Chapter 656: Fallen Heaven Realm, Pirate Settlement, Golden Bangle Bank

--

The Fallen Heaven Realm was under the jurisdiction of the Dark Star Sector; it was one of the 12 cosmic domains and was the smallest, mostly because it has fewer opportunities and a shorter history compared to others.

Dark Star Sector itself was part of an even larger organization that governs the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm, which is the Heavenly Star Council.

Fallen Heaven Realm has billions of humans in population, but only a very few were strong. Their leader, a person who reached the Cosmic Realm in life evolution, was just that. He might be strong in his home, but in the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm? He’s just a slightly bigger ant. That’s why they could only acquiesce to the rule of the Dark Star Sector Lord and the Heavenly Star Council, by extension.

The first thing Cedric discovered as he arrived in the Fallen Heaven Realm was how boisterous it was. This place was more active than he expected; it’s like everybody here was in a hurry.

He also discovered that the size of the Fallen Heaven Realm was the same as his home, the Primeval Scarlet Dust Realm. Yet despite only having a single Cosmic Realm expert leading this place, Cedric knew that this place was more secure compared to his home.

In the end, it’s just different here. Humans of the Primitive Universe were more prosperous and advanced, and they have to be since they’re not the only creatures roaming this universe. Everybody was competing for hegemony. Their history was filled with wars, bloodshed, and eras of deep-seated grudges that nobody could remove or forget.

It wasn’t that hard for Cedric to enter this place. In fact, he didn’t even encounter any troubles or delays. He just hopped off the pirate ship from a distance and appeared directly in one of the entrances to line up. After the scanners confirmed that he’s human, he was allowed entry, just like that.

At first, Cedric heavily doubted their means of security. But when he scanned the place he was in, he understood why they could afford to be so lax. It turns out that they’re armed to the teeth. If somebody were to even think about causing chaos in this place, the high-tech weaponry hidden underground and in between spaces will suddenly appear and get rid of the threat before they could do anything.

Maybe this is why the leader of this realm was only at the Cosmic Realm, because they focused on buying weapons instead of purchasing resources for personal breakthrough.

What happened to the Space Pirates, you ask? Well, Cedric plunged every single one of them under an illusion. Then, he ordered their captain to go to the nearest Space Marine branch to surrender themselves. He explicitly ordered every single one of these filths to surrender and confess their crimes to the Space Marines; it’s only after they’re imprisoned and secured that the illusion will fade. By then, it should already be too late for them.

As for the slaves and broken people they captured, he left them to the Space Marines to handle. They should know what to do with them. So all of them were settled just like that.

The first thing Cedric did after entering the Fallen Heaven Realm was to go to the nearest Golden Bangle Bank branch.

The Golden Bangle Bank was one of the largest merchant groups in the whole Primitive Universe. Yes, they’re not just limited to the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm; they operate through all five Chaos Realms, maybe even more if rumors are to be believed.

In terms of resources and pure monetary power, there’s nobody that could compete against the Golden Bangle Bank. Rumors said that even the Heavenly Star Council had to be respectful in front of them.

Of course, their wealth has long been transformed into true power. It was said that they have at least three Universe Masters behind the scenes, and that’s enough people to deter any Chaos Realms they’re in. Moreover, they have hired many agents; some operate under the spotlight, and most hide in the shadows. It is also said that the bank never had to worry about not paying these people since they’re just simply too rich, and that attracts more people to work for them.

But beyond wealth, the Golden Bangle Bank is also famous for their integrity, especially when it comes to handling money. Nobody could compete with them when it comes to banking services; that’s why Cedric decided to go here first.

First of all, he wanted to establish an identity using the bank. As the wealthiest organization in the entirety of the Primitive Universe, the Golden Bangle Bank’s recognition and acknowledgement of his existence will be valid wherever he goes.

Also, Architect Columbus’ inheritance was also entrusted here, and the bank should honor it once Cedric shows them his credentials.

As for being a citizen of the Fallen Heaven Realm? Well, he will consider that at a later date. For now, he should open a bank account first.

The bank branch wasn’t that difficult to find. The building was eye-catching in a strange way since it looked alien compared to the buildings next to it. It is also the busiest place in here, so it’s not difficult to locate at all.

Despite being the busiest place in this area, Cedric didn’t have to wait that long before his turn came. Upon coming to the counter, a lady wearing a predominantly golden uniform greeted him enthusiastically.

"Hi, welcome to the Golden Bangle Bank! How can I help you, sir?"

The cheerful greeting of the teller didn’t sound forced at all; it’s like this lady truly likes working here.

"Hi, I’d like to open a personal account and access an old account. Also, I’d like to register my identity if it’s possible."

"Sure, sir! I’m more than happy to help with that. I assume that you’re new to the Fallen Heaven Realm, then?"

"Yeah," Cedric admitted, "not just this realm, but also the concept of the Primitive Universe itself. It’s overwhelming, but I have to start somewhere, you know?"

Cedric didn’t miss the sparkle of interest that appeared in the lady’s eyes once he revealed this to her.

Yes, Cedric did expose his identity a little bit by doing this. No, he’s not crazy. In fact, exposing some truths about his situation was all according to his plan.

It’s better for the news to come from him instead of their own investigations. He didn’t want to be labeled as a strict observation target for these people, so he might as well bow down a little bit and let them be interested for a while, then forget him, rather than be defiant and be suppressed at every move.

"I see. Well, I can totally understand what you feel. The Primitive Universe truly is overwhelming. But don’t worry, you’re safe with us. How about we start setting up your ID first, and then we can move on with your account?"

"Sounds good!"

"Great! Please tell me your name, sir."

And just like that, Cedric began to set his identity with the help of this lady.

Cedric didn’t lie in his information; however, he did tell the lady to skip the parts that are too personal, which was on purpose too. The lady told him that that’s perfectly fine; she already has sufficient information to work with anyway.

She then took his biometrics and registered him in the bank’s database. Then, minutes later, Cedric’s information was already recorded and registered. His ID was even printed right away.

They then moved on to the account opening, which was far simpler than identity registration.

Cedric then unceremoniously deposited the riches he got so far, which amounted to about 10 million Bronze Bangles. ’Bangles’ is the main currency of the Primitive Universe courtesy of the Golden Bangle Bank, a testament to how influential they were.

Once that was done, they then moved on to accessing the architect’s account.

And Cedric could swear that the lady’s gaze turned so frightening when this started. It’s like she wanted to swallow him whole in a kinky yet deliberately morbid way.

As if noticing her increasingly unprofessional attitude, she shook her head and took a moment to breathe manually to calm down.

"Please excuse my behavior just now, sir. I was just caught...off-guard." She cleared her throat, and a well-disciplined look returned to her face.

"This account must be something else, then, if it caused you to break like that," Cedric playfully said.

"It’s more than that, sir." She smiled wryly. "This is a Scarlet VIP account, sir, three stages below the highest rank of the account types our bank has and the highest membership rank one could get without joining the Golden Bangle Association."

"Oh!" Cedric was shocked. "Oh, wow..."

"Yeah. It seems that you are very fortunate to inherit this account, sir. Please take good care of this account because not many people can have it. As for what’s inside, well...I suppose it would be better to show it to you instead."

And she wasn’t wrong. It was indeed better that she showed him what’s inside instead of just telling him. Because the riches that the architect left for him were truly mind-blowing.
