Chapter 353: Chapter 353 Yolanda Greenwood, You’re Really Courting Death

"What did you just say?" Cooper Coldson’s face turned dark with anger. He strode over and grabbed the rescue team leader by the collar, yanking him up. "Say it again. Do you believe I won’t throw you in to feed the sharks?"

"Let go! Let go! Are you insane?" The rescue team leader struggled to break free. "Seriously, this is the deep sea. Trying to find one person here is more absurd than carving marks on a boat to find a sword."

"Say it again?" Cooper’s fury reached its peak. He looked as though he was truly about to throw the man overboard.

"President Coldson, calm down, please calm down!" Richard Reyes hurried forward, pulling Cooper to the side. He turned to the rescue team and barked, "Enough! Are you doing it or not? If not, get lost immediately!"

The group hesitated, exchanging glances. Clearly, they were still tempted by the money.

The team leader faltered slightly, his tone softening. "We’ll do it, but we need to rest for a bit first, right?"

He shot a glance at Cooper and drew Richard aside. "Listen, brother, don’t blame me for speaking bluntly, but the woman your boss wants to find..."

"You don’t need to say more," Richard cut him off with a deep sigh. "If you want the money, search diligently. Whether you find her or not is none of your business. If you don’t want the money, take your team and leave—immediately."

"Fine. Kindness thrown back in my face. You have money, you can be capricious, do whatever you want. I won’t say another word." The rescue team leader returned to his group and instructed them, "Rest for ten minutes, then continue the search."

Richard walked over to Cooper. "President Coldson, don’t get angry with them..."

"I don’t have time to be angry with them," Cooper said, his eyes scanning the vast, boundless sea. "Get more boats here. Expand the team to a hundred people. Rotate shifts to dive down and search. We must find her."

"..." Richard hesitated momentarily but ultimately didn’t object. "Alright, I’ll contact them immediately."

After returning to shore, Richard went to see Isabella Ross and explained the situation.

During Cooper’s absence over the past few days, Isabella had been handling Coldson Group’s affairs. Upon hearing that Cooper planned to expand the rescue efforts, her heart filled with worry.

"When are you going back? I’ll go with you." She had to find Cooper and convince him to come home.

"This afternoon, I’ll personally come to pick you up." Richard had intended for Isabella to persuade Cooper all along; he was at his wit’s end.

After leaving the old Coldson Family estate, Richard promptly began assembling a new rescue team to ensure the total personnel would reach a hundred.

Additionally, he contacted doctors, chefs, and other necessary support, preparing for the possibility of prolonged life at sea should Isabella fail to convince Cooper. Managing so many people was no small matter.

By the time all was ready, around 5 p.m., Richard brought Isabella and eight ships to set out again.

They found Cooper later that evening. The sea breeze was strong at night, and when Isabella saw her youngest son, Cooper Coldson, she nearly didn’t recognize him.

"Cooper?" She tentatively called out. Not far away stood a man unkempt with a scraggly beard, his hair wildly tousled by the wind, his face several shades darker from sunburn, and his frame gaunt and haggard.

Isabella’s heart ached unbearably. It had only been a few short days since Yolanda Greenwood’s accident, yet her son looked as though he’d visited Hades Palace himself.

"Cooper, what’s going on? Don’t you recognize Mom anymore?" She rushed forward, wrapping Cooper in her arms. "Cooper, look at Mom. Are you trying to scare her to death?"

Cooper’s face was expressionless, his voice devoid of emotion. "What are you doing here?"

Seeing Richard appear behind her, Cooper directed his ire toward him. "Why did you bring my mom here?"

"President Coldson, the Madam was very worried about you and insisted on seeing you in person." Richard avoided Cooper’s gaze, feeling guilty for his true motives.

"Cooper, I beg you, stop searching, and come home with me." Isabella clung to Cooper, sobbing uncontrollably.

"No. Yolanda is still waiting for me. I can’t give up." Cooper’s voice was unwavering.

"Cooper, please wake up, wake up!" Isabella’s cries were desperate. "Even if Yolanda jumped that day and didn’t die immediately, it’s been days now. How could she still be alive?"

Cooper’s whole body trembled. In the darkness, his eyes grew redder. "Even if she’s dead, I need to find her body."

"Cooper, don’t be foolish. This ocean’s tides ebb and flow. Even a living person who jumps in would get swept away and lost, let alone..." Isabella saw the look in Cooper’s eyes and couldn’t bring herself to finish her thought. "Cooper, listen to Mom. Come home. If you feel guilty or think you owe her, we’ll hold a proper funeral for her. Stop torturing yourself."

"No. I can’t give up. I won’t give up. No matter where she is, I have to find her." Cooper spoke mechanically, his resolve unchanged.

"Cooper, are you trying to drive your mom to death too?" Isabella was at her wit’s end. She stared right into his eyes, saying, "If you don’t come back with me today, I’ll jump in too. Then your rescue team can look for my body alongside hers. Do you..."

Before she could finish her threat, Cooper swayed and suddenly collapsed.

"Cooper, what’s wrong?" Isabella rushed to him.

"President Coldson, wake up!" Richard glanced toward the distance and shouted, "Get the doctor over here! Hurry, get the doctor!"

Struggling to lift Cooper, he explained, "Madam, since setting out to sea, President Coldson hasn’t eaten in two to three days or slept at all."

"What?" Isabella’s legs nearly gave way as she looked helplessly out at the sea, muttering, "Yolanda, you’re an accursed spirit. Where are you? If you truly came to claim a life, take mine instead. Please spare my son."

The doctor gave Cooper a simple examination and quickly administered glucose and a sedative.

"He needs to sleep properly; otherwise, if this continues, his body will completely break down."

Isabella and Richard escorted the doctor out.

"Madam, you’ve been through so much. Please rest; I’ll stay with President Coldson," Richard offered.

"No need, I’ll stay with him." Isabella looked at the scarred half of Richard’s face, her heart heavy with mixed emotions. "Assistant Reyes, after all these years, we’ve truly been lucky to have you."

"Madam, please don’t say that." Richard fumbled for words to comfort Isabella and finally said, "Madam, our boss is always blessed with good fortune. I believe this time will be no different—he’ll pull through."

Isabella nodded gratefully. "Do you think... Yolanda really jumped into the sea to commit suicide?"

"Maybe," Richard sighed deeply. "I visited Noah Coldson, and also Yolanda Greenwood and Lola Gold’s place. I can tell they’re genuinely devastated. Perhaps... Yolanda really is gone."
