of engaging in an all-out war with the Conqueror Army, even if they had, they wouldn’t dare to recklessly involve a quasi-god in their plans.
Gaven and his group knew this all too well, which is why they sent the Red Falcon Knights instead of any other Transcendent Battle Group.
Along the way, Feng Geda Hast restrained himself a bit, only glancing briefly at the Giant Dragon Bay Allied Forces and the Conqueror Army to assess their strength.
Princess Yalusai and Carla Denneth, however, were far less discreet, chatting and whispering non-stop. Although they had just met, they got along very well and found many common interests.
As they learned more about the Conqueror Army, they realized they had underestimated the strength of the Conqueror Army and overestimated the disarray in the Giant Dragon Bay Allied Forces.
Faced with a mere force of less than a hundred Heavy Cavalry, they were so disorganized; what would happen if there was a large-scale surprise attack? Would they not turn into a total disaster?
Moreover, now with city defense advantages, the Conqueror Army just needed to hold out for a while, and this allied force would inevitably collapse on its own.
