Chapter 890: Chapter 563: Winner Takes All_2

Gaven paid no heed to this matter, showing no interest in even discovering who Arms’ mother might have been. When one has too many debts, there’s little use in worrying, and if they have already provoked and made an enemy of Di Gaomorgan, the Demon Prince, what was one more powerful devil to them? Even if he was powerful, he couldn’t be stronger than the Demon Lord.

Destroying Hell’s Summoning Gate was just the beginning. The purifying flames, driven by the Destroy Evil, ignited Arms’ Soul Consciousness as they followed the link of consciousness.

Since it had been ignited, Gaven did not intend to extinguish it. If the opponent had been a true Demon, he might have held some value for transformation, but as an Evil Beast Spirit, as a part of a devil’s Soul Consciousness, his value was comparatively lesser. His potential for growth had a limit, and it would be better to directly refine it, extracting the essence of his Soul Consciousness, and using it to strengthen his existing subordinates.

"Spare me, Lord, spare my life. If you let me live, I’m willing to turn into a Shadow and devote my life’s knowledge to serving you."

"No, you cannot do this. I am a fragment of the Soul Consciousness of Aruson, the Devil Lord. If you proceed, Lord Aruson will never forgive you. If you spare me, I swear I won’t seek revenge, and I’ll even stop Lord Aruson from doing so."

"I curse you. I curse you in the name of my soul, in the name of Lord Aruson. Your soul will ultimately be corrupted, and one day you will fall into Hell, forever imprisoned and suffering."

"I..."

In Gaven’s grasp, Arms, like all devils, resorted to bribery, threats, curses—using every trick to try to break free from Gaven’s hold.

Regrettably, Gaven’s mental fortitude was harder than steel; none of these tactics worked on him. He remained undeterred, firmly channeling the power in his hands.

Arms, along with the severed hand of the Undying Goddess of Vengeance and the severed tentacle of Di Gaomorgan, was not comparable in power, but was no less tenacious.

Because the former two were severed objects that had lost connection to their main bodies. Although powerful, they had no consciousness and did not resist, so they could simply be refined slowly.

However, the Soul Consciousness of the Necromancer was still alert and struggled against its fate. It could not change its ultimate destiny but added considerable trouble for Gaven.

It made him focus solely on refining the Necromancer, leaving him no time to massacre the remaining Bone Claws and Ghosts.

But he was no longer needed for that task, as it was now the Six-armed Snake Demon’s turn to shine. Without the Necromancer to direct Negative Energy for healing, even those Bone Claws couldn’t withstand her two rounds of attacks, and were directly chopped down to piles of bones.

As for those Ghost Shadows, she literally embodied the nickname ’Death Whirlwind.’ When she began to spin, she became death itself, the reaper, bringing the end to these Ghost Shadows.

To the current Gaven, they were mere cannon fodder, not even worthy of being transformed into Ghost Shadows, but could only serve as the foundation for Weizemay Manor.

Including those Bone Claws, after being killed and absorbed, they did not transform into unique Nightshadow Bone Claws or Bone Claw Shadows.

They were artificially-constructed patchwork Undead, their bodies not housing original souls, but rather, each one filled with a malevolent spirit.

When absorbed by the power of the Ghost, their true forms were immediately revealed. Many were just Ghosts barely reaching the strength of Transcendent Life Dice, not True Wraiths, therefore, of considerably lesser value.

By the time Gaven had refined Arms’ Soul Consciousness, there were no longer any enemies to be seen in the entire space.

Estelle, the Six-armed Serpent Demon, and Daphne were already gathered around Gaven, maintaining a certain distance, looking eagerly at Gaven’s right hand. Their desire was unmistakable, like looking at a delicious feast, especially the Six-armed Serpent Demon who was most aware of its value, practically drooling over it.

This was, after all, the Soul Consciousness of a Quasi-Legendary Necromancer. If she consumed it, would she unlock a part of her Type of Magic Spell Abilities? Or learn some portion of Spell directly?

Gaven’s gaze swept over the three of them and addressed the Six-armed Serpent Demon first, "The soul of this Spellcaster is incompatible with you, and besides, there’s too great a gap in Level between you. Its assistance to you would be minimal, so you will not receive this one."

"Who cares." Clearly coveting it, the Six-armed Serpent Demon nevertheless pretended to be indifferent.

Ignoring the capricious character, Gaven’s attention turned to Daphne and Estelle. After slight hesitation, he spoke to Daphne, "You have been instrumental in managing and governing Mesnoel recently, and you truly deserve a reward. However, Weizemay Manor is our foundation, and Ms. Estelle has played a crucial role in it. I want to try to stimulate her Professional Level and abilities to see if it triggers any new changes, to see if we can break through the current limits of the Manor in some way. If we achieve this, you all will benefit from it."

"Lord’s arrangement is most sensible, and I believe such opportunities will become increasingly available. Compared to that Necromancer, the Soul Essence of the exclusive Sacrificers to the Undying Goddess of Vengeance is most fitting for me," Daphne expressed with heartfelt gratitude. According to the hierarchy, Gaven had no need to explain anything to her, which indicated he now valued her feelings. This recognition was what mattered most to her.
