Chapter 1074: Chapter 624 Above Nine Rings_3

The main thing is, its method of attack is too unique; it attacks by moving in a circle.

Its speed isn’t particularly fast, taking about three seconds to complete one circle, but the problem is that it consists of five blood phantom arms each holding a scimitar, so one circle equates to five slashes.

Three seconds, five slashes; this is already a terrifying rate of attack. A Legendary Warrior can only make five slashes in six seconds. Don’t think it’s slow; each slash here refers to a full top-down chopping motion, not the small scope chopping, which might be fast but lacks enough power to pose a significant threat.

Such attacks, if carried out among densely packed unarmored or lightly armored creatures or crowds, turn into a slaughtering whirlwind. Wherever it rolls, blood sprays, limbs sever, and bodies pile up; flesh and blood cannot withstand the madness of this cutting.

But when faced with Hobgoblin Giants who are Heavily Armored Warriors, it’s clearly not as effective. They not only possess thick, colossal shields but also tailor-made heavy Armor, with astonishing defensive capabilities, capable of even withstanding breaks through the shield without breaking through their heavy Armor.

Its only function is to provide cover for its creator, facilitating their approach to the Hobgoblin Giants’ shield wall to initiate an attack.

Yet, even for those Blood Plunderers, these battalion-formed Hobgoblin Giants are a tough nut to crack. They are proficient in coordinated combat. Once they form a shield wall, they aren’t foolishly static but continually moving. The Blood Plunderers face different defending and attacking Hobgoblin Giants every time. Even if they inflict certain damage, the next opponent remains unscathed. Those injured Hobgoblin Giants are always protected at the very center.

This coordinated combat is not just amongst these teams; teams also coordinate with each other. The Blood Plunderers find themselves suddenly trapped in the middle by two or three teams of Hobgoblin Giants, encircled by and facing large weapons from all sides, with absolutely no way to dodge or escape. Massive shields tightly squeeze them in.

These three-meter-plus tall Blood Plunderers, intimidating to ordinary people and looming overwhelmingly, seem at a disadvantage against the average three and a half meter tall Hobgoblin Giants.

They are disadvantaged in numbers, equipment, and tactics.

It’s no wonder the Blood Plunderers are getting beaten down.

On Katherine’s end, the response was simple and direct. Numerous Dispel Magics were thrown at those Iron Tempests. Most were just forming and hadn’t flown a few meters before dissipating on the spot.

A small part that resisted successfully hadn’t even reached the Red Falcon Knights before a second wave of Dispel Magic struck down, mostly crumbling them.

Deity-specific spells are also spells and can be countered by Dispel Magics.

This is a classic case of using a lower to negate a higher circle, with a three-ring Dispel Magic exchanging for a five-ring spell, a very cost-effective trade.

These Blood Plunderers were after all hastily made high-level cannon fodder. Compared to the real Plunderer’s sacrificial rituals, they lack both substantial professional ability and the experience in using spells.

Many spells require precision in timing. Only under special circumstances and at the right moments can these spells reach their full potential.

Not just blatantly displaying all spells and using them as supplementary attack weapons.

The remainder of the battle proceeded just like before, with the Knight’s Move coordinated with a massive lightning attack, completely outmaneuvering the Blood Plunderers.

They were too slow, countered in ability and tactic, naturally unable to lift their heads under suppression.

Now, it’s a battle of equals, leader against leader, king against king.

The same Iron Tempests, deployed by the two Plunderer’s Chosens, naturally wielded incomparably greater power than ordinary Blood Plunderers.

Formed from colossal arms wielding oversized scimitars, over three meters in diameter, their spinning momentum was terrifying. Dispel Magics were ineffective against them, as they contained the power of plunder.

Even the Lizard Queen was chopped down to size before this colossal Iron Tempest, forced to tuck in her neck and let the blades hack into her fleshy mass, occasionally controlling the flesh to surge, pushing away or covering wounds.

Ever since the failed naval raid on Far Sea Marsh and returning through the Bridge of Human God to enter the ascension process under the Goddess of Strategy, even if Gaven had ceased his direct control over her, she remained as humble and well-behaved as possible.

It’s a joke; she is a true God, albeit one newly ascended with minimal Divine Power, not a force to be trifled with by her.

Giant Dragons might only claim to be the top predators of the Material Plane, not the Multiverse. Even Ancient Dragons must respectfully bow their noble heads before these Demigods, much less her being a half-done controlled being, without any leverage for further disturbance.

Especially having witnessed the terrifying combat power unleashed by the Conqueror Army, she realized her loss was well-deserved, as their strengths weren’t even in the same league.

If she had cooperated sincerely with Dark Castle and the witches of Far Sea Marsh before, perhaps she might have stood a longer fight against the Conqueror Army; relying solely on any party or any two was an utter defeat.

Their defeat was not just about disparities in strength but also failures in tactics, strategies, and planning.

The enemy was always steps ahead, calculating every move against them. Even with the Divine War initiated by Plunderer Karazgos, there was no chance for a turnaround. She well knew how formidable the young man standing above her was, and a hastily promoted God’s Chosen could hardly pose a threat.
