Chapter 259: If Cooper Coldson Knew It Was His Child

Chapter 259: Chapter 259: If Cooper Coldson Knew It Was His Child

"What’s up?" Lola Gold was the first to ask.

Yolanda Greenwood grimaced with a bitter smile, "She wants me to come over to the old house for dinner tonight."

Lola Gold’s face was full of disbelief, "Has she been monitoring you or how else did she know the moment you landed?"

Yolanda Greenwood sighed lightly, appearing somewhat helpless because it seemed to be the case.

"It’s okay, I’ll go back with you," Noah Coldson said softly to comfort her.

So, they all first went to drop off their things at their residence and then Noah accompanied Yolanda back to the old house.

On the way, Noah brought up an old topic, "How have you been considering the suggestion I made before?"

"What suggestion?" Yolanda seemed completely at a loss.

"To have a fake marriage with me." Noah had suggested this to Yolanda a few times while overseas, but each time Yolanda had firmly refused.

He thought maybe Yolanda would change her mind now.

But Yolanda just smiled, "Big brother, stop joking about that kind of thing."

"Alright." Noah was not discouraged, but he just reminded Yolanda, "You can change your mind at any time."

Yolanda shook her head in resignation.

"Get some sleep, you’ve been on a plane all day," Noah said gently.

Yolanda nodded and then closed her eyes to rest for a while.

Soon, they arrived at the old house, and Noah woke Yolanda so the two could enter together.

"Big brother is back," as soon as they walked in, Melissa Greenwood greeted them warmly. She then looked at Yolanda’s belly and exclaimed with great exaggeration, "Oh my, Yolanda, your belly is so huge."

"It’s twins," Noah said proudly, "due in another two months."

Melissa Greenwood smirked and swept her eyes over the two of them ambiguously, "Yolanda, should I start calling you ’sister-in-law’ now?"

Yolanda noticed Cooper Coldson behind Melissa, clearly aware of their arrival.

"Stop it." She lowered her head and changed her shoes.

"Little Noah, Yolanda, you’re finally back." Isabella Ross stepped forward, looking at Yolanda’s belly, she was obviously very happy, "I heard it’s twins?"

Yolanda nodded, "Yes."

"That’s wonderful, a son and a daughter make the word ’good’." Isabella Ross turned to Cooper and Melissa, "You two should also hurry up and work on it."

"We get it, Mom!" Melissa was already calling her ’Mom,’ having changed her address.

The food was almost ready, and as soon as Yolanda and Noah arrived, Isabella Ross began directing everyone to start the meal.

During the meal, Melissa talked a lot, "Yolanda, those three months in America must have been tough? Thankfully, big brother was there, otherwise your mom would have been worried sick with you being pregnant and all by yourself."

Isabella Ross kept serving Yolanda food, "Indeed, just having Little Noah is not enough; he’s a man, it’s his first time being a dad, and he’s prone to make mistakes."

"Aunt Ross, honestly, I can take care of myself," Yolanda said with a smile.

"What foolish things to say, you’re eight months along, everything is inconvenient," Isabella Ross beckoned over somebody, "This is Aunt Bennett, she’ll go with you later to take care of you."

Yolanda’s face changed color, "There’s no need, if I need a postpartum doula, I’ll find one myself."

"I don’t trust the ones you find," Isabella Ross was still very assertive, "Or why don’t you move into the old house?"

"No need." Yolanda looked down, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

"Mom, Yolanda and I will sort these things out, you don’t need to worry," Noah immediately stood up to speak for Yolanda.

"If you’ll sort it out then I won’t worry," Isabella Ross sighed, "You haven’t registered your marriage yet, you work too much, how are you going to be with her all the time?"

"Alright then." Yolanda quickly accepted the postpartum doula, "I’ll go with Aunt Bennett later."

She feared the conversation would drag on and Isabella Ross would go on and on.

Her appetite wasn’t great, and after a few bites, she put her chopsticks down.

"I want to go upstairs to see Grandpa."

"Let’s take a walk outside to help with digestion," Melissa also set down her chopsticks, "At this time, the old master is still sleeping, it’ll be better if you go up later."

Isabella Ross nodded, "Yes, you go for a walk in the garden with Melissa."

"Alright." Yolanda was just about to ask how Little May was doing.

When Cooper and Melissa returned to the country, they had brought Little May with them.

"She’s doing well, she adapted quickly to life here, and she started kindergarten recently," Melissa seemed in good spirits.

"That’s good." Yolanda nodded, then asked, "Can I see her soon?"

"Of course," Melissa agreed readily, "How about Saturday? When she’s off, you can come pick her up."

"Okay." Yolanda followed up with another question, "How’s Dad doing?"

Melissa shook her head, "Not so good, he’s been in a coma, and the doctors say it’s very likely he won’t wake up."

Yolanda fell silent.

"How are the wedding arrangements going for you and big brother?" Now it was Melissa’s turn to ask.

Yolanda considered her answer before responding, "I need to get the divorce decree first, and only after registering our marriage with big brother can we hold the wedding ceremony. You know, with his special status, we can’t have the ceremony in advance."

Melissa was obviously displeased, "And the divorce? Didn’t you agree to file a lawsuit?"

"Yes, a judge has contacted me recently; the court will probably convene soon." Yolanda did not lie, she had been overseas previously, and many things were inconvenient. Now that she was back, the divorce with Cooper would also progress more quickly.

"You’d better hurry up, I’m running out of patience," Melissa glanced in the direction of the villa, "Now go see the old man, he should be awake by now."

Yolanda returned to the villa.

Everyone had finished eating and returned to the living room, chatting, with both Cooper and Noah present.

Yolanda went straight upstairs and knocked on Old Master Coldson’s door, "Grandpa, it’s me, Yolanda."

The door opened quickly.

Old Master Coldson had made it through the winter, which was a surprise to everyone. Now in early spring, he seemed to be doing even better.

Seeing Yolanda, he was clearly very pleased, "Come here, sit beside Grandpa, let me have a good look at you."

The caretaker moved a chair next to the bed and tactfully left, advising Yolanda, "Miss Greenwood, I’ll be right outside, just call if you need anything."

"Don’t worry." Yolanda nodded.

Old Master Coldson looked at Yolanda’s belly with a smiling face, "Time flies so fast, my little Yolanda is going to be a mother too."

"Yes, indeed, it’s quite fast." Yolanda’s eyes curved as she asked, "How have you been lately, Grandpa? Have you been cooperating with the treatment?"

"Of course." The old man was quite proud. He then asked Yolanda, "Do you know? Cooper brought back a little girl."

Yolanda knew, he was talking about May, she nodded.

"Cooper is so good to that child," the old man continued, "Cooper acts one way but feels another, he clearly loves children, yet he claims not to."

He looked at Yolanda’s belly, "Yolanda, if Cooper knew you were carrying his child, he would be extremely happy."
