Dragon Tamer
Chapter 1357 - 1361: Superior Priest

Chapter 1357: Chapter 1361: Superior Priest

Although the Sixth Lady’s magical powers were formidable, she couldn’t withstand the combined assault of the Chongwang Dragon and the Nine-tailed Dragon.

Her fox disciples and grandchildren were devoured one by one by the Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon, while the seemingly delicate and elegant Empress Luoxiang showed no concern for her life or death.

Before long, the Nine-tailed Dragon and the Chongwang Dragon subdued the ancient-level old fox spirit completely.

The Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon opened its maw wide, intending to devour this long-lived fox demon god as well.

But at that very moment, Zhu Minglang’s divine sense detected a swift bolt of lightning on the horizon. It seemed to descend from the Cloud Heaven and struck with pinpoint accuracy toward the Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon.

This lightning’s power was incredibly overwhelming—clearly celestial lightning, far beyond ordinary lightning!

The Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon reacted swiftly, immediately activating the Bipolar Beads, using the Yin Pearl to absorb the celestial lightning’s energy from the Cloud Heaven!

However, despite this, the Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon was still struck down, crashing violently into the mountain!

The mountain was instantly leveled, reduced to a massive scorched crater. The Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon relied on its Bronze Skin to withstand the celestial lightning; although it wasn’t injured, it was left dazed and groggy!

Zhu Minglang shielded the Gluttonous Lunar Eclipse Dragon and then shouted toward the heavens, "Who are you? Show yourself!"

From the azure clouds, a man with the demeanor of an immortal slowly descended, surrounded by an aura of blue and gold light. He held an Order Sword in his hand, its blade adorned with rotating glyphs of various colors.

It was evident the celestial lightning earlier had been summoned by him!

"I am the High Priest of the Temple, Jiu He," the man proclaimed loftily, standing beneath the sky with an air of arrogance. Before Zhu Minglang could respond, he continued with an authoritative tone, "The actions of this demon are for me to punish. There’s no need for a lowly god like you to interfere."

"So, you’re going to spare her life?" Zhu Minglang asked coldly, his gaze hardening as he looked at the overbearing Earth Temple God.

"That’s none of your concern," Jiu He replied dismissively. With a casual wave of his hand, he transformed the Sixth Lady into a small wild fox, grabbing its tail carelessly with one hand.

It was evident that Sixth Lady recognized the Temple God Jiu He. The moment she landed in his grasp, she seemed to turn smug, as if gaining a powerful backer.

Jiu He asked the Sixth Lady a question, then turned his gaze toward the direction of Qinghu Tianshan.

Completely disregarding Zhu Minglang, Jiu He seemed to locate Empress Luoxiang’s whereabouts. Riding on the azure clouds, he headed toward Tianshan!

His cultivation was exceedingly high; he disappeared in the blink of an eye. This left the just-awakened Little Glutton utterly furious. In all its years of dominance, no one had ever dared to strike it down with lightning!!

"That guy’s cultivation is really high, likely on par with that of Master Sister. Just remember his damned name for now. We’ll settle the score with him later!" Zhu Minglang said to Little Glutton.

Little Glutton let out a howl, frustrated but aware of its current stage of secret development. Facing such a formidable opponent, it knew when to endure. But once it grew strong enough, it vowed to mercilessly crush whoever stood in its way, be they empresses, temple gods, or celestial immortals!!

"What... what just happened here??" the Guardian King asked, completely baffled by the earlier events.

"You have a decent eye. The fox demon you picked seems to have been the pet of some celestial immortal, imbued with some immortal aura. Now it’s been taken back by that immortal," Zhu Minglang explained.

"But why? I was truly, sincerely devoted to her, despite knowing she was a demon. Yet she only wanted to use me." The Guardian King lamented sorrowfully.

"Remember to pay up when we return. I’ve saved you again," Zhu Minglang said.

"Of course, of course! By the way, Immortal Brother, could you please check what’s wrong with me? Ever since I was young, I’ve always encountered peculiar incidents—if it’s not ghosts, it’s demons. I feel like hardly anyone around me is normal. Am I cursed or afflicted by some family misfortune?" the Guardian King pleaded with Zhu Minglang.

"I don’t have the time right now. I’ll look into it later," Zhu Minglang replied, brushing him off.

"Understood, understood. I’ll prepare a grand gift to visit you in due time!" the Guardian King promised hurriedly.

...

Zhu Minglang indeed had no time to bother with him.

He flew toward Tianshan, unsure whether his Master Sister was in danger.

First of all, that demon fox in the form of a young maiden had cultivated to a level indistinguishable from humans. It wouldn’t be exaggerated to say she could marry and bear children like a regular human. Her cultivation surpassed any demonic immortals Zhu Minglang had encountered in the past.

Secondly, the Superior God Jiu He, who treated the Sixth Lady as mere livestock, was undoubtedly a renowned celestial in Jun Tian. If he intended to cover up his crimes, he might target the Weaver Star Fairy.

Upon reaching Qinghu Tianshan, Zhu Minglang found the Weaver Star Fairy.

She stood quietly atop a lone peak, amidst a silver fir tree. Her gaze was fixed upward toward the High Priest Jiu He beneath the azure clouds, clearly confronting him.

"If the Heavenly Zither Fairy wishes to accuse me, then go ahead. But today, I must take her away," High Priest Jiu He declared, showing no respect even to the Weaver Star Fairy, his tone still filled with arrogance and disdain.

"The corpses buried in Mount Luoxiang—how could you, as the Earth Temple God, turn a blind eye? You allowed your demonic pets to wreak havoc among mortals!" the Weaver Star Fairy reprimanded, her anger rising.

"Heavenly Zither Fairy, I just saved your life. With your pitiful cultivation, could you really match this Mahayana-level immortal? Whatever sins they committed, I will deal with them. Don’t overstep your divine authority!" Jiu He sneered coldly.

With those words, Jiu He waved his hand, using a powerful Boundary of Magical Powers to nullify the Soul Extinguishing Song the Weaver had unleashed.

Hiding behind Jiu He, Empress Luoxiang looked like an unrepentant mischievous girl. She stared mockingly at the Weaver Star Fairy below, her innocent-looking smile full of sarcasm, further intensifying the Weaver’s icy, forbidding aura!!

Jiu He left with Sixth Lady and Empress Luoxiang, as if none in the vast Jun Tian could stop him.

As for the devastation left behind on the mountain, he didn’t so much as glance at it.

Whatever would happen next was entirely up to Jiu He to decide.

The Weaver Star Fairy stood atop the silver fir for a long time. Zhu Minglang didn’t dare disturb her.

After a while, the Weaver Star Fairy finally flew back. She glanced at Zhu Minglang and asked, "Are you hurt?"

"Little Glutton has some minor injuries," Zhu Minglang replied truthfully.

If not for its Bronze Skin, Little Glutton would have been half-crippled. Jiu He struck hard, and his disregard for others was clear. That casual strike of lightning could have killed someone else’s dragon without it meaning anything to him.

"Let’s go back," the Weaver Star Fairy said.

"Alright," Zhu Minglang replied, noticing his Master Sister’s foul mood and deciding not to press her. Internally, he sought to console the Weaver Star Fairy.

Don’t be sad, don’t be sad...

Sigh, anger only diminishes beauty.

Once your disciple brother reaches the Mahayana level, I’ll avenge you.

I’ll make sure to rub that guy’s face into the ground over and over again!!
