Chapter 103: What Did I Do?

Chapter 103: What Did I Do?

There was something in her fingers. Or maybe it was her warmth he could feel as the crown of his head touched those soft pillows on her chest.

Was it intentional, he did wonder. In the morning too she had it right in front of his face making him feel all sorts of ways. And now...

Sigh!

Seriously, it’s a sin to be this perfect, he thought. Her height as opposed to his height had many advantages. When was the last time he enjoyed a massage, he didn’t remember. He used to visit massage parlors in the past and he stopped going there as the women there tried to take advantage of him. When he tried to ask for male masseuses, rumors of a different kind started to spread.

Maybe he can train her to be his masseuse. She is already so competent.

He’s found that she’s competent in a lot of things. She did a pretty good job of cleaning and bandaging his wounds too. She’s competent at other things too, like cutting off the d*ck of men.

But the way she acts with him...

He opened his eyes.

Viviana’s fingers hurt a bit as she has been sluggish for a lot of time. But she endured. Why she was doing that, she didn’t know. She learned this from Father Patrick. Her father loved her massage after a long tiring day too. She was pretty confident about her skills.

Maybe she wanted him to say that he liked her massage?

When his eyes opened, her heart started to pound out of excitement. His eyes when looked upside down looked different and bigger than usual. As the indoor lighting fell in his dark iris, she saw the gold streaks that mesmerizes her each time. She wanted to look into his eyes at sunset at a beach.

She didn’t know why that thought came to her mind. But she wanted to watch his eyes as the sun sets on the horizon. That would make one lasting memory.

"What?" she asked as he was not saying anything. He was looking deeply and she wetted her lips and fixed her hair behind her ears.

"You..." he reached out his hand and held her cheek.

Viviana winced as his warm hand ended on her cheek. His eyes were still trained on her. She could see the bloody lines in the whites of his eyes getting more pronounced as he stared at her without even blinking.

Taking in a deep breath, he sat straight taking the warmth of his hands with him leaving her to shiver a bit. He gestured for her to stand in front of him and she did what she was told. She was nervous for some reason as if she had done something wrong. But she didn’t recall doing anything wrong.

Biting her lips, she stood in front of him, clasping her hands together. She saw his eyes turning distant as he looked at her and a shiver went down her spine. She wanted to hug herself but she was too scared to even move.

She was scared to see the little warmth she used to see in his eyes left. He was once more the guy she used to see in pictures—the young lion of the Kastello family.

She knew it is time.

She took in a deep breath and looked at him hoping that he will keep his word to give her an easy death.

"I lost a friend today," he said, his plain tone didn’t match the weight of the words he uttered.

She in a way envied the level of control he had over his emotions. Or he never valued their friendship much.

But why did they fight?

"I’m sure Mr. Yannis won’t stay angry~"

"What did you tell him?" Leander asked in an interrogative tone.

Viviana’s heart skipped a beat. If he is asking about this to her, did they fight because of her?

"It was this story I heard from a friend... that’s all we talked about. The story of~"

"It’s not what you said... It’s what you didn’t say..." Leander said and she looked at him confused.

"Your friend?" Leander asked.

Lionel is very smart. He would have figured out the truth even if she didn’t say anything just by observing her body language.

"Yeah," she bowed her head.

Can’t he just kill her and get on with it?

"So, why does Lionel think that the abuse that you mentioned actually happened and that my brother was the perpetrator?" Leander asked.

His tone was calm and steady. She had noticed that whenever he is this calm, he will do something so grandiose that everyone gets tongue-tied. What will he do now?

And he is asking a very good question. She rubbed her face wondering how she should handle it.

"Answer me!" Leander raised his voice and she winced.

"Yes," Viviana looked at him. "It was an actual story of an orphan. It was an actual story of a poor girl who wanted to be a doctor when she grew up to help people like herself. But two pigs chewed her out when she was just fourteen! And yes, it was your brother and that pig who whispers in your wicked don’s ears! And yes, I know it for sure. Because I was the one under the bed watching it happen unable to do anything because I was f*cking 7! I was scared to even breathe loudly fearing that I might be next... there... There’s your reason why I did what I did to your brother!"

Her hands trembled and her throat hurt as she tried to control her emotions.

"You got your closure. Do you know how she looked after those two left her?" she looked at him and tears dripped from her face. "F*cking pigs! F*cking..." she fisted her hands and her entire face trembled with anger.

"What did I do?" Leander asked. "Even if what you say about my brother is true, what did I do wrong? How did I wrong you? Why did you cause a rift between me and my friend?"

Viviana scoffed.
