Chapter 92: Chapter 92 Look What Good You’ve Done!

Chi Yue was flustered.

She had no idea what means Fu Rongyin had used to convince others that they were husband and wife, nor did she know how he persuaded the manager to come and knock on the door with him.

Worried about making a scene, Chi Yue braced herself and let them in.

After closing the door, she stood behind it, her gaze wary.

Fu Rongyin looked at her, "Why didn’t you open the door for me?"

"Why should I open the door for a man with improper intentions towards me?"

Fu Rongyin couldn’t help but laugh out of irritation, "Is it really that I have improper intentions, or is it that you’re more eager for my muscles? Chi Yue, you should speak with some conscience."

Chi Yue’s ears burned at his words.

She did indeed favor his physique, his muscles.

Fu Rongyin was a very disciplined person. Even though she never saw him exercising, he had maintained a great body for ten years straight. Almost every time, she favored his muscles, you could say she was unable to keep her hands off them.

She had thought he wouldn’t notice these little details, but unexpectedly...

"Why didn’t you come to me when you ran into trouble today?" The man sat on the couch, his long legs casually sprawled, making the already small space feel even more cramped.

Chi Yue still stood behind the door, her gaze cold, "I can handle it myself."

Fu Rongyin’s eyebrows lifted slightly, "It seems I’ve underestimated you. I didn’t know you had such a composed side."

"Mr. Fu, what on earth do you want to do?"

They had clearly agreed to break it off. So what was this all about now?

Fu Rongyin lifted his eyes, "Come here."

Chi Yue didn’t move.

Fu Rongyin narrowed his eyes again, "Chi Yue."

His voice was low, naturally alluring, but carried an irresistible force.

Chi Yue’s scalp tingled, and the corners of her eyes reddened, "Can you please not provoke me anymore? We have no future, we never will, and I don’t want to waste my time here."

She had already started taking over her mother’s business. Once she got the hang of it, she planned to quit her job as an appraiser and focus on managing the business.

She didn’t want to waste time on things that wouldn’t bear fruit.

"Today, it was you who provoked me first."

Chi Yue denied it, "I did not!"

"If you hadn’t appeared in front of me, none of this would have happened."

For a moment, Chi Yue didn’t know what to say.

Thinking about how hard she tried to escape his clutches, only to barge into his territory time and time again, she felt wronged for the first time.

Thinking about everything she had gone through from the time Bai Qing fell ill until now, Chi Yue’s eyes welled up with tears.

She was very fair-skinned; even a slight hint of emotion was clearly visible on her face.

Fu Rongyin’s gaze had been on her the whole time, so the instant her eyes reddened, he saw it.

He frowned slightly, "Why are you crying?"

Had he remained silent, it would have been better, but the moment he spoke, Chi Yue’s eyes brimmed with tears.

She didn’t say anything, just looked at him.

The two stayed in a standoff for a while until Fu Rongyin eventually gave in.

The room wasn’t big. With a stretch of his long arms, he drew her into his embrace and started wiping away her tears with a furrowed forehead.

Chi Yue’s tears fell more fiercely, but she didn’t make a sound.

Suddenly, Fu Rongyin thought of that night, how she hid under the covers crying, silent just like now.

He sighed deeply, holding her face, "Cry again and I’ll kiss you."

Chi Yue immediately stopped crying, staying quietly in his arms, daring not to move.

If anyone were to see this scene, they’d think Fu Rongyin had lost his mind.

The always aloof man, looking so tender.

That night, Fu Rongyin did nothing; he just held her under the covers, purely sleeping.

The next day.

When Chi Yue woke up, Fu Rongyin was already gone.

If it weren’t for the warmth he had left beside her, she would have doubted whether last night was just a dream.

After getting up, washing up, and having breakfast, Chi Yue prepared to go get samples from her next client.

Since all her clients were in this city, she didn’t need to go far. She had bought a ticket for the evening flight, so she took her luggage with her when she left.

While waiting for her car in front of the hotel, Chi Yue saw Fu Rao again.

Fu Rao got out of the car, slamming the door behind him with force, "Chi Yue, what the hell do you want?"

Chi Yue frowned, "I don’t know what you are talking about."

"You don’t know?" Fu Rao threw a stack of photos at her, "Take a look at the good deed you’ve done!"
