Chapter 421: Chapter 421: One Mom, Two Dads

Cooper Coldson lulled Little Gabriel to sleep, then returned to the first floor.

The living room was empty; Isabella Ross had already gone to rest, and Christopher Coldson and Noah Coldson were drinking at the bar in the dining area.

Cooper stepped forward, and Noah poured him a drink as well.

The three men silently drank one glass after another, without speaking, the atmosphere filled with sorrow.

Finally, half an hour later, Christopher Coldson felt the beginnings of intoxication, "Why is it that all the Coldson men are so unfortunate, good-looking, with a great family background and plenty of money, yet why is it that each one experiences unrequited love?"

Cooper Coldson sneered self-deprecatingly, "We reap what we sow."

"You two may reap what you sow, but don’t include me," Noah Coldson said as he downed another drink.

"Haha," Christopher Coldson chuckled, "You’re even worse, just a supporting character from start to finish."

"Yes, a supporting character," Noah Coldson swirled the wine in his glass, "never having gained, so there’s nothing to lose."

He looked at the two men in front of him, "If you had a chance to do it over, would you prefer to gain and then lose as you do now? Or be like me, never having gained at all?"

"Of course, to have it as it is now," Christopher Coldson said firmly, "I will never forget or want to forget the time with Lola."

After speaking, both turned to look at the silent Cooper Coldson.

Cooper remained silent for a long time before speaking bitterly, "I really don’t know, the years with Yolanda... it seems that for both her and me, the bitterness outweighed the sweetness..."

He grasped his head as if unable to bear it, "Moreover, she’s lost her memory now, it’s as if I’ve been loved and then completely forgotten, which feels... worse than death."

Once again, the three men fell into silent understanding, swallowing their bitterness with their drinks.

On the other side, Yolanda Greenwood finished freshening up and received a call from Daisy Dawson, saying that the marketing department was ready and Little Ella could come over to shoot an advertisement at any time.

"Alright, let’s do it this weekend, I’ll take her there." Hanging up, Yolanda Greenwood told Adam Sterling about this.

"Sounds great, I agree." Adam Sterling was an open-minded father, especially when it came to Little Ella’s wishes, he never stopped her.

"I knew it." Yolanda Greenwood shook her head with a smile, "You’ll spoil her sooner or later."

"What are you afraid of? She is the princess of our house, I’m willing to spoil her forever." Adam Sterling seemed unconcerned.

"Suit yourself." Yolanda Greenwood looked at Adam Sterling for a while, blushing slightly before speaking, "Aren’t you coming to sleep? There’s Ella between us..."

"Go to sleep, we have to get up early to take Ella to kindergarten tomorrow." Adam Sterling smiled and bade her goodnight.

"Alright, goodnight." Yolanda Greenwood sighed quietly and headed back to the bedroom.

The next morning, Yolanda Greenwood went to take Little Ella to kindergarten, only to find Little Gabriel was there too.

"Gabriel, why are you starting school so soon?" She was a bit worried, "Is your back completely healed?"

"Mom, I’m fine." Although Little Gabriel answered Yolanda Greenwood, his large eyes were nervously fixed on Little Ella.

Yolanda Greenwood immediately understood. Gabriel was eager to reconcile with Ella, and she couldn’t help but feel heartache, reminding Little Ella in her ear, "Ella, do you remember what I said yesterday? You can’t be mad at your brother today!"

Little Ella nodded; actually, she hadn’t been angry since yesterday. But she was afraid her dad would be sad, and she wanted to protect him.

She took quick steps with her short legs and ran over to Little Gabriel, "Brother, I’m not mad at you anymore."

"Sister!" Little Gabriel’s eyes lit up, and he immediately grew cheerful.

Little Ella continued, "But brother, you have to promise me not to be disrespectful to my dad anymore; he’s very good, very good to mom and me..."

The little girl tilted her head, seemingly understanding something just now, "Even though we have one mom and two dads, they’re all our family, right?"

Little Gabriel’s expression struggled when he heard that, looking at Yolanda Greenwood; he knew the bad uncle wasn’t his sister’s dad, but how could he tell her?

"Gabriel!" Yolanda Greenwood saw what the little guy was thinking and quickly shook her head, signaling him not to speak carelessly, or Ella would get angry again.

Little Gabriel understood his mom’s meaning and lowered his head, saying nothing.

"Alright, Ella, go ahead and hug your brother, and you’ll be reconciled." Yolanda Greenwood prompted.

So Little Ella stepped forward and hugged Little Gabriel, "Brother, you’re still my favorite brother."

Little Gabriel looked at Yolanda Greenwood, with his joyful eyes curved in happiness, especially cute.

When Yolanda Greenwood saw the two little ones reconciled at last she sighed a relief and left, reassured.

Meanwhile, Adam Sterling walked out and quickly arrived at the agreed location, where both Cooper Coldson and Noah Coldson were present.

This was a private teahouse, not crowded, and the environment was private and peaceful, very suitable for conversations.

"Sit," Noah Coldson spoke first.

Sure enough, he had predicted that Cooper Coldson and Adam Sterling would be very awkward upon meeting, now Noah felt so awkward he wanted to dig his toes into the ground.

Adam Sterling nodded at Cooper Coldson and sat next to Noah Coldson.

"There’s something Cooper wants to ask you," Noah started the conversation naturally, "let Cooper tell you."

Adam Sterling looked at Cooper Coldson.

"It’s about Gabriel," Cooper Coldson forced a smile, "the incident that day, whether you care or not, as his father I should apologize to you."

Adam Sterling shook his head and didn’t interrupt Cooper Coldson.

Cooper Coldson continued, "I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Gabriel... he’s autistic."

"I thought so." Adam Sterling nodded; indeed that day he felt something was off with the child, and as the topic reached his area of expertise, he immediately asked Cooper Coldson some questions.

Cooper Coldson was concerned about Little Gabriel, so naturally at this hour he didn’t have time to think about anything else, whatever Adam asked, he answered, and they seemed harmonious.

"Alright, let’s schedule another time, I’ll have a chat with him alone." Adam Sterling finally agreed to help.

"Thank you very much, I’ll arrange it," Cooper Coldson’s face was full of gratitude.

"Alright. Looks like you’ve talked about almost everything," Noah Coldson stood up, preparing to leave at the right moment, "The rest, I’m not comfortable staying to listen, I’ll go take a walk outside, you guys talk slowly."

He looked at the two with concern and added, "We’re not kids anymore, don’t resort to violence, or else I’m not helping anyone."

Adam Sterling chuckled, "Go on, go."

However, as Noah Coldson left, the room was instantly filled with awkwardness again, the two men looked at each other, momentarily speechless.

After a while, Cooper Coldson was the first to speak, "Dr. Sterling, what are your plans for the future?"
