Chapter 461: Chapter 461: She Is Not a Qualified Mom
"What should we do? What should we do?" Yolanda Greenwood was frantic, her whole body shaking.
"Don’t panic, Gabriel should still be in the amusement park," Adam Sterling remained calm, "Okay, you call Cooper Coldson, and I’ll find the amusement park staff. With more people, we’ll definitely find Gabriel."
"Okay, okay." Yolanda unintentionally started to cry, "Adam, thank goodness you’re here."
"Alright, let’s split up and communicate by phone," Adam still holding Little Ella, "Ella will stay with me."
"Okay." Yolanda went to a less crowded area, trembling as she took out her phone to call Cooper Coldson.
Cooper Coldson quickly answered, "Hello? Yolanda?"
"Cooper, you... you need to bring people here," Yolanda couldn’t help but start crying softly, "Gabriel is missing, Gabriel is missing."
"Don’t worry, stop crying for now. Where are you? I’m bringing people over right away." Cooper Coldson immediately got up and called Richard Reyes to leave together.
"At the amusement park, I wanted to take him out to play, and he got mad at me and ran away. I can’t find him now." Yolanda’s voice was extremely aggrieved, "It’s all my fault, all my fault, I didn’t watch him properly."
"Yolanda, Gabriel is a smart kid, there shouldn’t be an issue. I’ll be there soon, wait for me at the entrance." Cooper comforted her for a while until Yolanda’s emotions stabilized before he hung up the phone.
Speeding all the way, Richard Reyes called over twenty people, heading to the amusement park together.
Upon arrival, Cooper Coldson saw Yolanda standing helplessly and couldn’t help feeling heartbroken. He ran a few steps forward, "Yolanda, how is it?"
"The announcement is continuously broadcasting the missing person notice, and the amusement park staff are helping to search," Yolanda’s eyes reddened again as she spoke, "but there’s still no news."
Richard Reyes frowned slightly, "There are too many tourists, President Coldson, I’ll contact them to disperse the tourists."
"Go ahead." Cooper Coldson nodded and then looked at Yolanda, "It’s okay, don’t worry too much, let’s search together."
"I’m sorry!" Yolanda sobbed.
"Don’t say that, I know you didn’t mean for this to happen, it’s an accident..." Cooper patted Yolanda’s back, "No one blames you."
"No, it’s not that." Yolanda shook her head desperately, not knowing what to say.
Soon, the amusement park’s visitors were dispersed, and more than forty people were searching for Little Gabriel together. The announcement repeatedly played information, asking Little Gabriel to call an adult.
Finally, Cooper Coldson received a call from the child.
"Dad, I’m in the mine tunnel."
"Okay, good boy, Dad is coming right away." Cooper immediately asked the staff where the mine tunnel was, realizing it was part of an amusement project called Gold Miner, with a fake mine tunnel set up.
Cooper informed Yolanda, and the staff led him to the mine tunnel.
At the entrance of the mine tunnel, Cooper saw that Yolanda had already arrived, and Little Gabriel was standing across from Yolanda.
"Mom, I didn’t lie." Little Gabriel said, feeling somewhat aggrieved.
"Gabriel, Mommy believes you, Mommy believes you." At this moment, Yolanda truly believed Little Gabriel. The Gabriel she knew didn’t seem like a child who would lie or throw tantrums, especially to her.
She squatted down and pulled Little Gabriel into her arms, "Gabriel, it’s Mommy’s fault, I’m sorry, can you forgive Mommy?"
Little Gabriel didn’t seem very happy, just said calmly, "I didn’t blame Mommy."
Whether Mom truly believed him or not, there’s only one bad guy, and that’s the bad uncle.
"Good boy, Gabriel is so good!" Yolanda wiped her tears, still feeling uneasy seeing the child’s reaction.
She noticed Cooper Coldson coming over, so she let go of Little Gabriel and stood up, not expecting Little Gabriel to throw himself into Cooper’s arms.
"Dad!" Little Gabriel actually started to cry.
Cooper Coldson frowned in distress, crouching down to apologize to Little Gabriel, "Gabriel, what’s wrong?"
"I missed Dad." Little Gabriel clung to Cooper’s neck, "I don’t ever want to be apart from Dad again."
Cooper instinctively looked at Yolanda.
Yolanda forced a smile. To Little Gabriel, Cooper was the competent dad, and she... was not a competent mom.
She had only brought Little Gabriel home for a day, and the child already didn’t want to stay with her.
She sighed softly, reflecting on everything that happened since Gabriel arrived. If Gabriel hadn’t lied, then Adam... would he really play mind games with a child?
Yolanda was a bit bewildered, actually, ever since the day of the sports meet, she often felt like Adam had changed into a different person.
Soon, everyone gathered at the amusement park entrance.
Little Ella was lying on Adam Sterling’s head, somewhat reluctantly saying, "Now there’s no need to queue, and we have to go back?"
"Dad," Little Gabriel immediately asked Cooper Coldson, "can we play a bit longer before going back?"
He lowered his head, feeling guilty, "It’s all my fault that sister didn’t get to play properly."
"Silly boy, of course, you can, you can play however you like." Cooper looked at Yolanda, "Let the kids play a while longer. The amusement park won’t be taking any other guests today either."
Yolanda looked at Adam Sterling, using her eyes to seek his opinion.
"Of course, it’s a waste not to enjoy when we’ve cleared the entire amusement park." Adam’s tone was noticeably sassy. He put Little Ella down and gave her a push, "Go ahead, play to your heart’s content."
Little Ella, not realizing something was wrong, didn’t run off but looked up cautiously at Adam, "Won’t Dad play with us?"
"Dad is tired." Adam turned and walked towards the lounge.
Little Ella wanted to follow but also wanted to play, standing there with a confused expression like a little bun.
"Ella, go play with your brother, let Dad rest a while." Yolanda squatted in front of the little one, "Go ahead, Dad’s fine."
"Ella, how about Uncle Coldson going with you and your brother to play?" Cooper also walked over.
Little Ella’s eyes visibly brightened, but then she seemed to remember something and shook her head lightly.
"Then how about Uncle Reyes?" Richard Reyes stepped forward, "Uncle Reyes can also buy you ice cream and all kinds of toys, how about that?"
"Okay." Little Ella finally nodded in agreement and ran over to hold Little Gabriel and Richard’s hands.
"President Coldson, I’ll take them, don’t worry." Richard Reyes said with a smile.
"Alright, be careful." Though Cooper felt a little hurt, Richard was his man, and seeing Little Ella willing to accept Richard made him feel it was good.
So, Richard Reyes carried Little Ella and led Little Gabriel, heading to the amusement area together.
At the entrance, only Cooper Coldson and Yolanda remained. Yolanda looked towards the lounge direction, her expression somewhat complex.
"What exactly happened?" Cooper couldn’t help asking, "Does it have to do with Adam?"
Yolanda nodded and explained what happened last night and what she saw just now.
"Do you think... Gabriel would lie?"
