Chapter 1075: Chapter 625 God vs. God
The Jackalwere Chosen had obviously not realized this yet. With a howl, his legs forcefully pushed off the ground, and he leaped tens of meters into the air, his six sturdy arms raised high, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Gaven who stood atop the Lizard Queen’s head.
No one could withstand the crushing attack from a Colossal Giant wielding six weapons; he was the Plunderer’s Chosen, Kallargos, representing the divine Will of plunder and destruction, his attacks imbued with the power of devastation...
"Now, attack," was Gaven’s response as he moved his lips, issuing the attack command.
Boom!
An indescribably thick beam of light that was too intense to look at burst forth above the Lizard Queen’s head, gushing towards the Jackalwere Chosen.
The term ’gushing’ was used, rather than ’shooting’ because the power it contained was so immense; it surged back and forth like a physical substance.
"No! Save me!" The Jackalwere Chosen, who was haughty just a moment ago, let out a desperate cry. That was the power of lightning, a force with a hundred percent lethality against his current self. Suspended in the air, he had absolutely no way to dodge, and his greatest defensive tactic, the Blood Cloak, was not only no shelter but his most fatal flaw.
Countless Blood Plunderers leapt recklessly, trying to shield the Jackalwere Chosen from this deadly strike.
But the Jackalwere Chosen had leapt too high, far beyond their reach. Occasionally, a few that managed to touch the Thunderstrike with the upper half of their bodies were like mantises wielding great swords in the face of an oncoming car, their upper bodies instantly vaporized, yet the beam of lightning did not weaken in the slightest.
As the primary cannon defending Mesnoel, Gaven had always placed great importance on the cultivation of Thunderwood.
Just like today, every time a major battle occurred, Gaven would have Veranika return to Mesnoel to teleport it over.
Facing off the Troll Legion and their Summoned Demon Army in Blood Canyon, and the Undead attacking Efanso, he was present, but due to limited mobility, he never had a chance to shine brilliantly; he only used Summon Storm and Thunderstrike to clear up the more densely packed minions.
Therefore, the increase in Life Dice was limited, with only one added, but on the other hand, the enhancement of his abilities was tremendous. He possessed a Special Ability called Iron Absorption; he could root himself on iron ore and slowly absorb the elemental iron to strengthen himself, increasing the number of Thundercores he could store.
Gaven started from iron mining; lacking in other resources but for iron, he dared not claim to have an unlimited supply, but satisfying Thunderwood’s absorption was definitely not a problem. Thunderwood’s absorption of the iron element had already reached saturation, and this Special Ability, named Iron Absorption, directly transformed into Thundercore Absorption. The ability remained the same, both aimed at increasing Thundercore storage, only the substance to be absorbed had changed.
Gaven knew what Thundercores were; they were the gemstone-like cores nurtured within the bodies of Thunder Elementals, brimming with the purest lightning power. They are not something to be acquired easily—ordinary Thunder Elementals could not nurture them. At least it would have to be an Elder Thunder Element, who are Quasi-Legendary Elemental Creatures. Not only are they powerful, but they are also found only in special environments. Killing those summoned Elder Thunders would not yield Thundercores, as the summoned spells project only energy; their true bodies had to be found. Most summoned creatures share this trait; killing them leads to immediate disappearance, making it impossible to harvest any biological materials.
But based purely on the saturation of iron absorption, the enhancement to Thunderwood was massive. Not only did the number of Thundercores stored grow from the initial six to ten, but also its bodily hardness far surpassed that of wood, coming infinitely close to iron, with certain Attributes seeing a degree of increase.
For ordinary creatures, the power of this shot lies between 10*5D10, meaning 50 to 500, as there is a chance to dodge or reduce damage through evasion.
But not for the Plunderer’s Chosen. The power of the Plunderer not only manifested externally in the form of the Blood Cloak; their bodies were also filled with the same force, actively absorbing electricity, ensuring the damage taken maxes out at 500. After that, there was no more.
With her rough skin and tough flesh, the Lizard Queen barely hung on to five hundred life points, thanks to her Extra Life and her terrifying Constitution attribute bonuses. A Chosen hastily promoted to possess Legendary strength was good enough, but it couldn’t be any stronger.
And so it was proven.
This Jackalwere Chosen, under the frenzied assault of Thunderstrike, did not even possess the merit to become a mummified corpse, vanishing on the spot without a trace.
And that wasn’t all; the wild power of the lightning continued to gush in a straight line, spraying out a full hundred meters before finally dissipating. Every Blood Plunderer and Blood Berserker in its path—each met the same fate of direct vaporization.
The maximum single-target lethal damage of Thunderstrike was five hundred, but that doesn’t mean that was the extent of the lightning power contained within this attack. It was an unequivocal linear range attack.
The maximum attack distance is related to the number of Thundercores stored; with each additional Thundercore, the attack distance increases by ten meters, with a hundred meters being the current limit.
Just like the initial blast in Mesnoel that obliterated that Medusa, the entire battlefield was left speechless.
Whether it was the visual and auditory effects or the lethality, this move was too overwhelming, making people question life itself.
"Impossible, this cannot be, how can my Chosen be killed with a single strike?" The Plunderer Kallargos roared in disbelief.
