Chapter 420: Chapter 420: He Always Wants to Do Something for Her

Richard Reyes went back and exaggerated Caleb Sullivan’s shameless behavior to Cooper Coldson.

Cooper Coldson frowned, "What position did you arrange for him?"

"The deputy marketing manager over at Children’s Wear Group," Richard Reyes explained, "Just as the previous deputy manager resigned to return to his hometown."

"Alright, let him start working," Cooper Coldson paused, then added, "If he really does well, give him a director position."

"How is that possible?" Richard Reyes shook his head helplessly, "A person like that... absolutely useless."

He looked at Cooper Coldson and sighed, "President Coldson, we actually have no obligation to help him. He clearly came behind Lola Gold’s back, besides, he has nothing with Miss Yolanda..."

"Alright, it’s just a position, no need to inform Lola Gold." Cooper Coldson continued to look over files; of course, he knew helping Caleb Sullivan wouldn’t bring Yolanda Greenwood any real benefits, but it made him feel a bit better.

Currently, Yolanda Greenwood wouldn’t accept any kindness from him, but he always wished to do something for her, anything.

"Understood, then I’ll go get to it." Richard Reyes couldn’t persuade any further, "I’ll make the arrangements over at the Children’s Wear Company."

"Go ahead."

After leaving the hospital, Yolanda Greenwood went to the exhibition site and worked busily all day, returning home just in time for dinner.

Adam Sterling and Little Ella had prepared dinner together and were very happy to see her finally come home.

"Mom, Dad made your favorite sweet and sour ribs and beef with bell peppers," Little Ella praised Adam Sterling enthusiastically, "It’s super delicious, I’ve already tasted it for you."

Adam Sterling took Yolanda Greenwood’s bag with a smile, "Wash your hands, we’re about to eat."

"You’ve worked hard." Yolanda Greenwood lowered her head and picked up Little Ella, "Dad made so much delicious food, did Ella help?"

"Yes, I’ve been chatting with Dad all along, telling him many interesting kindergarten stories. Dad listened very happily." The little one was very proud.

Yolanda Greenwood was amused, "Didn’t you already tell those stories to Dad on video before?"

She gently pinched Little Ella’s nose, "I think you’re just making trouble."

"Not at all, Dad likes listening." Little Ella looked at Adam Sterling and said coquettishly, "Dad, am I right?"

"Yes, now get down, let Mom wash her hands, we need to eat." Adam Sterling responded with a smile.

"Oh, okay." Little Ella quickly let her mom put her down.

Yolanda Greenwood went to the kitchen to wash her hands and saw Adam Sterling had made several dishes, "You didn’t have to make so many dishes, you’re on holiday, take a good rest."

"It’s nothing, if I don’t do something, I feel uncomfortable."

Yolanda Greenwood smiled, "You can go out with Brother Noah, no need to stay home all the time, Ella is going to kindergarten tomorrow."

"Tomorrow, alright, I’ll go out tomorrow." Adam Sterling asked concernedly, "By the way, how is Gabriel?"

"Already discharged, should be fine." Yolanda Greenwood remembered her agreement with Little Gabriel and asked Little Ella during dinner, "Ella, after dinner, shall we video call Gabriel?"

"No!" Unexpectedly, the little one bore a strong grudge, refusal was swift and decisive.

"Ella, your brother has realized his mistake and apologized to Mom today, you can’t be capricious, making your brother sad." Yolanda Greenwood’s expression became more severe.

Little Ella immediately pouted, looking like she was about to cry.

"Ella, be good," Adam Sterling exchanged a glance with Yolanda Greenwood and then held Ella on his knee, "Is Ella still angry with her brother?"

Little Ella nodded, "He was rude to Dad, isn’t Dad upset anymore?"

Adam Sterling pretended to contemplate, "Dad is an adult, Gabriel is a child, how can an adult be angry with a child?"

Little Ella immediately looked at Yolanda Greenwood, as if asking why she was upset with her.

"Then when does Ella plan to forgive her brother?" Adam Sterling asked.

Little Ella sniffed, "Tomorrow."

"Alright, then tomorrow." Adam Sterling looked at Yolanda Greenwood, "Don’t pressure the child, explain it to Gabriel, and let them video call tomorrow. Otherwise, if Ella is unwilling, they may end up arguing during the call."

Yolanda Greenwood realized it made sense, "Alright, then tomorrow, tomorrow you must video call your brother."

But thinking of Little Gabriel’s demeanor during the day, she couldn’t help but feel heartache, find it impossible to tell him they couldn’t call today.

After dinner, Adam Sterling took Little Ella to the bedroom to play while she sat alone in the living room, restless.

Sure enough, Cooper Coldson’s video call came.

Yolanda Greenwood took a deep breath and connected the call, and as expected, Little Gabriel was on the other end.

"Mom, have you finished eating?" Little Gabriel sat on the sofa, holding the phone, his expression somewhat wary.

"Finished." Yolanda Greenwood forced a smile.

Little Gabriel hesitated for a while before cautiously asking, "Where’s my sister?"

"Oh, your sister ate a lot tonight, your Uncle Sterling took her downstairs for a walk." Yolanda Greenwood lied hesitantly.

The little one’s eyes visibly dimmed, "Oh, when will she come back?"

"Just went out recently," Yolanda Greenwood coaxed with a smile, "How about this, wait until tomorrow for your sister to video call you?"

Little Gabriel’s head drooped lower, voice filled with disappointment, "Okay."

Clearly, he guessed that his sister was still angry and unwilling to video call.

After hanging up, Little Gabriel lay on the sofa crying loudly, and Isabella Ross, Cooper Coldson, and Christopher Coldson quickly came over.

"What’s wrong with Gabriel?" Isabella Ross was terrified.

Little Gabriel just cried incessantly, sobbing to the point of being unable to catch his breath, but didn’t answer his grandmother’s query.

Cooper Coldson saw the phone tossed aside and instantly understood, Little Gabriel had just asked for the phone to video call his sister, now obviously unsuccessful.

"It’s okay." Cooper Coldson picked up Little Gabriel, "Mom, Uncle, I’ll take him upstairs to sleep, don’t worry, Gabriel is okay."

He patted his son’s back lovingly and carried him upstairs.

Once in the bedroom, he carefully asked, "Is your sister not around?"

Little Gabriel nodded, crying while saying, "Sister is still angry, doesn’t want to video call me, wah wah wah..."

His crying tugged at Cooper Coldson’s heart.

"Gabriel, be good, sister has to go to kindergarten tomorrow, might have gone to sleep early, not really still angry." Cooper Coldson wiped his son’s tears, "And even if she really is still angry, she likes you so much, when you see her at kindergarten, apologize in person, everything will be fine."

The little one’s tears finally stopped, looking at Cooper Coldson hopefully, "Really? Can I go to kindergarten tomorrow then?"

"But your back..."

"Dad," Little Gabriel sniffed, "I want to go to kindergarten tomorrow, I need to apologize to my sister!"
