Chapter 425: Chapter 425: Husband Makes Up for Everything He Owes You

Caleb Sullivan felt unprecedentedly carefree. He knew Yolanda Greenwood had started her own company, and he used to feel inferior in front of her. But now that he discovered the internet celebrity their company signed was actually Yolanda’s daughter, he felt he had finally won.

He wanted to rush in front of Yolanda and ask her, "How does it feel to sell your daughter? Pretending to be wealthy, yet not hesitating to disregard even your daughter for money."

But he knew he couldn’t. If Yolanda turned around and told Lola Gold, considering Lola’s temperament, she might mess up his good job.

Caleb Sullivan now only tells his family that he has been promoted and had a salary increase. He wants Lola Gold to get used to the rich lifestyle first, and then tell her the truth. He believes she won’t act impulsively then.

"Vice President Sullivan?" Daisy Dawson saw Caleb looking very pleased, guessing the other was also satisfied, "Is this photo okay?"

"Who said it’s okay?" Caleb snapped back to reality, throwing the photo into the trash, "Who instructed you to take the photo like this? Do you think you’re a trendy photo studio? Is this some children’s portrait of Little Ella?"

"..." Daisy quickly shook her head, "No, no, Vice President Sullivan, that’s not what I meant."

"Don’t forget what product we’re promoting," Caleb questioned Daisy, "Do any of those photos you just showed relate to safety?"

Daisy frowned, "So Vice President Sullivan means..."

"We need to shoot some photos showcasing the safety of our product. We can’t just make them look like portraits from a studio; no one wants to see how cute the child is. They want to see our product."

Caleb put on a very professional demeanor, "Don’t forget, this skinwear costs thousands for a single piece; parents won’t casually spend that kind of money."

"Alright, I’ll contact them to shoot another set," Daisy said as she left, glancing at the trash cautiously, "Vice President Sullivan, personally, I quite liked those photos, can I..."

Caleb raised his chin, "If you want them, pick them up yourself."

"Thank you, Vice President Sullivan." Daisy didn’t care about the trash. She hurriedly picked up the photos and left, looking disheveled.

As she walked away, she looked at the photos dejectedly. Little Ella was too adorable; even though the little one was dressed simply in the skinwear, she still looked incredibly endearing. She thought if it were another child, it wouldn’t have the same effect.

After pondering it over, she felt perhaps Caleb’s suggestion was correct. They should try to shift the focus to highlight the safety of the skinwear; she needed to think carefully about how to shoot.

In the office, Caleb called Lola, "Lola, didn’t I just get promoted? Let’s find a time to treat Yolanda’s family to dinner. I’ll host."

"Great, I’ve been missing Ella a bit anyway. How about tonight?" Lola was particularly happy, "Thank you, Honey."

"What do you want to eat tonight?" Caleb savored the feeling, "Anything you want, Honey. I’ll make up for the past when I neglected you."

Lola helplessly said, "Honey, it doesn’t have to be too expensive. You’ve just been promoted. For now, focus on settling into your job. Once your position is more stable, we can eat whatever we want. It’s best to be a bit cautious now."

"No need to be cautious. Trust me, Honey, this Vice President position is set for me," Caleb said proudly, "And let me tell you, I might be promoted to director next month."

"So soon?" Lola found it incredible.

"Of course. Well, these workplace matters are beyond what an unemployed person like you would understand," Caleb said, appearing very busy, "I have to go to a meeting. Once you’ve decided where to go, tell me, and I’ll make the reservations."

After hanging up, Lola felt it was curious but didn’t think much more. She immediately sent a message to Yolanda Greenwood, [Yolanda, Caleb has been promoted to Vice President. We’re having dinner with you, Adam, and Ella tonight.]

[Congrats!] Yolanda quickly replied.

[What would you like to eat? Caleb said you can order anything. Don’t hold back; make him pay dearly. Consider it a welcome dinner for Adam.]

[You all decide what to eat. Lola, I’m busy now, let me know once you’ve booked. See you tonight!]

Lola finally settled on a western restaurant, averaging around two hundred per person. Although Caleb said it was too cheap, she thought it just right, as Caleb hadn’t received his first month’s salary yet, and there wasn’t much room for extravagance.

Yolanda, Adam, and Little Ella, the three of them, arrived ten minutes late.

"Sorry, Lola, there was a sudden situation at the exhibition, and I left late. Besides, I got stuck in traffic. I sincerely apologize." Yolanda looked at Caleb Sullivan, "I really apologize."

"No worries. It’s only ten minutes. We’ve just arrived not long before," Lola stood up and took Little Ella in her arms, "Oh, our little Princess has gotten heavier, hasn’t she? Is it because Dad has been bringing lots of tasty food every day."

Caleb chuckled lightly, "Indeed you were late. A simple apology won’t do; you two are penalized with three glasses."

"Caleb!" Lola glared at him.

"It’s okay," Yolanda got up casually, "It’s only red wine, three glasses are fine. I’ll drink; Adam still has to drive."

Adam pulled her aside, "Let me drink, you can drive us back."

"No need." Yolanda continued looking at Caleb, "Just consider it my congratulatory toast for your promotion and salary increase, reaching the peak of success."

Saying so, she tilted her head back and finished the glass, ready to pour the second.

"Yolanda, stop pouring. One glass is enough." Lola kicked Caleb under the table, but he still had a playful demeanor and showed no intention to stop.

Lola gritted her teeth in frustration.

"It’s alright, I’m just a bit thirsty." Yolanda noticed the exchanged glances between Lola and Caleb and didn’t want Lola to argue with Caleb because of her.

In Lola and Caleb’s marriage, initially Caleb was just an ordinary employee, and after Lola stopped streaming, she opened a small online store. Both were on par in terms of earning power. But now that Caleb suddenly got promoted to Vice President, the situation was evidently different.

There’s not much Yolanda could do to help Lola. She couldn’t create more trouble for her.

She indifferently tugged at the corner of her mouth, picked up the second glass, and was about to gulp it down when a large hand stopped her.

Yolanda originally closed her eyes, not even opening them to see who it was, when she heard Caleb’s ingratiating voice ring out.

"President Coldson? What brings you here?"

Yolanda turned her head, seeing that it was Cooper Coldson who had taken her wine glass. She instinctively frowned, "Mr. Coldson, what are you doing? Please give the wine back to me."

"Is President Coldson alone?" Caleb’s attention was entirely on Cooper, "Waiter, help us with another set of tableware; we have an honored guest."
