Falling in Love : I love you, Today and Forever
Chapter 850: Daniel’s surprise

Chapter 850: Daniel’s surprise

"Where are we going?" Rachel looked at Daniel curiously and asked for the fourth time.

Daniel had pulled her with him the moment they left her grandfather’s house. After a hearty lunch, he started driving without saying a word.

Rachel didn’t know where they were going. He had been utterly secretive, only giving her evil smirks, igniting her curiosity all the more.

"Always inquisitive. Patience, baby. Patience." Daniel winked at her and Rachel rolled her eyes at him.

"At least, give me a hint."

"And spoil the fun? No way." Daniel shook his head and Rachel was close to pulling his hair in frustration.

"Why are you so annoying?"

"And why are you so cute? I love it when you are annoyed. You look absolutely ravishing," Daniel growled lightly, startling Rachel. "If I didn’t have something important to accomplish, I’d have taken you back home and had my way with you."

"Well, dream on, Mister. You can forget about entering our room tonight, let alone having your way with me," Rachel threatened, hoping for the man to give in and reveal everything.

But all she got in return was a chuckle.

"We’ll see, baby. We’ll see."

Rachel snorted and looked out the window, ignoring Daniel who was being unbelievably cocky.

"Tonight, you will take me to bed willingly and even allow me to do anything I want," he continued, gaining Rachel’s eyes back to him.

"Are you dreaming with your eyes open?" Rachel examined him with her eyes narrowed. "Or are you drunk?"

"Baby, I’m drunk, alright. I am drunk on your love."

Rachel’s blood was boiling and she had to use a lot of willpower to not lash out at him. Why was the man being so difficult? Did he inhale something he shouldn’t have?

Rachel scrutinized him while Daniel allowed her to without saying a word. A smile of amusement danced on his lips while he continued driving.

A frown marred her face when she saw where they were heading towards.

’West Port? Why are we going to West Port?’ Her mind was blank and she couldn’t make out what Daniel was up to. The man was utterly mysterious and silent, making it impossible to decipher what he was trying to do.

"Why are we going to West Port?"

"Oh, you realized? Smart," Daniel praised her, igniting Rachel’s fury all the more.

"Looks like you have lost your mind today. Don’t even think about touching me for a week."

"Don’t worry, baby. I won’t take your threat to mind."

Rachel huffed before looking out the window and didn’t speak a word until they reached the port after an hour.

"Are you hungry?" Daniel questioned once he parked the car.

Though livid, Rachel still shook her head. They had had lunch before Daniel went crazy. So, she wasn’t hungry.

"Good. Tell me if you need anything. It might be a while before we had dinner."

Rachel frowned but didn’t speak. She was determined to remain silent.

Daniel chuckled at seeing her pout. But he didn’t do anything to curb her anger.

"Let’s go, baby." He got out of the car and opened the door for her, prompting her to get down.

Daniel then led her to a wooden bridge, rendering her baffled. She gave him a questioning look which went completely disregarded.

"Do you believe me?"

Though surprised, Rachel nodded and that was all Daniel needed.

"Thank you." He leaned closer to her and before Rachel could react, sneaked a kiss.

Rachel’s eyes widened and she was just about to protest when Daniel pulled out a blindfold and covered her eyes.

"What... what are you doing?"

"I thought you wouldn’t be speaking to me," Daniel teased and tied the blindfold, ensuring that it was tight enough to not slip but not tight enough to hurt her eyes.

"Are you on a mission to irk me tonight?"

"No, my mission is something else. Now, let’s go."

Rachel didn’t even have the time to brace herself when she felt herself in the air. Daniel had picked her up princess style and carried her to god knows where.

"Daniel, what are you doing? Let me go. Let me..."

"Relax, baby. The path we are taking is unsteady. I don’t want you hurting yourself."

"But..."

"Now, be quiet and enjoy my embrace. I may not be this gentle once we reach our destination."

"What?" It took Rachel a moment or two to realize what he was talking about and her cheeks heated up instantly, blotching them pink.

Daniel was enthralled by her. Although he wanted to kiss her, he continued walking and didn’t stop until a few minutes later.

"Baby, we’ll be taking a jet ski. Hold onto me tight. Okay?"

"Okay?" Rachel didn’t know what was happening. But she trusted him to take care of her. So, she allowed him to have his way. Her curiosity was at its peak and she was dying to know what he was up to.

"I’ll let go of you now. Okay?"

"Okay."

Daniel lowered her and placed her on the jetski as he guided her to sit properly.

"Hold onto me, Rach."

Daniel didn’t have to say again. Once Rachel felt him sitting in front of her, she hugged him from behind, eradicating any distance between them.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Hold onto me tight, baby. It’s going to be a long ride."

Daniel shouted before the jet ski roared to life and Rachel was flying. With her sight gone, all her other senses were high. Her hair was fluttering wildly while her heart thumped madly. She held only Daniel tight, wrapping her hands around his torso.

Rachel was exhilarated. Although the thrilling ride scared her because of her lack of sight, she was nevertheless still excited. Slowly, she let go of her wariness and started to enjoy the time.

She didn’t know how long they had ridden the jet ski. She became alert when Daniel slowed.

"We have almost reached, Rach," Daniel shouted and Rachel nodded in understanding.

A few minutes later, Rachel felt the jet ski come to a complete standstill.

"Rach, I’m getting off," Daniel stated before he got off.

Rachel didn’t have to wait for long. Daniel helped her to get off as well before she was swept off her feet again. A small yelp left her lips and once again, Daniel chuckled softly.

"I’ve got you, baby. Always."

Rachel didn’t doubt him on it. Daniel would never hurt her. Never.

"I’m going to let you go now, Rach," Daniel said softly after walking for a minute or two and Rachel nodded.

Helping her to stabilize on her feet, Daniel held her hand while Rachel took her time. She felt her feet sink once she landed on her legs.

Sand.

’Where are we?’ she wondered, still unable to comprehend what was happening.

"Rachel, please remove the blindfold once I count to three. Okay?"

"Okay."

Rachel held her breath while Daniel started to count.

"One."

Rachel licked her lips nervously.

"Two."

Her heart was pumped madly as if she had just completed a race.

"Three."

With that, she removed the blindfold and blinked a few times to get adjusted to light. Once she did, a gasp left her lips. Her eyes widened in disbelief while tears filled them.

Daniel was kneeling before her on one knee as he held the most beautiful ring she had ever seen.
