Chapter 102: Drama Queen

Chapter 102: Drama Queen

"Keep on pretending, Leo," Lionel scoffed. "You are a pimp! You are a r*pist! You are enabling and protecting a r8pist! At least he can’t get it up anymore!"

Lionel walked to the door and opened it.

"Goodbye, Leo... It was good knowing you," he banged the door close and walked out.

"F*cking drama queen!" Leander scoffed and sat on the couch running his fingers through his hair.

Lionel glared at Steve who was standing by the doorway, blocking it. "Wasn’t Russo your cousin? Do you know why he died after the Abenney fire?" Lionel asked.

Steve turned his face away clearly showing his intent on not answering him.

"I hope the money’s good. I wouldn’t have been able to digest the blood money from my cousin’s killer!"

Lionel stormed off.

Lionel already figured out that Minerva or Darcia or whatever her real name, was the only witness to that horrifying crime Evander and Barnabas committed in that orphanage. Peter is influential, but the Church has influence too. If that crime got filed as a complaint, even the Kastello family wouldn’t have survived the ramifications.

How can they justify their heir and consigliere r*ping and murdering a fourteen-year-old lame girl? Especially when they were trying to "buy" their lands? No way that could have been buried with their influence. They would be crucified in the court of public opinion and the government would have been forced to take action too. They’d need a fall guy as Peter won’t throw Barnabas under the bus and certainly not Evander.

But there was a witness!

He got the reason the Kastello family burned an elementary school and an orphanage. They thought that the witness was dead and they had successfully buried the story.

Ha! Karma’s a b*tch!

And she might be the one who castrated Evander. But why did she leave Barnabas?

He had no pity for Evander or Barnabas. In fact, he wouldn’t mind helping that woman if she asks for it. And she is smart, isn’t she? Even with everything, she managed to wrap Leander around her little finger. She’s not even that beautiful.

He then remembered her eyes.

She is beautiful enough.

And she is not that smart. She’s someone who doesn’t know how to pretend or be cunning. She wouldn’t have seduced Leander. It’s the other way around.

The story she said...

He still needed closure. He kind of regretted storming off like that. He needs to learn the ending.

What happened to Leander Kastello in her story?

He knew she thinks that Leona died. She did say that she saw Leona for the last time through her window.

Ha! The fire...

Peter... what else are you hiding? And how is my father involved in that fire?

Viviana walked downstairs with careful steps. She heard the door close behind her and she didn’t know what those two were going to talk about. She had something more important to worry about.

Where are the cats at?

She carefully walked downstairs. Katerina was sitting on a chair near the stairs. She didn’t know if Katerina was here the whole time or if she returned just then.

"Umm... Kastello asked for a beer from the kitchen," she said.

Katerina pointed her finger and Viviana followed that direction. The kitchen was indeed there. There was a couple of kitchen staff preparing the lunch. One was the woman who brought her the chair.

"Hello," Viviana waved her hand. She had not interacted with people for a long time and she felt awkward at a single hello. But she was put to ease by the smiles of both women.

"The beer...?" Viviana asked. She could only speak broken sentences and she already felt her cheeks burning.

"Here," the woman kindly handed over a chilled beer.

"Thanks," Viviana smiled with a nod and walked backward. She chuckled awkwardly as her back hit the wall. She then turned and ran her way back.

She heard a loud bang and she looked outside. Lionel had slammed close his car door that loudly. He looked pretty mad as he raced out of the house.

She walked up the stairs. She wondered if Lionel and Leander had a fight, and she didn’t know what to feel about it.

Maybe she should be happy that the Waldorf family and the Kastello family wouldn’t be as close as before. The Kastello family won’t have an ally anymore. That is good for what is to come.

She knew it is too far-fetched for her to think that way, but she couldn’t help but feel happy about it.

But when she stood by the door, with the cold beer in her hand, she was scared to get in.

What mood will Leander be in?

Did he really lose his friend?

Rather than getting scared or happy, she felt sad.

Okay, beer is a medicine...

She took in a deep breath and walked in. Her heart sank seeing Leander leaning at the back of the couch. His eyebrows were tightly furrowed, and he was rubbing his forehead.

He was obviously stressed.

She silently sat by his side. He turned his face to her side, but he didn’t open his eyes. "Headache?" she asked.

Leander nodded.

She placed the beer down and stood up. Leander looked at her peeling his eyes open a little. She was walking behind him.

What is she going to do? he wondered.

She grabbed his hands and placed them on his lap. She then positioned his head comfortably on the backrest of the couch.

"What are~"

"Shhhh... just relax..." she shushed him to silence even before he finished his sentence.

She gently massaged his shoulders so as to set him in the mood and after he relaxed, she massaged his forehead with her nimble fingers.

Leander was in deep thought. He didn’t know how much Lionel knows. He wanted to ask her, but then he didn’t want to give her any ideas in case she didn’t tell Lionel anything. For some reason., she is under the impression that he is going to kill her.

There is a chance she told Lionel everything.

He was stressed and that gave him a headache.

But her fingers...

Before he knew it, he was so relaxed he almost fell asleep.
