Chapter 165: Leonardo Vitale
Chapter 165: Leonardo Vitale
The tan leather shoes dragged on the hot pavement of the private airstrip. The man wearing a tailored white suit sipped on the cocktail in his hand. He laughed hearing the giggle of the girl in his arm.
"Mr. Vitale, I’m dragging your entire weight on me. I’m strong. I’m so happy you’re taking me with you," she spoke with an accent of a socialite except socialites won’t beg a man to take them with them.
She licked her lips to see his open shirt revealing the bronze skin glistening in the sunlight. She pressed her ears to his heart. "Your heart is pounding," she giggled. "Is it saying my name?"
"You think so?" his thin lips parted for a hearty chuckle. "Sorry for making you hold me, dear," the man kissed her cheek, still leaning his weight on the woman. Her golden sequined dress glittered in the sunlight, and she almost twisted her ankle balancing herself on the stilettoes with a red sole.
Her face crunched in pain but when he looked at her, she smiled brightly hiding her pain. The man was still hanging on to the woman, "I’m drunk!" he hiccupped.
"Oh, careful," the woman patted his chest. "You need someone to take care of you..." she said with a concerned face leaning toward him, staring at his reddened eyes. Still, his amber eyes were a delight to look at.
Leonardo smirked looking down. He could see everything. He won’t lie. He loved the feel of those fake boobs.
But...
"Iggy!" he shouted at the man wearing fedora standing by the stairs of the private jet. "My darling brother!"
Still staggering, Leonardo walked toward the guy getting out of the embrace of the young thing.
"Mr. Vitale..." the girl ran behind him and came to a halt when Leonardo ended up in the embrace of the older guy with a ruffian look.
To the girl’s despair, the older guy carried Leonardo inside the jet while two men in suits stood by the stairs stopping her from getting in.
"Mr. Vitale!" the girl screamed as her life depended on it.
Her life did depend on it. She’s been spending the past three days with him. He chose her among ten other women and he treated her like a princess. She thought that he liked her and that she has a chance to marry the scion. But now...
"Ardo!" she shouted the name only she calls him. But he didn’t look back. The door of the aircraft was closed and she looked at the windows to have one last look at him for her to convince him.
But her eyes widened seeing how steady Leonardo was walking. There was no sign of instability in his gait. Maybe he could feel her gaze on her, he stopped.
She took a step forward out of glee. She knew he won’t leave without her by his side. He had fallen for her. This is her chance for becoming a Cinderella.
He looked through a window, smiled, and blew a kiss. He then waved his hand sweetly. The girl couldn’t get what that meant. She but her lips.
Leonardo turned to Ignazio. "Give her one of the...neck-no, bracelets. And a gift card," he stood up and walked to the cabin at the back. Ignazio sighed and sent a message.
One of the guys standing by the door walked to the girl after looking at his phone. The girl’s little heart started developing hope again. She believed Leonardo asked that guy to get her inside.
That guy grabbed her by the arm as she tried to get to the jet. "Let go!" she shrieked but the guy dragged her to the parked Range Rover. The guy let go of her and poked his head inside the altered car. She saw him open a box and inside were a lot of jewelry and it glittered in the sun.
Diamond bracelets?
As the girl watched the guy picked one of the bracelets randomly and picked up a card from the little folder in the box. He then gave them to her. The girl saw the Hermès logo in the card. "If you give the card, they’ll let you chose a limited-edition purse."
The guy then pushed her back and got inside the car. Leaving her stranded on the hot asphalt, the car zoomed off.
"Hey! At least drop me at a bus stop!" The girl waved her hand.
"Hey, Douchebag!" she shouted at the jet that was accelerating in the airstrip for takeoff. "Tell them to drop me off!" she tried to shout over the sound of the jet engine.
She stomped her foot as the jet took off. "Sh*t!" she cussed fisting her hands. The card in her hand crunched and the diamonds hurt her hand. She quickly kept the bracelet inside her purse and fixed the crumpled card. This card is worth at least $200,000.
She kept the card inside her purse. Looking at the bracelet and the card, her face relaxed. She shrugged. "Not bad," she mumbled and walked out of the airstrip.
-----
"What?" Leonardo looked at Ignazio Salvo boring a stare at him.
"Your father told you not to go there. He won’t be happy you’re breaking his order, young master. I..."Ignazio signed seeing the blank eyes of Leonardo.
He was not listening to even one word. Look at him fanning himself with the pictures of women who belong to other men!
"I like this one better," Leonardo threw the pictures on Ignazio’s lap.
Ignazio sighed seeing the bright obsidian eyes that shimmered even in that photograph. He had to end up marking the lion’s wife.
"The other one’s missing something..." Leonardo wriggled his fingers. "She’s...fat!"
"Boss does not want you to continue the family tradition. Times are changing and~" Ignazio shut up seeing Leonardo glaring at him. "It’s...your father asked you not to get involved with these women and..."
"The day has yet to come for anyone to stop me, Iggy," he leaned and patted Ignazio’s cheek.
Ignazio gulped and leaned back. "Button up," he said furrowing his brows. He didn’t understand why it is hard for him to button up his shirt. He’s not a woman to show his bellybutton for others to enjoy.
Who wants to look at his bare chest?
"Scared of this, Iggy?" Leonardo pulled out the little pocketknife from his suit pocket. He pressed the button and the blade popped out.
Ignazio shook his head in disbelief. "As if!"
