Chapter 187: Chapter 187 Sunny Coldson is a Madman

In the dance floor, Lola Gold and Adam Sterling were dancing.

Lola Gold had learned dancing during her college days, so she danced quite well, but surprisingly Adam Sterling didn’t miss a beat either.

"It seems Dr. Sterling is also quite the Casanova," Lola Gold couldn’t resist teasing.

Adam Sterling slightly lifted the corner of his mouth, his tone frivolous, "Who hasn’t been young before?"

"Hahaha..." Lola Gold was completely amused, "Dr. Sterling, you’re not even thirty yet, right? Why are you acting all old and solemn?"

"You don’t understand, little girl," Adam Sterling sighed deeply. "Some people have died by twenty-seven, and all that remains is a shell."

"Pfft!" Lola Gold scoffed disdainfully.

After finishing a dance, the two went to look for Noah Coldson but were unexpectedly intercepted by Christopher Coldson.

"Is there something you need, Mr. Coldson?" Lola Gold clung to Adam Sterling’s arm and even cozied her head against him.

Adam Sterling’s body clearly stiffened for a moment, but he did not push her away.

Christopher frowned, "Lola Gold, don’t test my limits!"

"So what? You want to drag me away by force like your elder nephew did?" Lola laughed coldly. "Remember, I’m not bound to you by any legally protected marriage, so if you dare to touch me, I’ll call the police immediately!"

"Alright, why waste words on him? Let’s go," Adam suddenly spoke up, sounding jealous.

Lola was surprised for a moment but quickly went along with him, "Then let’s go over there, shall we? There aren’t many people, and it seems there’s a huge pool over there."

"Whatever you say," Adam indulged with a smile, pulling Lola away with him.

Christopher was infuriated behind them.

As soon as they were out of everyone’s sight, they burst into laughter.

"Dr. Sterling, oh, Dr. Sterling, you really are something! I’m impressed; I truly am!" Lola quickly gave him a thumbs up.

Adam quickly composed himself, asking seriously, "Did that guy cause the injury on your face?"

"You could tell it was done by someone?" Lola suddenly became nervous, worried that Yolanda might have seen it too.

Adam quickly understood her concern, "Don’t worry, Yolanda probably can’t tell, but I’m a psychological doctor as well as a military physician. I can tell whether it was from a beating or a car accident at a glance."

He asked again, "Did that guy really hit you?"

Lola shook her head, then bitterly nodded, "Sort of, he was an accomplice."

Adam didn’t quite understand, "But he... clearly cares about you."

"Cares?" Lola found it amusing, "If tolerating someone almost raping me counts as caring, then do you want that kind of concern, Dr. Sterling?"

Adam frowned in confusion; the patients he had seen were mostly those who suffered psychological trauma in real combat, rarely did he encounter such anomaly in relationships.

He shook his head, unable to resist sighing, "It seems that love is best left untouched."

"What brings such a statement, sir?" Suddenly, a somewhat unfamiliar voice rang out.

Lola turned to look and, to her surprise, it was Sunny Coldson approaching.

Adam paid no attention, looking at Lola, "Is she here for you?"

Lola nodded.

"If Miss Gold doesn’t mind, may we talk alone?" Sunny asked with a light smile.

Sunny thought for a moment and then told Adam, "Dr. Sterling, you go back first; Yolanda will probably be back soon. I’ll head over there in a moment."

"Are you sure you don’t need me here?" Adam looked at her.

"Yep, it’s fine."

Soon after, Adam left.

"Miss Gold is certainly young and attractive; Dr. Sterling seems no ordinary person either," Sunny watched Adam leave, implying something in her speech.

Lola had no hostility towards Sunny, but Adam’s words were clearly a warning against Sunny.

She had to be cautious too.

"Miss Coldson, what are you trying to say?" She didn’t pick up on Sunny’s lead and cut straight to the point.

Sunny chuckled softly and looked down, "Why are you so hostile towards me, Miss Gold?"

Lola was silent, frowning in irritation.

"Is it because of something Ethan Taylor said before he died?" Sunny appeared shocked.

"Ethan Taylor?" Lola went on high alert, "How do you know Ethan Taylor?"

"Of course I know Ethan Taylor," Sunny said cheerfully, "And it was I who told him about your unspeakable secret. Unfortunately, he misunderstood and thought you were the kind of woman anyone could touch."

She clicked her tongue twice, "Really foolish, not considering his own status."

Lola’s eyes widened in shock, so it was all because of Sunny that Ethan dared to treat her that way.

She stepped forward and slapped Sunny across the face, "You dare to harm me?"

The slap was swift and accurate, and Sunny’s face almost instantly swelled up, but she seemed not to be angry.

She even smiled at Lola Gold, "Of course, I dare!"

Then, to the utter shock of Lola Gold, Sunny jumped into the nearby swimming pool.

With a splash, it drew the attention of many onlookers.

Lola was truly startled; this cold weather, though the temperature here wasn’t low, jumping into a pool was definitely going to be chilly.

She stepped back in fright, suddenly feeling that this Sunny Coldson was a madwoman.

Soon, a staff member jumped in to rescue Sunny.

Drenched, with her face even more swollen, she looked at Lola pitifully.

People around immediately began accusing Lola.

"This woman must be crazy—to push someone into the pool in this cold weather could be deadly."

"Right, what can’t be resolved peacefully? To make such a scene, there must be some deep-seated grudge."

"This woman looks so familiar... I remember now; she’s that broadcaster known for her foul mouth, no good person at all."

With people chattering and recognizing Lola, they began to take her picture.

Lola shouted at the crowd, "Which of you saw me push her? She jumped in herself!"

At that moment, Christopher Coldson squeezed through the crowd and saw Lola and then saw Sunny with an extremely ugly look on his face.

"Christopher," Sunny spoke first, "don’t be angry, it’s my fault. I just wanted to have a word with Lola, but..."

She hung her head, tears trickling down.

Seeing this, Christopher didn’t utter another word and went up to Lola, delivering a slap across her face, "You went too far!"

Lola was stunned for a second before returning the slap, "I went too far? What do you know? Why do you have the right to hit me?"

"Lola Gold!" Christopher gritted his teeth; no one except Old Master Coldson had ever dared to slap him.

He stepped forward, about to say something, but was suddenly blocked by the appearing Adam Sterling.

"Get out of the way!" Christopher was furious, feeling like his head was about to explode.

But Adam didn’t budge; though just a psychological doctor, he was also a soldier and if Christopher wanted to size him up, he was more than willing.
