Chapter 812: Punching bag - Part 3
Aria waited with her hands behind her back for Amber to prepare herself for the fight. Although she had given her the time, it didn’t mean she would wait for her forever.
Two minutes. She would wait for her for two minutes; if Amber wasn’t ready by then, it was her fault.
Aria grinned when she met Noah’s indulgent eyes. The man had been her greatest support and had indulged in her every time. She immediately made up her mind to reward him once everything ended.
’He needs to know what an awesome man he is. I can’t take his love and support for granted.’ Aria vowed, thinking of ways to surprise him while the countdown for two minutes continued in her mind.
Meanwhile, Noah raised a brow when he noticed Aria smiling at him tenderly. Her expression had changed on a whim, the sudden shift making him apprehensive.
’What is cooking in her mind?’ He wondered, his mind gears starting to run at top speed. ’Why does it look like she wants to kill me next?’
Noah felt a chill run down his spine at the realization. He stiffened immediately and became wary of Aria. ’What’s wrong with her? Why does she want to kill me? I don’t think I ever did anything bad to her.’
Noah was now worried. He even went as far as to recall all that had happened between them since the time they had first met. ’Is she taking revenge for the misunderstandings between us in the past now? Although I don’t mind sparring with her, I don’t want to hurt her. But what if she wants to hurt me? Should I accept it? But I’m not a masochist.’
In just a few seconds, Noah’s thoughts had run wild and he had cooked up an entire scenario.
Oblivious to his weird thoughts, Aria continued with the countdown and when there were less than twenty seconds, she decided to give Amber a heads-up.
"I don’t have all day, Amber. If you aren’t ready in the next few seconds, don’t blame me for not giving you enough time."
Ronnie didn’t know if he should laugh or cry at her words. ’Madam could be absolutely hilarious if she wants. Didn’t she say she would give Amber enough time? Who knew two minutes was what she had in mind?’
Amber too was flummoxed and her resentment grew all the more. If only the door to the room was open, if only she had managed to escape before the ten seconds passed. Resorting to her fate, she turned around and faced Aria who was waiting for her in the middle of the room.
Aria tilted her head and looked at her innocently. It didn’t seem like she wanted to beat her up. Instead, her expression made it seem like she was here for a chat with her.
Amber dragged her body as she prepared herself for the unavoidable fight. Mustering all the power in her, she increased her pace and ran towards her Aria and when she was close to her, she raised her leg, aiming for her face.
But Aria was faster than her and she evaded her attack as if she had expected it. Twisting her body such that she was beside Amber before her kick landed on her face, Aria raised her fist and punched her hard on her right cheek and her victim went tumbling on her feet as she saw stars.
Amber’s head spun and blood started to ooze out of her broken lips. But she didn’t give up. Filled with hatred, she screamed in agitation and charged forward again, her fists ready to punch the loathful woman in front of him, only to trip and fall hard on her face.
’Ouch!’ Ronnie’s face scrunched up when he saw how nasty a fall Amber had taken. ’That must have hurt.’
He then looked at the woman who had tripped her. Aria’s face showed nothing. It was as if she wasn’t the woman who had crushed Amber with only two blows.
Amber felt blood flow down her nose and mouth and her eyes widened. Although she hadn’t grown in luxury, she had been pampered since young. When had she ever met such injustice? All her ego was crushed and she started crying, even bawling her eyes out.
"Why are you doing this to me?" She cried, staring at Aria hatefully. "What did I ever do to you?"
"Wait a minute! Did I knock not just your teeth out but your brain as well?" Aria mused, making Amber see red. "How can you forget what you did?"
"I didn’t do anything. You’re just being a monster to me."
"Ohh, do you really think we are fools and don’t know how you joined hands with Jared?" Aria squatted before Amber and raised her head, her grip almost breaking her jaws.
"Do you think we don’t know how you manipulated Joshua and helped Jared to kidnap Ivy?" Aria continued as she watched Amber’s face lose all the color.
"Do you think we don’t know your involvement in all that has happened recently?" Aria was filled with anger and by the time was done, she was infuriated. How she wished to chop the woman into pieces and feed her carcass to dogs.
But Aria had an inkling that dogs too had high standards and wouldn’t touch someone as disgusting as Amber.
Amber’s eyes quivered. "I have no idea what you are speaking about. You must have gone mad."
"Are you sure?" Aria tilted her head and gave a look that sent chills down her spine. "Joshua has told us everything already and we know how you invited him out for a talk and what the actual talk was all about."
"How can he do it?" Amber was shocked and gaped at Aria, trying to see any signs of lies. "How can he throw away his dignity just like that? How can he say such things to everyone?"
"Shall we cut the crap and get to work? I don’t have all day, you know. I still have a lot of work to do, unlike you who has to do nothing but wait for your death."
"No! You can’t do this to me." Amber screamed.
But it had no effect on Aria. She just pulled her to her feet and kicked her hard on her stomach and Amber crashed to the floor heavily."
Amber broke out into a cold sweat from the pain. She tried to get up. But the pain was too much for her to bear and eventually, she fainted.
